Hapless - as he considers himself a person who is never destined to have happiness, fate has played a cruel hand in the closest members of his life mom, dad and now sister. Anger - considering himself a failure to stop Shyam, anger on his ability to stop the past from  repeating. Crushed - as the past continues to haunt him irrespective of how much ever he distances away from it.

Loved your post Sri...Always look forward to your take...The only thing I wanted to add here is that I was reminded of the papaya scene when Khushi felt, how could the same man be so different, an affectionate side for his sis and a rakshas to her. But today that loop was closed...Now Khushi is that special someone, he shares his deepest secrets...

Vidhya, nice to see you post so early in the hangout. The comparison was indeed to the Friday's/last week's episode when most of us almost felt like its about time for detox  for 2 reasons 1) Absolutely ramanchi with the marriage track which had nothing focused on Arhi except for Thursday and a bit of Friday 2) the way the jolt factor was introduced on Friday.

Gul seems to be back at the helm of things and as Sari pointed out expectations were very low going in but the understated scenes pulled it off.

I have to admit, I was a bit sucked into the whole symbolism thing. For the life of me I could not understand why Khushi was dragging the box before the famous I love you dammit episode, was it an indication of opening a Pandora's box?
Anyways... I am now reformedBig smile My motto - Go with the flow and not to waste unnecessary energy on a daily soap, instead sit back and enjoy till I like it.

Hain? Confused Really? I swear I had no idea there was a meaning to it. Someone needs to write me an IPK lexicon so I can keep up to speed with what they actually mean when they say something.

Weird, man. This is clearly above my touch. Mujhe sahi main kuch nahin samajh aata.

Just popping in to say 3 things.

1). Sari---thanks for saying that about the symbolisms and deeper meanings ruining it. I for one, am so thick skulled that I never get any deeper meaning out of anything. The amount Joey explained to me this weekend was astounding. I felt like I was eating Tiramisu, but counting the layers as I ate. Not even the taste of Tiramisu can rescue the pain of having to count the myriad layers.

2). Docgirl: Sobti's mumbling! Good lord..I couldn't understand several things he said today. It's terrible. I like him as much as the next person, but the mumbling has got to go! Gawd...isn't diction the first thing they teach you at acting school or wherever these chaps go to become actors?

3). Finally, I know everyone thinks today's episode is really good. I thought it was OK. Not stupendous. It's only stupendous if you compare it to Friday's Ramsay Brothers B-grade Horror movie. The lowering of the yardstick is perhaps inevitable in the face of all the yuckity yuck they threw at us on Friday. I, for one will never be able to reconcile myself to the grey cells I lost to electrocution that day. I feel like they're trying to rescue the crapshoot with classy. It might work. But I have a bit of a memory. I don't forget crap. Oh, well.

I think he mumbles more because he tries to incorporate that accent each time he speaks. And at times, like today, it all falls flat, the words don't come out right and nor does the accent!

Wasn't he speaking in Hindi for most part? I thought his accent issues usually come to the fore when he speaks English. Anyway. Bottom line...accent or not...he needs to stop mumbling. Like doc said..he can't mumble his way to superstardom in Bollywood.

It wasn't just about today, its other episodes too and I find his English dialogues hard to understand a lot of times like the last Maha Episode I still don't know if he said "you have no fashion sense or poor fashion sense" lol!
Maybe they need to tone it down with the super intense background music with his dialogues if he can't speak up.. but ya, it won't help outside the show!

The episode was really good, and very dramatic. Didn't like dadi as usual though. Her insistence in trying to get back Shyam.. it was kind of grating to me. Even in these trying times, it was as if she was proving her point with her I-told-you-so looks.
Tomorrow, is when Shyam and Arnav come face to face. It being the hospital, and since he was obviously called in by Dadi, their face-off will be very limited I think. But anyways, the game has begun.. and though Shyam may feel powerful right now, he cannot be the God-player for long.

I couldn't believe Dadi pushing Nani to bring back Shyam, she really wasted no time but in a way it is good since it leads to Arnav finally coming face to face with Shyam and realizing he was never out of the picture. I agree the face off will be limited with Shyam believing he's won but as usual that overconfidence will be his defeat, he will be back at RM alright but he won't be able to operate like he has in the past not with many of them watching him like a hawk. I truly look forward to his return at RM, it should be good.

Seriously...Dadi is super persistent isn't she?  I am eagerly awaiting the showdown..but I have a feeling they will drag it until Wednesday?  Hope I am wrong, and they show the confrontation tomorrow for trps.

But, today there were only two English dialogues. So, it can't be because of that. I hope the direction takes this into note.

Sari- lovely post as I run out of adjectives to appreciate it Clapand completely with you on trying to lay off the speculations- would certainly save us some head and heart ache.

Rabba Ve all! A very good epi esp after the Friday debacle which seemed to resort to gore and bad contrivances to create some unwarranted sensationalism. I had tuned in with less than half a heart and was more than pleasantly surprised at the brilliant carry forward.

Finally a peek into that much hinted past and all the while admirably keeping Arhi at the focus- good job CVsThumbs Up I only hope the past and the hint of the MU there, has something more concrete to it than the finally laid to rest flimsy terrace MU.

Today we saw a girl who has lost it all- parents, husband and baby. And a boy who was forced to become a man and take charge of his sister promising her a world of happiness and yet blaming himself for failing to deliver on it.

Liked the scene where a delusional Anjali takes one look at her brother and realizes she has lost the baby. Her loss reflected in his eyes- beautiful depiction of the strength of the sibling bond there.

And the scene were Arnav breaks down and shares his past and his guilt with Khushi. The setting was reminiscent of the scene aeons ago when the two had similarly sat on a hospital bench as Khushi had broken down about her father's poor health and Arnav had comforted her with a hand on her head. The two have traversed a long journey since then and yet the perpatrator of their grief is the same as it was then- Shyam

It's heartening to see Khushi acting as Arnie's strength and confidante as he continues on his petal bartan journey and I hope we'll only see more of this going forward. The past MU does give an uneasy feeling of perhaps another MU coming up soon if Garima indeed is the other woman.

When you have leads who can act superlatively, one tends to become exacting in one's expectations. And so I'd say BS was fantastic and yet we've seen better than this from him previously. Also, while I loved the way one could hear the tears in his voice, the words were even more muffled than usual. I had to rewind and up the volume at several places just to be able to hear the words

And so the IPK appeal continues- no longer an addiction but perhaps that's something to be thankful forTongue

They've come a long way now, they're one soul and this will help them get through in tougher times.

Sugar - Good post especially these parts... yes, the presence of Vigneshwara was to calm the nerves of the fandom...Throughout all the scenes, be it Arnav walking by himself nervous to see a distressed Di or be it during the sole baring and the eventual hug...Trying times but the Lord is with them...

Few days ago, he walked into the mandir for his wife but today symbolically he admitted that he wasn't in charge of his destiny...There is indeed a higher power...A changed man who finally bares his soul to the woman he once vowed to hate but fell in love even more deeply as the days went by... Importantly the story is where we want it to be...Clap

I am not sure about the trps.. but a confrontation tomorrow, may not be the right time or right place. Arnav is yet to meet his sis, and thrashing the guy black and blue, may not be the stress his sis wants right now, no matter how much Shyam deserves it. And I am sure this is going to be pointed out by Khushi, whereas Dadi will take her superior tone and say that Anjali needs her husband and that arnav cannot make all the decisions by himself.. or something of that kind. Dadi will play true to her nauseating self, but Khushi will play the role of nani and be the peacemaker.
