The singer is following a part in a remake of her favourite film Scarface.
She would like the role of hard-partying Elvira Hancock, originally played by Michelle Pfeiffer, who she's described as having "ridiculous swagger".
Universal Pictures is creating a new version of Scarface according to elements of Howard Hughes's 1932 movie and Brian De Palma's 1983 drama starring Al Pacino.
However, it's not intended to be a straight remake of either.
"Rihanna loves Scarface. A few of her music videos happen to be based on Michelle's character, Elvira.

The singer made her movie acting debut captured in Battleship, playing weapons specialist Cora Raikes.
Both Scarface movies chart an upswing and fall of the immigrant who becomes a major crime lord within the underworld, and then topples from power due to his weaknesses.
