Let them focus on her insecurities and the impact it has on their relationship.
nishi the characters are there obviously...me too liked her insecurities...though a little odd when this is the same girl who was hell bent that arnav will come and marry her despite him coming face to face with his past...a issue which had marred him for life, made him the man he was before meeting khushi!!!! she never doubted him then and now despite assurances she is still worrying???   if her faith in him never wavered at that time then how can sheetal a woman who meant nothing to him bring insecurities in her...if it's because of aarav then it still makes sense...as she might be worrying if aarav does turn out to be arnav's son then what she might do...but i would want to see her jealous rather than doubting arnav or insecure abt his love!!!!
btw why didn't khushi find it odd that aarav is meeting his father when the previous night sheetal had said that she could never reveal the father's name as that would destroy the happiness of many people????

as for intensity, well, never too late, it's a matter of having the will. of course the mandir wedding was it. in fact in my skd he never really could bring himself to put a date on that contract. of course in my skd he made khushi sign a contract but in the madness of the moment she never looked for the date of contract end. and asr couldn't say to mr roy this marriage is only for six months. so it is like a legal document that says they are married, signed by a registrar and witnesses. asr being tycoon, he could get it done without the usual formalities. which is why he called her his legally wedded wife. remember? Big smile

i can see khushi fretting by poolside, angst ridden about sheetal, telling asr how she can't breathe when she imagines anyone threatening her chhoti si duniya with arnavji, even the meant nothing people. i can see him getting mad at her at first when she is angry and off, then beginning to get it, when she says how much his mentioning the contract hurt her after their fight right there that night of di's attempted abortion; because ever since eight she has feared sudden endings of close relationships, she never had anyone all her own till he became hers in that aneeb ankahi ansooni. way i can see him looking at her and telling her why he said what he did, what he actually told himself: i will bring you back before the contract ends and make you a part of my life. finally, he tells her how hard he struggled after their mandir wedding to draw up a six month contract but couldn't. what she'd signed on was in effect a contract of belonging to each other as husband and wife, forever.

intensity is them. even when he sits by her and asks are you upset, without touching kissing nothing. the writing is missing.
di but the execution does kill a part of the intensity...in earlier epis...you could feel the intensity even when they spoke on the phone...they need not be present in front of each other...yes the writing is missing and so is the execution of the scene!!!!! there are lots of no touching moments but my fav is the diwali one where he is just watching her at the party with the jadu hai nash hai playing in the background!!!! that was one intense scene!!!!Day Dreaming
PS...i have nothing against the characters or the tracks shown...its the execution which bothers me...

mou...not sure but looked like bad direction...sometimes they shoot under pressure...deadlines...tokhon they don't have the leisure to correct the subtle gestures or expressions of the actors...sometimes some scenes are also incorporated at the last minute...so am not sure...maybe the director's execution was wrong!!!! plus oder ei hurry-burry ta bhujhte paarchi na...eto tada hoodo keno???

i completely agree with you. 2 jan episode case in point. they just speak on the phone and i am full of a sense of attraction and intensity. interestingly, asr doesn't even look as dishy as he has been on the basket ball court, yet he is all asr and hearthudding in his personality.

everything is sweet to the point of almost casual last few days. my memory adds the tension and attraction perhaps. him looking at her throughout that diwali party as though he can't help himself, starting with him spotting her in red saree sitting amid a circle of diyas, classic and incredibly sexy.

aw i want all that back. sigh.

the entire pace is so different, more serial like, less ipk, which used to be more leisurely, dwelling on little nuances, telling seemingly unnecessary but interesting things. 2 jan opens on a scene in gh just a few days before payal's wedding and buaji has her lehenga all ready for khushi to wear. almost 10 minutes on pretty non utility oriented talk, not taking story forward or anything. yet really natural, fun, establishing relationships, personalities, so much. much later when garima would slap khushi after the temple wedding, and buaji tell her she is not their own, all of this would add emotion, nuance, and tell us somewhere that the anger came from love. maybe it's not even planned but comes as a result of writing with integrity and executing with that too.
now we rush. every word is establishing some obvious thing. no time to breathe, feel, be.

as for anjali. how the character has evaporated. why not show her coping with the complex emotion of losing a husband she was nearly obsessed with? also her feelings for a lost child? why the rush to happy happy? nk, mamaji, easily explained in a couple of lines, but never. akash/payal, how about normal interaction. all along weird little interjections of something brewing, then its mysterious disappearance. clearly, no serious supervision of minor character tracks.
