Barunroxx7: For your kind information, the TRPs during the silly comedy track were 3.3 and 3.0, fell to 2.8 and climbed back up to 3.1. That track was in mid April. From what I remember, the lowest IPKKND has gone is 2.3 during 16th May - 22nd May, but that was after the "silly comedy" was over.

Mind you, IPKKND is on the 8th position, not out of the top 10.

So you see, Priyanka is right. It never fell to 2.0 during that track. She won't lie, I know how her that much. The reason you don't remember the "month" IPKKND fell to 2.0 is because there wasn't one! So please keep your "facts" to yourself.

Sorry Rima for spoiling your awesome thread. It annoys me when people make up stories and call them facts with nothing to back it up Ermm Anyways, great topic!

I kind of went through the stuff and I have to agree these guys (PH and the Writers) are sapping my optimism for the show.  I am beginning to realize that I was way better off watching American TV than these Indian shows.  The whole show is going to hell in a hand basket and their way of reviving it is "introducing and old hag that is going to insult and torture the most lovable character in the entire show".

Last two days have been "hell" do deal with.  This attitude that just because the guy stood there with her, it is ok is just mind-boggling.  Let us look at the brilliant writing:

1.  Dadi mistook Khushi for a maid -- Why is that? -- Oh Khushi was carrying some water and looked like she had worked with some dirt -- what the f**k kind of a person does that -- so as soon as you see someone with some dirty water and some dirt on their face they become MAIDS.  OK let us say it is possible.

2.  When she is told that Khushi is Arnav's wife, this OLD BITCH doesnt apologize, instead retracts from blessing her grand daughter-in-law.

So, on one hand we have something that looked like a "brilliant" plan for redemption of an ass-hole character that goes down the drain the minute we see this Queen Bitch start her act but more importantly in the middle of the hell she is in, the adorable Khushi is subjected to more insults and she is supposed to just take them.  Honestly this is real "discrimination" on the show.  These nincompoops havent realized and a bunch of women working on they show havent even so much as objected to it -- shows that for earning a "living" people will accept anything.

Now I want address something already said by  Harshita and Ayirekhushi -- "something is missing" -- YEP IT IS -- DIGNITY.

These deranged and completely retarded writers dont understand the meaning of "Preserving the Dignity" of the Female Lead.  If they showed that Arnav insulted her, it was to an extent OK because they are in love and he has a "LIFETIME" to make up for it.  WHY on EARTH are these nimrods hell bent on showing every single character hurting Khushi?

What the hell is this FREAK SHOW? -- Constantly going after one single person and just making her FEEL LIKE CRAP over and over and OVER again? -- Oh Khushi may feel good, the guy is beginning to get closer to an apology, we have to f**k it up, how do we do that?  Well Introduce the QUEEN BITCH in addition to Manorama so we have two ugly hags running around insulting people because that is where we preserve "SUSPENSE in the SHOW"!!!  How does that accomplish the primary purpose of any TV show -- which in my book is entertain people and send them home with something warm and fuzzy?  Or is their whole goal make people feel like SHIT that they are actually watching a show and getting attached to the characters?  I guess these people who have never experienced a happy day in their f**ked up lives cannot show it on TV -- how can we ask someone that doesnt understand "Dignity", "Duty", "Happiness", "Joy", "Pride" all these nice words -- we cannot explain it to nimrods that understand just one word "INSECURITIES".

This introduction of another character who will be rude to Khushi is really a last nail.

This is one aspect of "CULTURE" that seems to be speaking to us.  People are happier watching others in pain than watching people living happily -- this is a representation of what Indian TV watched by millions everyday.  May be we are just watching the wrong shows.  They like taking someone who is Happy and Chipper and make them Unhappy and DOORMATISH and then say that person is MAHAN for some reason!

I cannot end this tirade with a "cheers" -- but the writers deserve some public humiliation for continuing to delay this "much needed redemption" of Arnav.

On the forum itself, there are some really smart and creative people here but like in any group there are a bunch of people with Vacuum in the place of a "brain".  In general when we walk into a discussion, we kind of size up some people with brains and ones that will argue just for the sake of arguing and will do it without any point.  But the problem with the forum is we assume that everyone has a "BRAIN".  Unfortunately after writing a few times, we realize that we are sooo wrong!!!  The Vacuum population is LOUD and always around.

Wow!
Maverick...buddy...you nailed it!
I agree with every word of yours...I have been ranting on and on past few pages about the same thing...glad I took a nice break and came back to see your post...
As much as I loved the way Arnav supported Khushi in the recent episode, I am super frustrated from the inside, not because of the track but because of the characters..
There is just no balance...I have a lot to say...
Firstly, we have lady Hitler enter the house who assumed Khushi is a servant just because the poor girl was gardening, had put her hair up while working and hadn't decorated herself with heavy jewelry sets...and then she throws her out of the temple, shows her her 'aukat'...damn that woman! To add to my fury nobody makes the slightest attempt (except NK) to tell Dadi that she is the eldest Bahu...Payal as usual was mum...nothing is more important to her than making her gutless husband's lunch and giving him his handkerchief...and she is the sister Khushi loves and almost sacrificed her life for *rolls eyes*
Mami is good for nothing...she is nothing but a walking talking Christmas tree...
Aakash has no role...he doesn't and will never appreciate what all Khushi did to bring Payal and him together...
Anjali still mourns over her pathetic husband with people crying over her and her helplessness...and to make things worse Dadi is here to add to her sympathy cart...
And all these characters directly affect Khushi...they taunt her, they mock her, some do with silence and some with words...Dadi is here to add to the brainless, illogical and always-ready-to-mock Raizada Clan...*sigh* And who suffers between all this...Poor Khushi...
Happy that for once Arnav took her side...happy that he realized that it was his fault all this while...BUT...you are right about 'DIGNITY' being missing here...no matter what people do..absolutely nothing can give Khushi all her happiness and self-respect back...
Now...what I want, which I think will makes things better and Khushi more significant here,is Arnav to sincerely 'apologize' here...he hasn't done that yet because he isn't regretting yet...because he hasn't completely realized the depth of his mistakes and all the wrong he has done to Khushi...
So...still being optimistic here...*fingers crossed*

today I feel the anger in your comment which I neverhave. so I can see they have crossed the lines.

the crass 'servant' thing was brought in to glorify ASR's act of saving her dignity.

so you see Khushi's dignity can be butcchered time and again but ASR's will be preserved at all costs.

i am aghast at the writers who created a beautiful character like Khushi  and yet do not give her anything but scraps. it is like a neglected child who gets scraps of parents love

@ Manal

You are right. theere are a bunch of spineless creatures in RM in the name of relatives

Payal is a shame on a sister sometimes. I have always longed for a sister. But she makes me want to think otherwise nowadays.

NK is the only saving grace. He scoes over all others including Khushi's husband and sister, in being happy for her and standing up for her

If you are not able to see through his redemption then clearly you are not grasping the show very well .

Beg to differ! IPKKND isn't that different or complex from any other show on television. At the end of the day, the female lead is a self sacrificing, born to bear all taunts with a smile, sacrifice everything for everyone's happiness with a smile heroine! At the end of the day, like every other serial, every new twist and turn, the heroine is the obe who is the target e.g. Dadi.

It never ceases to amaze me that after perpetuating so much grief on a poor hapless girl, there are legions of women not wanting ASR to grovel! In ASR's words "Unbeleivable"!

Spot on rima, the track is gd n episodes r gd but Sth is missing, my fav scene ever is the 'what if Id lost you' scene n I think the diff between then n now is the intensity in the scenes... Look at Diwali almost kiss which is like seared into our minds n look at the series of almost kisses :s lack of intensity n things moving too fast...

You wrote what I was feeling Rima. This is a retribution without the regret. How wierd is that Stern Smile

Now that they have brought Dadi in, I don't see how that regret will happen. Waiting and hoping is all we have been doing and looks like we are going to keep doing it
And I don't understand why people think regretting over his actions will change ASR's character because, like you said, there's no disgrace in being humble.

harshu when i made the post I knew I was in for trouble and controversy.

in real life i avoid such things like the plague.

but if something has to be said I just go  for it full on, not caring for the consequences

I made the thread to make a point and explain what was missing...and maverick pointed out rightly that it is dignity for khushi

I also wanted to say that they time and again bring khushi down to build their bizarre story of redemption or whatever
