Born and brought up in Hyderabad, Sarwar Ahuja, like most of the middle class responsible sons did his MBA in marketing and finance and took up a well paid job.

But the gods of tinsel town had planned something else for him. He went for a casual audition for the contest 'Cinestar ki Khoj' hosted by Zee TV all over India. While his plan was to make something good out of that wonderful evening, it just got better with an announcement loud and clear about Sarwar's selection from Hyderabad.

The contest took him to Mumbai for which he left behind a well paid job and an angry boss of course to the unreasonable world of dreams. Though taking part in the contest was for fun he soon started loving the excitement that the show bought in his life. His hard work started, there by making him the winner of the biggest contest of aspiring actors ever.

After a lot of running around, scripting, meetings, requests and 2 years of patience his first film called Khanna and Iyer was made and released by Mukta Arts and financed by Zee Television.

Though the film didn't do well at the box office Sarwar's caliber, competence and hard work helped him to survive in the worst conditions. His second release was Meri Padosan. He is currently playing the lead in the number one show on NDTV Imagine 'Jyoti'.

Prior to the contest, Sarwar was always appreciated for his acting and dancing skills and would always become the center of attraction at any event or a party. The contest was the push that he needed and deserved to enter Bollywood.

Jyoti - Pankaj/Sachin

Pankaj 27, is the middle son of the family. He is the most handsome, brilliant and jovial among the brothers. Though ironically he is the most suitable one, who could have most efficiently looked after the family business, due to his blindness, he had compromised with the situation and had chosen his career in teaching as their family business required more visual involvement to know the trends in the market and choose the right kind of products to satisfy importers' demands. After Pankaj accidentally lost his vision at a very early age, he pursued his studies further and qualified in masters of Hindi and English literature. Currently, he works as a lecturer in English literature in the University of the city. Despite his handicap, he performs his duties as a teacher excellently and is loved among the students as a remarkable professor as well as a person. His bond with students is unique and he answers their queries in a passionate, simple and unique manner.

Keshav wears disguises to solve cases and uses unique approaches to get to the bottom of the crime. Keshav runs a cloth chop, which belongs to his deceased father, as his means of survival. Keshav's penchant for chana and cracking one-liners makes him an instant hit with everyone.

Punar Vivah - Prashant Dubey

Aarti's First Husband (Divorced) He betrayed Aarti three years ago when she was pregnant. He had an affair with another woman and wanted to marry her even though it was a love marriage between Aarti and him.

Hum Ne Li Hai Shapath - Inspector Shaurya

Colleague of the other two Senior Inspectors and a new Senior Inspector.He is the son of Abhigyan's lost love Suhasini but he is unknown of it.(His first episode was on 28th April,2012)
