What you've said is true. Absolutely true. The only element missing here is the proper redemption...but since the CVs are hell bent upon showing 'different' things, then I think even if they just show Arnav respectfully marrying her and treating her, things would turn around and this empty gap will be filled.
Its just the way he has behaved in the past that's hindering our current pleasure of watching Arnav standing by Khushi. I LOVED today's episode though.
I was thinking, wasn't ONE ASR enough, that we had to watch one more female and sadder form of ASR in the same screen space? I want this weird woman OUT. I don't care about the past right now.
I FREAKING DO NOT CARE.
I WANT ARSHI.
I swear, I am gonna SPAM 4 lion's wall if they'll do something stupid with this dadi drama. Get Arshi re-married and send them on their honeymoon. Get Dadi back to her stupid Aashram and then after the honeymoon, Shyam can be back for all I care. I WANT husband-wife's.."MEANINGFUL" moments. I don't care much about consummation (I do, but not much)..what I care about is that -sharing and caring' which is missing.
I guess, we'll get it...since the track's progressing in that way...but I do not want the ugly past to come up right now. They can save it for the later. ABHI, its ALL about ARSHI.
And, here's why ...
ASR can't be Devdas.- well, yes...he can be...but with a dash of unique helplessness and desperation and that anger and passion that even Devdas lacked, and hence..people say that he can't be devdas.
ASR is unique- indeed! Who'd know that better than us?
But tell me when he gave her gifts wasn't he being majnu?- He was being a thoughtful lover. Not a cheesy majnu. If he would have been that, then I sure he would have had a goofy grin plastered over his face, but he was just enjoying Khushi's pleasure...silently. He...was just being there..for her..in her happiness and was basking in her glow. Majnus don't do that, and hence, people don't like to call him one!
When he ran after the ambulance wasn't he bing devdas?- Desperate? yes. Devdas? No. Why? Because devdas just sat around and used to drink himself to oblivion and just used to think about his love...and never really DID something and eventually became a waste. But ASR does quite a lot. like freaking and fretting over her..and actually pestering her. While Devdas never did that!
When he beat up his employee wasn't he the posessive lover and husband?- Husband? Yes. But possessive? No. He was just being a perfect gentleman and husband. He just couldn't stand that someone, other than him (twisted logic he has, I know..when HE had himself called her characterless..but then!) had the guts to talk about HIS Khushi like that!
When he faught with Dadi for her wasn't he the good husband?- ABSOLUTELY. But he got an external force to behave that way.
So I refuse to buy this argument that sayong sorry or feeling regret will change ASR's 'character'. -Totally man! Even I refuse to buy this argument. But I differ on only on one point, he needn't say sorry or regret his actions or risk possible change in his character, what he needs to do is, RESPECTFULLY, make Khushi..HIS wife. AND to maintain that position for life. IF he does that, whether the ASRish way or in an Arnav way, I don't think there will be any problem about the possible risk of character change!
They say there is no disgrace in being great or humble
But Arnav knows that humility always doesn't go down well with his wife. She is FIRE. And even she needs some pushing and pulling to make her see sense. And hence, the humbleness is all gone. But yes, he NEEDS to be sweet to her..
At least now.
And from now on...he MUST be..or else it can cost him his life..his love.
