To the Crews:
Some time during 19th century, there was a man who threw a shoe at another man at a play in Calcutta. The man who was hurled the show was playing the villain in a play. The man who threw the shoe was so moved by the woman's plight and hated the villain so much that in a fit of rage he threw the shoe at the actor. The actor took it as his best compliment and rejoiced it by keeping the shoe on head. The man who threw the shoe was a great social reformer Iswarchandra Vidyasagar and the man who had the shoe thrown at him was Girish Ghosh an eminent stage actor of Bengal.

Fictions are made up stories, but a fiction becomes close to the heart when the characters we read or watch are someone we could relate to. We laugh with tem, cry with them, feel good when they are happy, get mad when something untoward happens to them. They become part of our daily lives, so much so we even imagine living these characters day in and day out. Sure enough, this doesn't justify verbal abuse of any kind, however on the hind sight, the negativity thrown at, is a sign of tremendous success for all the crews involved in the process. Fact that it irks and impacts our emotion so vehemently, only suggests that you guys are doing the job bloody good.

To the Audience:
One of the most important elements in a fiction is characterization; making the characters seem vivid, real, alive. When a writer builds a character, he/she envisions certain personality traits, which change and grow as story unfolds. No one is perfect, and that goes for the characters in the stories. The hero can have a heart of gold, eyes as blue as the sky, hair as black as sin, and a smile that can make the sun look like it is low on voltage. But come on now, couldn't he have some weakness, some part of him that is less than perfect? The same holds true for your villain and villainess. Sure they are awful people, and no doubt their souls are cold and dark, but isn't there even one beam of good light in there? Of course there could be. Life is not fair. We wish it were, but unfortunately much of our dismay it's not. Life is not just about having romance with a rich, dashing young Harvard Graduate, it has it's share of unwanted negativity. Betray, jealousy, dejection, resentment, distrust, depression are some of the few. It's almost impossible to understand a betrayed woman's predicament, her vulnerability unless one experiences the infidelity. Perhaps, we need to hear the story from someone who may have gone through the process. Now that being said, a writer has a story in his imagination, which needs to be divulged and the least we could do as an audience to allow the authors portray their creations, the way they have envisaged.

Abusing the supporting cast & crew just because the leading man was not in the picture, just shows the class of certain audience, and it's to the benefit of others such posts should be quarantined and must be treated as spam instead of wasting precious time to reply. A small request to the audience, who loves to use their tongue in a caustic way, there are much larger issues in the world, probably needs scathing verbal abuse more than these crews who are putting in such hard work to relieve our stress by entertaining us. Please spare them and let's not erode the creative freedom.

good one sush.

a bit of temperance is all we need from both sides. The cast and crew must hold their tongues and the fans must act with restraint.

what bothers me is the blatant accusation that fans are going overboard and should always be the one to behave. Not once in the rhetoric has anyone bothered to tell the cast and crew that they need to practice restraint too as they are public faces to a business.

another thing that bothers me is this - why do we care? if someone is rude or downright obsessive on twitter, why do the others care? why do we feel the need to rally support for the cast and crew, as if they are doing us a big huge favor. If we all learned to ignore flak and nonsense, the perpetrators would feel less significant

Finally, this is a connected world we live in. the core audience for this show is significantly younger than the typical crowd that watches other highly rated TV shows. Instant and cutting reactions are expected from this connected and highly active crowd. A fact both India Forums and Social Media presence of Cast/Crew seems to forget and respect.

I am not sure, if I have read all cast & crews interaction with viewers, but the only one I am  aware of is Mr Hegde's famous tweat.  Though most of the time, I appreciate his sense of humor, but some of his comments are extremely unprofessional and juvenile to say the least.  The guy neither has any clue on customer dealings, nor does he have idea about other industry and the kind of work effort most of us put in to earn the bread.  His constant whining reminds me of a three grader.     Nonetheless, in all fairness to other crews, hammering on them continuously; hate mails, threats etc are not the way to show that our thought process is impacted.  Though we reserve all right to criticize, but we must let others do their work and give the credit when it's due.
