at the early hours of the morning priya stirred a little.. trying to stretch her arms she found herself in da embrace of something warm n cozy... she rubbed her eyes to clear her vision n found Ram peacefully sleeping beside her... how on earth did that happen she thought... she looked at him closely... he didn't change much in these 5 years... only few more hair of his became grey she observed... but his face held the same charm da same innocence dat had made her fall in love with him...  unknowingly her lips stretched into a smile.. but da next moment when she remembered their current situation that soothing smile vanished.. she pulled herself carefully out of Ram's arms n placed a pillow between them making sure not to awake him.. she looked at the other side but her little one was not there.. da bedside clocked showed 20 passed 5... priya got out of bed quickly... tucking her hair into a plain bun she went on searching for peehu to the other room... there she found her bundle of joy sleeping calmly with cady beside her sitting in half lying position caressing peehu's hair... seeing priya standing at da door way she exchanged pleasantries... pulling da quilt over peehu n carefully closing da door they both came out...

C: uth gayi thi aur bohot ro rahi thi

P: areh toh tumne mujhe jagaya kyun nehi

C: aap bohot thaki huyi thi pooja.. kal saara din apne thik se khaya bhi nehi aur maine peehu ko cornflakes khila diya hai aur dawai bhi de diya hai.. abhi bukhar nehi hai.. medication ki wajah se itna so rahi hai.. so u dont worry ok

priya touched cady's cheeks lightly... bohot badi hogayi hai tu cady.. pata nehi tere bina mera kya hota

cady holding back priya's hand replied... bas trying to follow the foot steps of my inspiration...

they exchanged a round of smile

C: accha suno i gotta go now

P: abhi?? areh abhi toh 6 bhi nehi baje... itni subah kyun jayegi?

C: areh rajat sir ko pata nehi hai ki main yaha hu... sirf daija ko bata ke ayi thi n i knw she can't handle him

P: accha thik hai chali jana par breakfast toh kar ke ja.. m phataphat tere liye kuch bana deti hu

C: no issues pooja main koi guest thodi na hu.. abhi jana bohot zaruri hai.. sir ke uthne se pehle mujhe ghar pohoch na padega.. i'll meet u at the shop... thik hai

saying that she ran away

P: areh sun... sambhal ke jaana

cady replied back loudly.. haan haan dont worry... bye

P: bye... pagal ladki... she smiled nodding her head

locking the main door she checked her girl once more... n placed a kiss on each of her tiny hands n then on her forehead... brushing her cheeks once more she left the room keeping the door slightly open so that peehu's voice could reach her when she's awake    

passing by her bedroom she glanced at the sound sleeping ram... she let out a long sigh n went towards the balcony... the morning breeze was strangely soothing today... or may be thats how priya felt... may be because ram was with her.. she felt complete.. but for how long.. this all felt lyk a dream.. she shrugged off the feelings n decided that ram had to go back.. she cannot drag ram back to that troublesome life... he is married... even has a son.. so he must be happy she thought...


the sudden strident ring of the phone broke Ram's tranquil sleep.. an irritated ram answered it without even looking at da screen... hello..! he said barring his teeth
from da other side came a sharper reply... kahan hai aap?? maine kitni der taak apka intezaar kiya... apka phone bhi unreachable tha.. where the hell r u??

Ram replied in fury this tym... excuse... who the hell r u??
main hu apki biwi... replied ayesha sternly
suddenly it dawned on him... he was supposed to catch a flight to India.. though bitter but today the truth was that ayesha was his wife.. may be not to him but to the rest of the world
A: hello...! RAM main apse kuch pooch rahi hu
R: haan woh main ek kaam m phaas gaya tha.. isiliye flight miss hogayi

ram cutting her in between replied.. tum thikse pohochgayi na baas... ab main kaise aunga woh mujhpar chod do... u dont hv to worry about me... saying that he hung up

ram looked here n there in search of his 2 babies... but none of them seemed to be around.. he went in search for them when he found peehu sleeping with an angelic smile on her face... he glanced at his junior through the gap between the door n smiled... he turned to find priya standing at the balcony... slowly he covered da distance between them n thinking to himself... she hasn't changed a bit... abhi bhi usse subah ki thandi hawa mehsoos karna accha lagta hai... her hair was floating behind her... n even with no make up she looked divine he thought..

R: priya... his voice was husky n masculine
priya's heart missed a beat or 2... she shut her eyes tightly n inhaled a mouth full of fresh air before turning towards him
P: good morning... she was calm though her heart raced lyk an electric metro

P: coffee du?? saying that she turned to fetch coffee for him
ram was confused with her behavior n held her wrist tight before she could leave
priya stared at him blankly... kya hua ram?
R: wohi toh m pooch raha hu priya... yeh kya ho raha hai
P: kuch bhi toh nehi.. m apke liye coffee laney ja rahi thi... apko subah subah chahiye hota hai na
R: stop it priya just stop it, y r u behaving ki kuch nehi hua hai... ki huamare bich m sab kuch pehle jaisa hai
P: yehi toh m apko samjhane ki koshish kar rahi hu ram ki humare bich mein ab kuch bhi pehle jaisa nehi hai.. aur nahi ho sakta hai
ram let go her hand n held onto her shoulders... kyun priya kyun?? kyun nehi ho sakta?? shaking her a bit he continued... ek baar mere saath wapas toh chalo... sab kuch pehle jaisa ho jayega i promise...
she yanked his hands off her shoulder n looked at him scornfully... accha... woh kaisa hoga?? u r married Ram... apki biwi ka kya hoga?? n wht about ur son??
R: peehu bhi meri beti hai... she needs me n so do u..
priya turned away from him to swallow a big lump in her throat.. he was right both priya n peehu needed him.. but she couldn't be so selfish... she couldn't drag him back to the past.. this will make things worse for him, ayesha, their son n for her n peehu also... taking a little pause she replied... we hv learned to live without u ram... apka wapas jana hum sab ke liye accha hoga...

this was the limit for ram... he grabbed her by the shoulders n pulled her hard to look at him... enough is enough priya... tum ne mujhe apni zindegi se aur apni sabse badi khushi se panch saalon tak dur rakkha.. maine kuch nehi kaha... but not any more...  tumne mujhe ek baar bhi batana zaruri nehi samjha ki tum  zibda ho... ek bar bhi yeh batana zaruri nehi samjha ki tumhare pet mein mera baccha pal raha hai... kyun priya kyun...??

priya yelled back... toh aur kya karti main ram... aur kya karti... wapas chali jati... aur apni bacchi ko apni pehli saans uss jail ki kal kothri main lene deti..??
R: ek baar toh mujhe bataya hota
P: maine apko kitni baar call kiya ram... kitni baar.. main apko batana chahti thi.. uss waqt mujhe sabse zyada ap ki zarurat thi ram.. lekin apne phone nehi uthaya... ap kisi ke tareef karne mein itna busy the ki ek baar bhi mera phone nehi uthaya..
R: wht the hell r u talking about?? ram couldn't comprehend about wht she was talking...
P: chodiye.. ab purani bato ka koi faida nehi hai... hum sab ke liye yehi accha hoga ki ap wapas chale jaye

R: priya... tum yeh kya keh rahi ho?? peehu needs her father... ab woh bacchi hai... jab badi hone lagegi tab usko kya kahogi tum...?

P: maine aur peehu ne apke bagair jeena seekh liya hai ram... apke bagair hum ne panch saal guzarliya hai.. agey bhi guzar lenge.. lenki agar aj hum wapas gaye toh ayesha aur uske bacche ka kya hoga?? ap kyun apni basa basaya zindegi todna chahte hai

R: basa basaya zindegi?? zinda lash bangaya hu main priya... aur mere aur ayesha ke bare mein tum janti kya ho??

P: apki patni meri choti behen hai ram... mujhe nehi janna ki ap dono ki shadi kyun hui, kin halato m huyi... main uski khushi chinke meri ya apni beti ki khushahal zindegi nehi basa sakti...

R: agey kaise guzarogi apni zindegi priya?? peehu ki zindegi toh bas shuru huyi hai.. she needs a father..

priya took a pause... sucked in a whole lot of air n closed her eyes shut... she knew wht she's gonna say now will break ram's heart into thousand pieces... but she had to do it.. for Ram... for his betterment... she couldn't just go back n spoil his sleek lyf...

finally breaking the pause she uttered da unspeakable... haan ram peehu needs a father... she will get a father... saying that priya choked

ram couldn't believe his ears... wht?? wht do u mean??

P: i mean main rajat se shaadi karne wali hu... she clutched onto the railing of the balcony hard

he went in front of her n made her look at him... phirse bolo...

priya replied again looking away from him..

R: look at my eyes n say it again damn it...!

he let go off her immediately n without wasting another second stormed out of the house slamming the door hard behind him...
