After the grand sangeet, all got back home tired.. The next day went by fast... Other pre marriage functions like HALDI happened during the day..
The party was due for the evening...
The guys booked a hotel and gathered there.. Ram.. His chachu.. Vikram.. Some more of his friends and Harish... He arrived with a handycam.. With the intention that he would record ram blabbering stuff about priya in a drunken state...
The woman had gathered in kapoor mansion.. Priya.. Prema chachi.. Prachi bua.. Madhu bua.. Nuts.. Neha and some more ladies...
Rams parents were forced to attend a friends party and they wanted to go there.. Gyaan, the ever padhaku never bothered to join either of them..
At the hotel.. Harish had started drinking the moment he entered.. And by now, he was totally drunk.. In no condition to speak.. Ram took the camera from him and started recording videos..
Chachu: pata hai ram ek shadi shuda aadmi ki sabse badi dushman kaun... Uski biwi... Har baat pe muh fula k bait jayegi.. Fir uske aage piche ghumo.. Usko manao..
Vik: sahi baat hai.. Aur tere har cheez pe haq jamane lagegi.. Teri privacy ki poori dhajjiyan uda degi dekh lena..
Friend: haan.. Aur hai na humesha mujhe nayi sari chaiye.. Ye jewellery chaiye.. Aur leke do..
Chachu: aur agar prema ki tarah chef nikli na.. Phir jha bhi jao ye bartn lao wo bartn lao..
Vik: arre akele jane de tab na.. Sab jgh.. Mai bhi chalu.. Mai b chalu

Vik and his chachu along with his friends kept ranting.. Ram just kept recording.. He had not touched the dring nor did he intend to.. He was enjoying looking at the others...
Meanwhile at the spinster party.. The ladies were sitting in natashas room with a cup of coffee each...
Chachi: priya.. Meri ek baat kaan khol k suno.. Ye jo pati hote hai na.. Inhe apne control me rakhna chaiye.. Thodi si dheel di na toh sir pe chad jayenge..
Prachi: and haan.. Ram ki har baat maan na haan beta..
Madhu bua: arre.. Har baat maan ne ki koi zarurat nahi.. U are independent priya.. Tumhari soch ram se alag ho sakti hai.. Tumhe poora haq hai apne soch ko sab ke samne rakhne ka.. Ram ki ardhangini hone wali ho tum.. Wo tumse unche stan pe hai aise mat sochna.. Dono barabar ke sathi ho.. Samjhi..
Neha: aur pata hai.. Aise na chotti chotti baat pe kabhi kabhi muh phula ke baith jana.. Fir jab wo manayega na.. Hai hai.. Kitna romantic lagta hai..
Prema: haan.. Aur jab tum ruthogi aur wo manayega na.. Tab tumhe jo chaiye sab maang lena...
Neha: and haan.. Uske saath rehna.. Nazar rakhna.. U know.. In mardo ko zyada choot nahi deni chaiye..
On both the sides the married people kept ranting and the to be wed couple kept listening.. Later when all went back to their respective homes,
Ram called up Priya..
Ram: hi priya..
Priya: hi ram.. Kaisi rahi party.
Ram: party was good.. Yaa.. It was good..
Priya:great..
Ram: sach batau priya.. Inn logon ne mujhe dara dia hai.. Mujhe questions aa rahe hai like agar ye log shadi se itne nakhush hai toh hume kyu karne keh rahe hai shadi..
Priya: same here ram.. Par i guess hume tension lene ki zarurat nahi.. Hai na.. Kyu ki hum toh the usual typical married couple nahi hai.. Apni baat alag hai.. Hai na..
Ram: u are right priya.. Hume tension lene ki zarurat nahi.. Chalo ab soo jao.. Kal subh shadi hai.. Tumhe accha dikhna hai na.. Toh phir..
Priya: Goodnight Ram..
Ram: goodnight priya..
The D Day dawned.. Kapoor mansion looked busy.. People were dressing up and running here and there.. All were ready and gathered in the living room when they noticed someone missing... Ya.. Ram.. No one had seen him since morning.. All were busy getting decked up and forgot Ram.. His chachu decided to go and bring him.. He went to Rams room and knocked the door.. No response.. He tried again.. No response.. He then finally turned the knob and entered the room to see ram still sitting on the bed, his nightclothes on and the duvet over his head..
Chachu: ram.. Kyu hua.. Chal bhai.. Ready ho ja.. Sab tera wait kar rahe hai..
Ram: chachu jana zaruri hai kya..
Chachu: matlab? Arre teri shadi hai.. Tu nahi toh kon jayega.. Chal chal uth.. Ready ho ja.. Priya waha paunch bhi gayi jogi..
Ram: mujhe darr lag raha hai..
Chachu went out of the room and sent gyaan in..
Gyaan: ram bhai.. Meri baat suniye.. Aaj mai aapko bataunga aap ko uth ke ready kyu hona hai... Aaj ki date.. 17 march 2012.. Aaj ki date pe aapki shadi tai hui hai... Meri hone wali bhabhi priya se..
Ram: mere baap.. Bas kar.. Mai ja raha hu ready hone.. 10 min de mujhe mai neeche milta hu tujhe.. Ab jaa...
Soon Ram got ready and they left for the venue... Ram was forced to mount a horse and go some distance near the hall.. Soon after, the kapoors entered.. They were welcomed with aarti and flowers by the sharma family..
Ram was led to a well lit stage and made to sit.. The pandit started the mantras.. Priya was called in sometime... Neha bought her out... She looked stunning in her lehnga... Ram kept looking at her..
The pandit made ram and his family sit on one side and priya n her family on the other..he made both ram and priya and their families recite some mantras and then asked priya to come and sit next to Ram saying she now belonged to Ram and the Kapoor family..
Soon the regular rituals began.. Ram and priya sat in front of the fire doing havan.. Soon it was time for Kanyadaan.. Sudheer came ahead and placed priyas hand on Rams... And did all the necesaary pooja..
Then, as told by the pandit, Ram picked up the mangalsutra and slowly took it towards priyas neck.. She moved forward and ram tied the 3 sacred knots.. He then took a pinch of sindoor and put it on her forhead... Natasha was called for the ghatbandhan and Ram and Priya stood up for the pheras.. Priya being in a heavy lehnga was unable to get up.. Ram helped her up and took her hand in his.. He then went around the fire completing the pheras..
After the pheras came the next important ritual.. 7 Betel leaves with haldi and kumkum were placed on the ground at some distance from each other.. The pandit would recite mantras and the newly wed would take steps ahead..
Each mantra meant a promise to be kept for a lifetime.. Promising happiness and togetherness for life..
Priya was standing next to the leaf and ram to Priyas right.. He put his arm around her shoulder holding her close and held her hand to support her... Together they took the 6 steps.. The pandit then recited the final mantra which said that they will remain with each other till death.. Ram and Priya looked at rach other.. She hesitated for a minute.. Ram just nodded his head in positive.. And together they took the last step..
The wedding was declared over and Ram and Priya were declared to be man and wife..
Soon they bowed down to every elder taking their blessing for a long happy married life..
Soon after was the bidaai.. Bidding adieu to her fathers house, she was now going to her house.. Her husbands house.. She hugged sudheer and prachi bua..sudheer hugged ram.
Sudheer: ram beta.. Meri beti thodi nakchadi hai.. Gussewali hai.. Par dil ki boht saaf hai.. Iska khayal rakhna beta.. Choti si umar me isne boht saha hai.. Ab iski khush rehne ki baari hai..
Ram: Ji papa.. Mai poora khayal rakhunga priya ka.. Aap chinta mat kijiye..
Sudheer: aur tu.. Waha jake apna rob mat jhadna.. Sabke sath acche se reh aur khush rakh sabko.. Teri shikayat nahi aani chaiye.. Samjhi...
Priya: ji papa..
Priya hugged sudheer one last time before turning to leave.. Both father and daughter were teary eyed.. Ram wrapped his arm around priyas shoulder and led her to the car..
Soon.. They reached Kapoor mansion..
Here, all were ready to welcome the newly wed couple.. A kalash filled with rice was ready at the doorstep.. And a bit further was a tray containing a mixture of kumkum and water..
KK: Priya beta.. Ab tum officially iss ghar ki beti ho...
