It was one of the biggest event of my life. I was with him at every moment, except for when I needed information from his wife.

But for her it was even worse. We were more worried for her then anything else.

We decided to come home ASAP, soon after they pronounced him.

Anna, how are you/

We came back last night finally. My friend is doing better, she is with her daughter and her family. We all plan to visit her later today as promised.

Shilpa I am fine.

Thanks Anna, it really did help to read everyone's comments and prayers.

This experience has taught me that life is too precious to waste on petty things and things we have no control over.

Shilpa we do not know how precious life is. Wish we all knew the meaning of unconditional love.

Shilpa, this is a difficult time for you and your friends.  As you said we don't have control over every thing that goes on in this world.  We have no answers for some of the things either.  Life is precious and live it to the full.  It is good you are there for your friend to help her move on and she also has her family.  In the end, people who remain behind need to be there for each other and go on as best as they can.  We can not take life for granted.  

True Anna, in all professional, this was the first time I had to try to help someone who I cared for, so it made things more clearer in my mind.

I deal with life and death situation everyday, but never this close to home.
