Priya looked at the retreating figure of Ram...head and heart never go hand in hand...She knew she had an important decision to make...She dialed the mess and requested to be placed through a number...In some time the number was connected...Priya spoke when she heard a familiar hello on the other end...After a few minutes she placed the receiver back...Satisfied she plonked on the bed...eyes melting into a peaceful sleep after a long time.

Ram happily trudged back into his room. He freshened up and got ready. He looked at his reflection in the mirror, although he hadn't slept at all his eyes bore no marks of it. In fact he could himself see the happiness in his eyes..So lucky he thought, that he had found Priya...who would have thought that a recluse like him would end up falling in love...
Ahem Ahem...Major Ram Kapoor and admiring himself in the mirror, got to be the 8th wonder of the world...
Ram smiled at Aditya's reflection in the mirror...Adi, thanks buddy...i owe you big time...
Aditya: That you do Major and have no worries i shall make sure i get my dues that too with interest...
Ram: Any time Adi, any time...By the way i am allowed the drill today?
Aditya: As a matter of fact i just came to inform you that you can start with the drills, it would help your body re adapt to the routine..In fact Major Sengupta is waiting for you...So off you go...all the best
Ram: Thanks Adi...i better rush before Major Sengupta earmarks me for being late...see you later...
Ram dashed off for the drill. It had been quite some days that he had to miss drills due to his injury, but today he had the permission to it all. He felt a spring in his steps as he approached the drill grounds..
Major Sengupta: Ahh...the injured warrior is back...
Ram: Alive and kicking Sir...
Major Sengupta: Get rolling lad...lets see if your body is ready...
Ram placed a salute to Major Sengupta and started off with the drill...Within no time he was halfway through...Major Sengupta watched with pride as his brightest pupil breezed through the toughest of the exercises...
Ram entered the last leg of the exercises with only Nikhil a close behind him...There were only 5 rounds of the jog remaining and Ram was at full speed. He often competed with Nikhil, the only one who could actually come close..
Ram was into his 3rd round when he saw Priya and Mahesh approaching along with Col Singh...Ram felt his heartbeat increased as he saw Priya...Although it had only been a few hours apart from her he had been missing her...He felt she looked more beautiful now than when he had seen her in the night...A smile spread through his lips as the sequences of the night rolled out in front of him...His running speed decreased and he was caught totally unaware when Nikhil surpassed him...
Major Sengupta watched him very carefully, he could make out that the lady with Mr. Singh was the reason of Ram's distraction...Matters of the heart not to mixed with duty, duty always comes first...
Major Sengupta: Kapoor...he thundered...
The voice immediately broke Ram's chain of thoughts...Yes Sir...
Major Sengupta: What's wrong, you are not paying attention?
Ram floundered, he could never escape the hawk eyes of Major Sengupta: No Sir...i was just tying my shoe laces...
Major Sengupta smiled a bit.. as if he was never young...he thought...Do 10 more rounds Kapoor...
Ram looked at Major Sengupta astonished...But Sir...i was just...
Major Sengupta: Make it 20...
Ram's face fell...it was no use arguing with Major Sengupta. He put his head down and carried on with the task...Out of the corner of his eye he could see Priya smiling...sure she must have heard the whole interaction...wait till i get you lady...we shall then see who smiles...Ram finished through the 20 rounds...
Nikhil: You lost today Ram...
Ram: Yaa buddy...great work
Nikhil: That's a surprise, Ram Kapoor and taking loss so well...
Ram looked at Priya who was engrossed in a discussion with Col Singh : I have won something very precious Nik...this loss is nothing in front of it ...
Nikhil: Won, won what?
Ram: Err fitness...I have won my fitness back..hopefully i ll join in a couple of days...
Major Sengupta arrived at the scene
Major Sengupta: Kapoor, Batra...as you both are aware that you have been chosen for a special mission along with a few others. Let me tell you this would be no ordinary mission, its a high profile mission and it carries a great risk to your lives...Whatever happens in the course of the operation happens but i want you guys to reach the epitome of fitness...new techniques, use of new weapons will be taught and i want you ll absolutely ready when the mission begins...Within a couple of days we start of with a week long training session...it should be enough to equip you with all the necessary skills required to make this mission successful..One more thing the details should not be leaked out to any one...I hope i am clear on that. Me and Col Singh will have a full team meeting tomorrow...
Ram: Sir...may i request for something...
Major Sengupta: Go ahead Kapoor...
Ram: Can i get the rest of the day off?
Major Sengupta: Reason?
Ram: Personal Sir...
Major Sengupta: Granted Kapoor...but no personal things tomorrow..
Ram nodded: Thank u sir
Ram and Nikhil turned to leave...
Major Sengupta: Kapoor...need a minute with you...
Ram: Yes sir...
Major Sengupta: Distraction is nice...if i was you i would not waste time and marry her
Ram was dumbfounded...: Sir, i dont know what you are ...
Major Sengupta: Cut it Kapoor...lying dsnt suit you
Ram looked down sheepishly...
Major Sengupta: I have not greyed my hair in the sun lad...enjoy your day...
Ram walked out of the drill but he could not find Priya anywhere...where could she have gone, she was just here..He was looking all around when he saw Mahesh entering the mess...Priya must be with him he thought and walked off towards the mess..
Priya stood in the mess corridor along with Mahesh...her eyes glanced at the watch on her wrist...The drill should be over and Ram should be here by now..she looked at the door and at the same time Ram entered the mess...The faded baggy green uniform fitted perfectly onto Ram showing off his muscles...his body glistening with sweat looked all the more appealing...Priya had her eyes transfixed on Ram as he walked in towards her...she so much wanted to get close to him right now...such was his charm that Priya already felt weak in her knees...
Ram walked right past Priya...when Priya was within earshot he whispered: Not now Priya, we are in public...Priya kept looking at Ram with mouth wide open...did he just hear what was going on her mind??
Mahesh: Priya...should we finish off the interviews today?
Priya gave no reply to Mahesh
Mahesh: Priya...?
Priya: Sorry..i did not hear you...what did you say?
Mahesh: Should we finish off the interviews today? The channel is asking for the tapes for editing...
Priya: Yaa, we should do it by today...
Mahesh: I am hungry...should we eat and then start off...
Priya: Yaa sure...
Priya and Mahesh both picked up their breakfast plates and sat down... Priya sat besides Mahesh and there was a vacant seat left of her...
Ram took his breakfast and looked around ...perfect he thought...he needed to tell Priya about his day off today and make the most of it...His mind was already buzzing with ideas about how to make most of his day..very rarely did Major Sengupta accede to such requests...
Hi Priya...mind if i sit here? Nikhil pointed to the seat next to Priya...
Priya looked dissapointed but she knew she could not refuse Nikhil...Yaa sure...
Ram halted in his tracks...damn Nik he thought but then Nik had no idea about him and Priya...he made a mental note to speak to Nik about it..
Ram sat down next to Nikhil...
Nikhil: Priya you are looking beautiful today...i mean you always look good but today you are looking differently beautiful...like something has changed overnight...
Ram : Yes Priya...Nikhil is so right...has something changed overnight ?
Priya looked at Ram, she could see the glint of mischievousness in his eyes... Priya tried to keep as straight a face as possible ...Nothing Nikhil...its just...
Ram: Nik, you shouldn't be asking ladies their night secrets yaar...where have your manners gone? Ram was enjoying himself...
Priya looked wide eyed at Ram...Actually Nikhil...something did happen last night...

Priya looked at Ram...his was looking at her with bated breath...getting a taste of his own medicine...
Priya: Actually i have finally adapted to the altitude levels over here and for the first time could sleep properly, hence the freshness...
Ram grinned...the girl sure was smart...
Priya: Guys on a serious note i need to finish those interviews today...If i can get some of your free time it would be great...
I am free today...i have the day off.. declared Ram...
Nikhil: Day Off? You rarely take the day off and what are you planning to do?
Ram: Nothing Nik just preparing for my first interview...
Nikhil laughed...All the best Priya...he is all set...its sure gonna be a rocking one...I need to go got to report to duty...See you ll and have a wonderful interview Ram...Bye
Nikhil left and Ram immediately shifted in his seat...Priya...i have the day off and i want to ...Priya pointed with her eyes towards Mahesh and Ram immediately realized that Mahesh was still there...and i want to finish off the interview as soon as possible...
Mahesh: You have suddenly shifted gears Major...by the way congrats on your promotion...Lets go Priya...
Ram: Go...go where...?
Mahesh: As you want the interview done on war footing...we too need to set things up on war footing...so excuse us...
Priya winked at Ram and left with Mahesh...
Ram mocked Mahesh: Need to set things up on war footing...my foot ...
Great imitation major...thinking of shifting careers are we?
Ram: What yaar Adi...i have managed to get a day off and Madam is busy...
Aditya: Day off haan?? Major you are graduating quite fast...
Rajiv entered the mess just then. He nodded at Aditya and gave a smile to Ram...Ram returned half a smile...
Aditya: What happened Ram?
Ram: I dont't know Adi, you know after the revelations yesterday..i still cannot clear my heart about Rajiv. Maybe i have misjudged him but still i cannot give him a clean chit yet...there is something that holds me back...
Aditya: I would only suggest you let time takes its own course...I am sure both your situations are awkward, now that Priya being involved and she being related to Rajiv...its a bit tricky but i am sure things will smoothen themselves...you don't need to worry...
Ram: Hope so...
Aditya: I am off Major...see you later...i need to check on my patients...
Ram: I ll move as well, see you later...
Mahesh was setting up the camera angles...when Ram walked in...he tried to search for Priya, he found her speaking to the rest of her crew...
Ram: Priya..i need to speak with you...
Priya: Yaa Ram...
Ram: Priya, i have managed to get the day off, can we go somewhere in the evening?
Priya: Are you asking me out for a date Major?
Ram: Yeah sort off...
Priya: Hmn...will see...and Priya walked off...

Mahesh: Priya we are ready...if the Major is ready we can shoot right away...
A crew member came to Ram and started explaining the basics of the shoot. Ram should forget that he is on camera..and talk as if talking to a friend...
Ram: That's it? This is damn easy...no wonder everyone wants to become a flim star, just talk like you are talking to a friend...

Priya did a few questions with Mr. Singh and then it was Ram's turn...
Priya: Major Ram Kapoor, tell us about your life in the army...
Ram: It has been good so far and since yesterday it has been too good...Priya tried to warn Ram through her eyes...
Raman: Yes, Major Ram we heard that you were promoted to Major yesterday, congratulations...
Raman: And how do you like this place...
Ram looked at Priya and kept looking at her...
Priya whispered: Ram...the camera is rolling...speak...
Ram: Err...beautiful...
Raman: Well Major I am sure it is...
Priya quickly sprung into action and asked more questions to Col Singh only offering a few questions to Ram..The interview ended...
Mahesh: Great work Sir...thank you Major...Priya, i ll send the tapes for editing...
Priya smiled. The moment she turned towards Ram the smile vanished...Ram walked up to her...So how did i fare?
Priya: Fare? That was a disaster Ram, thank god for Col Singh otherwise it would have been a ...Priya stopped...Ram looked at her with a sad face, Priya softened...Its ok Ram..it was your first time, it happens...where are you taking me ?
That sentence brought cheer on Ram's face...So we are going...
Priya: Sure, how can i miss the two in one opportunity...
Ram: Two in one?
Priya: Yeah...the beautiful locale and the handsome Major...deadly combination...
Ram: I ll pick you up at 1600 hrs...

At sharp 4, Ram picked up Priya and they drove off...
Priya: Where are we going?

Ram reached the same village they had come earlier to.
Priya: Planning to get lost again?
Ram: I wish...
Priya: Raaam...
Ram: Priya...i want to visit that temple today...
Priya: Temple ? But you do not believe in God?
Ram: Ya i dont, but i believe in you and you wanted to visit it...
Ram and Priya walked off in the direction of the temple, this time taking the proper route...
Ram: Priya, tell me honestly...you were not afraid that day?
Priya: No Ram..
Ram: Strange...
Priya: What's strange in that?
Ram: You were lost Priya, i was a complete stranger to you...
Priya: True Ram, but the moment i saw you something connected somewhere, that very moment attached me to you...You werent a stranger anymore...
Ram looked at Priya in awe...she had come into his life and set everything straight...
Ram: You know Priya after my mother's affair came into the picture i had given up on love. Infact i thought army to be the safest option where there would be no interactions no socialising...and to some extent it did help me...but look at me..the thing that i ran away from has become my purpose to live...
Priya: Love makes the strangest of things happen Ram...and no matter how random things may appear..she pointed upwards..there is always a plan...
Ram bowed slightly...Hats off Madam...
They reached the temple...
Priya was praying while Ram was just looking around...The priest was setting up some things in a corner...
Ram walked up to get a closer look ...
Priest: So where are the others?
Ram: Others? Who Others?
Priest: Your friend's who have to get married...
Ram: There is some mistake...i am not related to anyone who...Ram was suddenly struck by an idea...
Priya ...he called out...
Priya turned around...Ram forwarded his hand towards her...Priya put her hand in his but had a questioning look on her face...
Ram: Lets get married Priya...
Priya withdrew her hand back forcefully...Ma Maa Marriage she stammered...
