Anandi knows that she likes Shiv. She doesn't want to accept the fact. She has disguised herself in a false exterior shell and wants to believe that she doesn't need a man in her life as she has faced enough torture. Deep down she knows that Shiv is the man who would stand by her like a rock. They are about to get engaged and Shiv is not convinced about Anandi's decision. He at any cost doesn't want her to have any trouble. He tells her that if there's anything that is bothering her he would be there for her as her happiness is more important for him than anything else. He tells her 'aapko zara bhi lage ki main kuch galat kar raha hoon toh aap mujhe zaroor bataiye, aapki khushi se zyada important kuch bhi nahi hai' Anandi says 'meri khushi meri maa ki ichha poori karne me hi hai, aur main aapko shikayat ka mouka nahi doongi'. Shiv is unhappy that Anandi doesn't express herself the way he wants her to. He tells her 'Anandi mujhe behad khushi hoti agar aap mujhse shadi ke liye isiliye raazi hoti kyonki aap yeh chahti hai, apni marzi se.."Anandi says 'collector sahab, main aapki bahut izzat karti hoon, aur aapne jo mere liye kiya, uski kimat to main chahkar bhi kabhi chukka nahi sakti.' Shiv says ' Anandi maine aap pe koi ehsaan nahi kiya, main aapse shaadi karna chahta hoon genuinely'. Anandi doesn't have a reply for that.
There are lot of arrangements and tayaariyan happening in the haweli for Anandis engagement. Shiv is happy but not really. He is not sure whether he should be happy that he is getting married to his lady love or he should be sad because she doesn't love him. Shiv decides to write to her.

Anandi gets this letter through a school girl. Anandi reads and re reads the letter. She is in tears. All the while she was worried that she is being forced into marriage. Shiv picks up 'Hello, Anandi, mera letter mila, I hope aapko maine hurt nahi kiya?' Anandi says "nahi collector sahab, aapki chitthi padhkar mujhe aisa laga ki kya main aapke pyar ke kaabil bhi hoon" Shiv says 'Nahi Anandi ji, jo insan dusron ke liye itna kuch karta ho, itna kuch sehta ho, woh har ek ke pyar ka haqdaar hai..yeh baat apne dimag se hata dijiye aur nishchint rahiye. Jaise ki maine kaha main har pal aapke saath hoon..okay?' Anandi says 'collector sahab, thank you' Shiv replies 'Aur ek request hai aapse..use please na na kahiye" Anandi says 'jee kahiye' 'Mera naam shiv hai, aur please mujhe shiv kehkar bulayiye' Anandi says 'jee SH..I..V' He says 'thanks.. I feel better' Anandi says 'aur mera naam Anandi hai, sirf Anandi. Anandiji nahi' Shiv says 'Done, Anandi'
Its the engagement time now and Anandi is dressed in a beautiful saree getting ready for the event. Her friends Phooli and Gulli are with her. Shiv comes with his entire family. The singh family welcomes them with all respect and love. Shiv is dressed up in a sherwani, his eyes searching for his princess. Daadi sa observes this and says 'Shiv beta, Anandi tayyar ho rahi hai..aa jayegi sab sagai ki rasm ke liye bulalenge to" Shiv is embarrassed. Anandi comes down wearing light pink saree. Shiv just cant stop looking at her princess. She looked like a goddess to him. His only love, his Anandi.❤️ ❤️He cant take his eyes off her. Anandi comes to the hall and Shiv still cant take his eyes off her. Till Phooli says 'kya dekhrahe ho sirji, yeh Anandi hi hai" Shiv is once again embarrassed and the rings are brought. Anandi looks at him with a shy smile and slides down the ring on to his finger. Shiv takes the ring and slides down her slender finger. They are engaged. 👍🏼👏
