Namaste deviyon aur sajjano [ Greetings, ladies and gentlemen]

Ab shaam ka karyakram aage bhadate hai [ Let us proceed with the evening's session]

Parichay dharavahik mein paanch varshon ka uchal aane wala hai. Kafi logon ki umeedein toot gayee, kafi logon ke sapne toot gaye aur kafi log dukhi bhi ho gaye hai. Magar har buri baat mein kuch achai chupi hoti hai..

So new words

Dharavahik = serial

Counting

Ek        One [ Ded, = 1 and a half]

Do       Two [ Dhai =   2 and a half]

Teen    Three [ sade teen = 3 and a half]

Char     Four [ it goes like this so on, sade char, sade panch]

Panch  Five

Che      Six

Saat      Seven

Aath       Eight

Nau        Nine

Dus         Ten

Sau          Hundred

Hazar       Thousand

Now that you know the counting, you are all set for bargaining Tongue

Bhaiyaji, yeh batuye [purse] ke do sau [two hundred] to jyada hai.
Main to sirf 150 [ ded= same as 1 and a half = ded sau] de sakti hoon [ I can only give 150]
Dena hai to do !!!!

Umeedein=   Hope

Sapne       =    Dreams

Aasha        =    Hope

Chah          =    Wish

Khushi       =    Happiness/Happy

Muskan      =    Smile

Anason       =    Tears

Hansna       =    Laugh

Magar har buri baat mein kuch achai chupi hoti hai..= As they say, whatever happens, happens for the good. Behind every bad thing, there is something good, every cloud has a silver lining.

Proverbs

Main     I

Mujhe   I

Mera     Mine

Tu           You

Tum       You

Tumhara     Your

Tumhe  You

Aap        You

[ In English, You is always You, whether you refer to an elder person or a younger person, but in Hindi, you address Tu to someone younger than you, Tum to someone who is your age but is more formal compared to Tu and Aap is for someone who is elder than you, it is a more formal way of addressing someone, addressing someone with respect ]

Hum      We

Hume    We

Tum sab               You all

Tum sab log        You all

More in the next session

Rani avem Bhavi, aapki itni shudh hindi padhkar ati prasannta hui, hamare is praytna ka ek fayda to hua, hum sab purn wakya hindi mein bolne/likhne ki koshish kar rahe hai..bahut hi achi baat hai

[Rani and Bhavi, it was a pleasure reading your replies which were in pure hindi. There is atleast one benefit of our efforts of teaching hindi, that atleast we are all trying to fram complete sentences in hindi..which is a very good thing.

It is equally difficult for me to write sentences in just one language..that is the new generation can't frame sentences in one single language !!!Cry

Is forum ke neeyam mujhe jawab dene ki aagya nahi de rahe hai. Isliye main doosri baatein karongi = ek lekhika jo hoon Big smile

New words

Neeyam = Rules

Jawab=  Answer

Prashna [ Sawal] = Question

Baatein = Talk/Chit Chat

Lekhak = Writer

Lekhika= Female Writer

Shikshak=  Teacher

Vidyarthi = Students

Shishya= Students

Adhyapak = Male Teacher

Adhyapika = Female Teacher

Pradhyapak= Principal ?

Prashansa = Praise

Garv= Pride

Apman= disrespect/humiliate

Maan= respect

Prasanna hona/ khushi = to be happy

Puruskar= Prize

Kamyab= Successful

Nakamayab= Unsucessful/Failure

Ek shikshak ko sabse jyada khushi tab hoti hai jab uske guru uski prashansa karte hai aur ek guru tab sabse jyada prasan hota hai jab uska shishya usse aage nikal jaye.
Bachpan se maine yahi chaha tha, ki agar kabhi main ek kamyab insaan bano to puruskar mujhe apne guru ke samne mile.

I know I am not following the pattern, just trying to do it in a different mannerBig smile.
