Again I am copy pasting something that I wrote in another post. It was related to the Rangmunch article: http://rangmunch.tv/index.php/writers-gully/reflections-menu/item/1262-a-fairytale-romance-dozes-0f-reality-ipk
"This was a very well analysed and written. The sole reason I am watching this
series is because it is different from the other shows and the
characters stay true to their basic nature. ASR wallowing in guilt is as
unrealistic ( for a fictional character :P ) as it is for Khushi to
seek revenge. That is why, a redemption never made sense, to me atleast!
ASR won't give into it, nor is Khushi asking for it. They both look at
the bigger picture, their families.
He is a man of action, who
looks forward. When he realises he has made a mistake, he is not the
kind to sit and weep, but focus on the crux of the problem and go about
solving it. He realises that the past cannot be changed, but the future
is in his hands so feeling guilty is pointless. Also, I think recently all his romantic overtures are kind of similar to his past cruel actions. They have even showed the flashback related to them. In his own way, he is trying to replace those old unhappy memories, with new romantic ones.
Khushi is very
empathetic. She understands people's emotions drive their actions.
Hence, even after he has hurt her, she can't bring herself to stay angry
at ASR. She knows love and concern for his sister forced him to take
this action. After knowing this, how can she hate him ?
of the story: They have stuck to their basic personalities. The expected
redemption will make IPK like any other dramas on Indian telly and we
don't want happening, do we?"
In short, malaa naahi waatat ki ASR kadhi Khushi la sorry bolel. Kaaran, in his mind, tyaane hey sagla, tilaa traas deyaala nahi kela, pan tyachya bahini saathi kela hota. Hya process madhye Khushi la unnecessary traas jhala, hey toh swataahla kabool karto. But in his mind he is justified. Also, like ASR, Khushi pan apla dukkha saglyaan paasoon lapavate, even ASR. So, looking from his perspective, Khushi seems okay and understands his actions. She has not complained or demanded justice. Moreover he knows she loves him. So he sees no reason for redemption as such. That is not his style. So, poriinno, this unapologetic ASR is the one we all fell in love with :D
Also, I have to say this. Instead of blaming ASR, I blame Khushi. Tichya sarva traasaa saathi I think she is responsible. Tiche sagle decisions emotional asatat. ASR che sarva cruel actions were his reactions to Khushi's emotional actions. Also, malaa tichaa saglyaat raag tevhaa yeto, jevha ti sagla sahan karte. Tond nahi dila aahe ka? Radat kaay baste! Malaa hi ideach nahi patat. Me tichya jaage asale asati, solid jhapla asata samorchyaala! Mag baghuya, konaachi himmat hote te! Tichya hyaa wagnya mule, konach tila seriously nahi ghet.
