yeah, symbols, diacritics, etc.

trying to fool IF but so far only the superscript and subscript worked.

problem is, IF has a set of forum codes (you could see what they are when you click on the "forum codes" hyperlink when editing a post for instance) that allow you to format a post but they are limited in scope and unwieldy.

How did you get the subscript and superscript to work. I tried the BBCODE for strike through, but it does not seem to work on IF.

Is there a way to embed HTML in the BBCODE like you can embed Flash?

for superscript, put your expression between SUP and /SUP tags; make sure these have square brackets surrounding them.

for subscript, put your expression between SUB and /SUB tags; make sure these have square brackets surrounding them.

basically, if you do a "view page source" on the bbcodes popup, you would notice that all IF is doing is converting the square brackets to angle brackets in order to render html. but then it is doing it for only those that are shown in the list. i am guessing, they hard-coded only a few tags, deliberately, so users don't get smart with the system.
