Salma Agha's daughter Sasha bags Yashraj's film

Newcomer Sasha Agha seems to be one lucky girl. The light-eyed debutante who is the daughter of Pakistani singing star and actress Salma Agha (Nikaah fame) has bagged a glamorous role in a strikingnew look in her debut film opposite Arjun Kapoor, who plays a double role in this intriguing drama, along with Prithviraj.
The film already boasts of a dynamic cast of Rishi Kapoor, Jackie Shroff and Amrita Singh and is scheduled for an early 2013 release. Directed by Atul Sabharwal and produced by Aditya Chopra the shoot for the film began some time in mid-August.
Although her mother earned her fame essaying conventional roles, Sashaa will have one of the most glitzy debuts next year. "She will be presented as a super glamorous heroine. But staying true to the method adopted by the Yashraj banner, her look will be guarded closely until the release of the film," says a spokesperson from Yashraj Films. Apparently, producer Aditya Chopra is personally investing time and energy to come up with the perfect look for her.
Sasha is the fourth generation actor from her family and holds strong resemblance to her mother Salma. She has changed her name, Zara being her original name. Besides her mother — most famous for her rendition of the award-winning song Dil ke Armaan in BR Chopra's Nikaah — Sashaa's grandmother, Nasreen, worked with KL Saigal in AK Kardaar's Shahjahan (1940). Salma's maternal grandfather Jugal Kishore Mehra and his wife Anwar Begum acted in Heer Ranjha in 1932.
