my reasoning is simple. had sanjay committed bigamy citing the same reasons we wouldnt have been so much agitated although it would have been an equally grave offence. why ?? coz sanjay is portrayed as a common man while mohan IS A CRIME REPORTER !! he's supposed to have a better knowledge of laws isnt it ?? he was shown thinking whether going ahead with megha will be ethically and morally right by leaving riddhima behind, he NEVER FOR ONCE thought about the legality of the entire thing. WHY ?? uske mann mein toh sabse pehle yahi sawal aana chahiye tha na ??
he accepted the MS back from riddhima and went to marry megha coz it was the easiest way out for him at that moment. but he totally overlooked the fact what severe implications it could have in their future - it can ruin his relation with megha, megha and kids will have to face severe humiliation in the society and family, he may lose megha forever, and most importantly, his career will be ruined forever.
DID HE EVER THINK OF THAT ?? NO !! all he did was to take an escapist route out. and be sure that he's soon going to face the bites of reality.
No, No, I was not trying to justify anything...there are a lot of situations in real life which cannot be justified and believe me I have been through a lot of such situations myself. When life is at stake, every thing else becomes secondary, this is what happened with Mohan also. His decision of marrying Megha came from his fear of losing her, at that time nothing else mattered to him. He was not in a position to even think about legally getting divorced, in this case yes, I agree that he was looking at the immediate thing. But that immediate thing was most important thing of his life, which he could not let go.
Thats all I wanted to say, we might analyze and pass on the judgement that what he did was wrong legally/morally, he should not marry Megha etc, but is it so easy? Mohan is a crime reporter, yes, but why is he not a common man? and why should we think differently if Sanjay commits bigamy, when the act itself is unethical?
Ofcourse, he is soon going to face the bites of reality very soon, like Sita said the cycle of karma will come full circle and it needs to be seen how he and Megha handle it and this will become the main story line of the show.
