It was gone the ego, the pride, the attitude that once took him to be an inhuman joke. The one person that dared to stand up to him was finally at mercy of him. So great was the mercy that she was ready to spend the rest of her life with the same man she detested. She was ready to kill everything her identity, her self-respect and her relations with her family in order to be a dutiful wife. The same man she took to be an inhuman joke has now made a joke out of her life in such an inhuman way.
The vows were only taken on his part to never betray her trust, to stand by her in all her high and low points in life, to protect and treat her family like his. It was a wedding that demanded nothing from her but was like a beautiful death to her. What Rishab doesn't now that he can buy her life but he can buy heart and respect? This only Madhubala can teach him. Sure those eyes are now at mercy of him but that doesn't mean her feelings towards him have changed. Sure she is now sold to him but that does not mean her disgust of him has changed to respect.
Before meeting Madhubala, Rishab only knew how to conquer others by force but he never won hearts with love. Does that mean he does not have any sensitivity left inside him? We have seen that Rishab has a soft side to the kind of animal that even some commoners would be indifferent to. But what makes him look so emotionless on the outside and hallow from within. That is what we are yet to see. We have already seen who Madhu is inside out, a headstrong girl with strong values, who believes in justice and fights for it. If it wasn't for the compassion others had on her she wouldn't be alive so in return she has great compassion for others even if they betray her at the end like Mukand. But what is Rishab's back story we still don't know.
