Yes, I have been feeling so for quite some time now. I am watching the show but that madness, that anticipation, that thrill is gone. ASR in his blue shirt doesn't quicken my heart beat anymore.  Neither do I spend countless hours thinking about the song sequence. The magic is lost. There is something absolutely breath taking about the old episodes of IPK. There must have been a reason it shot to fame. There must be a reason for the mass hysteria it created.

Nowadays, we certainly do watch the show because we love Barun and Sanaya but the magic is lost. Too may cooks spoil the broth. Here too many tracks have spoilt the show. The CVs keep  jumping from one track to another without a proper closure. The result is a mess. It is now a quick sand, the more CVs  struggle to make sense of this chaos, the deeper they sink.

The romantic scenes between Arnav and Khushi s seems forced and unnatural, almost rushed. Previously, they could leave us gasping for air with their staring into each others eyes. We used to anticipate a hand holding scene, a kiss or a hug. Now no amount of song and dance, hugs can re create the magic. Too much of a good thing can not always be wonderful.

very very well worded... the scenes were forced and unnatural...and u know what something else is also eclipsing my obsession and that is after being treated the whole day like a slave u get some romantic moments ... does that heal????? I dont know why I am I writing this may be ur words  triggered me...

Hello Chaitali, can relate to how you feel.  Indeed I find the Forum far more interesting that the series itself.  Apparently, the new entry - Dadi and whatever associated with her with respect to Arnav and Khushi's past may take very long to come out hence dragging out the series even more.  While the new entry adds value to the overall track and moving the series further, I hope the tracks don't get lost somewhere down the line.

@Bold
You have  put it in a better way and completely agree with you

My obsession is surely drying off now and I just watch the show for the sake of watching and visit the forum as a stress buster due to heavy workload at office. But earlier it wasn't the same

totally agree yaar... whether we agree or disagree the forum is a stress buster...

Yes, I am watching the show out of habit. Also because this is the only Indian show I had been following regularly.  And lastly because I have met some wonderful people on the forum and it is a sheer pleasure to talk to them and read their views. You are right about the stress buster part. The forum at times keeps me sane, believe it or not. It is a madhouse here and sometimes it is therapeutic, at least for me. Coming back to the show, I love Barun and Sanaya but great actors can't do much if there is not much of a storyline. You can't expect to sail through the choppy waters for over months now and so far the sea shore is nowhere in sight because the captain of the ship and his crew members neither have the capability or the will to steer the ship to safety. Almost all parts of the ship have got damaged and water has started to gush in from several gaping holes but the steward is unconcerned. Equipped with safety jackets and safety boats, he and his team are deeply involved in fun and frolic and have turned deaf ears to the screams of  the fans aboard the sinking ship. They are confident that if the ship sinks they would be able to sail to a nearby safe island.

@Bold
Couldn't agree with you more. They are brilliant actors and no doubt about that but they can't enact if the storyline, script and dialgoues suck

@Red
Love your metaphorical explanation on the current situation and yes it's needless to say I agree with each word of yours

The problem with the show is its inconsistency with regard to tracks and characters. I'm not sure if CVs and PH are compelled to serve their actors demands or viewers demands. Because it looks more like they bow out for the actors more than the viewers Sleepy

I posted it somewhere else in the forum but posting it here again because Chaitali, you got me in that rant mode again. Smile I was seething with anger and frustration at the utter nonsense being dished out lately and hence the following rant.

That song sequence didn't particularly do wonders to my mood. To me, it seemed forced, unnatural and rushed. Khushi's heart is all of a sudden bursting  with love for ASR. She seems to have forgiven and forgotten the atrocities of ASR. Love is truly blind.

 ASR too seems to suddenly feel righteous about his "wife"  too. He has woken up from his hibernation and realised that he is married and Khushi is his "wife". So he has turned into a new leaf. So we see a saintly, loving, caring husband in Arnavji.

Anjali has stopped being clingy. Weeping Willow has decided to forgive and forget too. She is all nice and understanding. Even defends Khushi, Though there are still few bouts of tears now and then, she seems to be very much in control of herself. (Read in between the lines: She has taken to doing pujas again.  A regular visitor to the temples.So all is well with out "Pujali".

Since Shyam is no longer there to make Khushi ji's life miserable, and Arnav ji is in a rush to prove himself a loving, caring husband, the onus of creating trouble in their lives is on Dragon lady a.k.a Dadi.

Aakash continues to be irrational. Since he has been given very less screen time, the sulky look has been done to perfection. He is yet to develop a spine. Maybe he is going old ASR way. so that the CVs could bring in the "Redemption" track for him.

Payalia seems to be the way she was before. She is as obsequious as before. She is always in "about to burst into tears" state. She is as animated as a painting on the wall. The poor girl doesn't have much to look forward to except an atrociously "made" MIL whose only purpose in life is to hurl insults at her two bahus and speak gibberish which isn't even funny anymore and grates on my nerves now.  Her spineless and irrational husband sulks and makes guest appearances. And when he does, it is always for his "Maa" or "Di". For his wife, he only feels anger, the reason for which can't be explained logically.

And I am out of my mind for watching this show. It seems Common Sense is really not so common. In spite of knowing better, I end up watching the show, feel frustrated and end up pontificating on IF almost everyday. My reasoning has gone for a vacation and has refused to come back.

Hi Rayka... firstly any track takes a long long time to unfold and if at all it does get solved... it's so abrupt... Arnav tortured Khushi for 5 months and then suddenly one fine morning he chooses to believe his wife... Anjali suddenly starts smiling at Khushi... and everybody chooses to keep things under wraps... and even the scenes are repetitive... a holding hand scene and Arshi falling on each other mean a lot for an unmarried couple on their journey to discover love but not after 6 months marriage...

and being a Sanaya fan ... cant c her turning into a Gopi Bahu... it was an album... whats the big fuss...

i havent watched the show from its initial days and for me yes it was always abt sarun's chemistry when i first got glued to ipkknd...yesterday's scene was beautiful in it's own ways...it depicted the maturity ij their relationship...the hurt arnav was going through and khushi felt without him actually saying anything...the song, the atmosphere, their expressions everything was so...so arhi in its own little ways...so no offence but i slightly disagree or rather completely
