again is thankful to Shiv that he came to her rescue. And Shiv says "mere hote
hue aapko koi takleef nahi hogi" (I'll always be there for you) . They both
wait in vain for the rain to stop. Shiv calls Dadisa and assures her that
Anandi is safe with him. The rain stops by evening and Shiv(totally drenched
and then dried due to chill wind) drops Anandi to her haweli and leaves for his
home. And the next day Anandi visits the collector office to check on some
papers regarding the grant issued for the development of her school. She
notices that the collector hasn't yet reached the office. She calls Bheem Singh
and comes to know that he is out of town and has no clue as why the collector
hasn't come to the office. Anandi though reluctant calls him and she is a bit
worried when he doesn't pick her call. She decides to visit his home. She goes
to his house and the door is open. She goes inside to see that Shiv is lying on
the bed. She goes close by and puts her hand on his forehead and she comes to
know that he is running high fever. (Arre inhe to bahut tez bukhar hai..doctor
Lal Singh ko call karti hoon) she picks
up her phone and calls Laal Singh. "Laal Singh collector sahib ko bahut tez
bukhar hai...kya tum unke ghar aa sakte ho..jaldi se" "Abhi pahunchta hoon
Anandi" says Laal Singh. Shiv could barely open his eyes. Laal Singh enters and
examines Shiv. He tells Anandi "barish
me bheegne se bukhar hai..fikr karne ki zaroorat nahi hai" Anandi takes a deep
breadth and thanks God. Laal Singh continues "tum inke maathe pe geela kapda
lagate rehna..main kuch dawaiyan leke aata hoon". Anandi nods her head. Anandi
hurriedly goes inside and gets a bowl of lukewarm water and a towel. She wets the cloth and puts it on Shiv's
forehead. Shiv slowly opens his eyes and looks at Anandi with a lot of
gratitude and love. Anandi is a bit embarrassed at the situation they are in. Laal Singh comes with the medicines and
tells Anandi to put Shiv on medication immediately. Anandi hurriedly goes in
and gets a spoon and gives medicine to Shiv. Anandi tells Laal Singh that Shiv
might not have eaten anything and tells him what happened the previous day. Laal
Singh tells Anandi "kuch halka sa kha lena chahiye nahi to kamzori bad jayegi"
Anandi wonders what to do now. She tells Laal Singh to wait there for sometime
and she would quickly go home and get something for Shiv. Laal Singh agrees and
Anandi rushes back home. Daadi sa asks "kahan doudi ja rahi hai chhori?" Anandi
narrates what happened and tells Daadi
sa "soch ti hoon thodi si khichdi banake le jaaun" Daadi Sa is all smiles and
tells her to go ahead. Anandi makes khichdi and takes it tp Shiv. Shiv is
feeling slightly better after taking the medicine. Laal Singh he has to rush to
the hospital and leaves. Now its Anandi and Shiv in the room. Shiv looks at her fondly and Anandi gives a
stare and immediately looks away. She gets some khichdi in the plate and tells
Shiv that he has to eat now. Shiv says he is not at all hungry. Anandi says
"aisey kaise chalega...khana to aapko khana hi padega..tab hi jaldi theek ho
payenge" she literally takes a spoon and feeds him. Shiv gives that stare once
gain as Anandi feeds him. She tells him "aaj office aane ki zaroorat nahi
hai..saare meetings cancel kar dijiye aur sham tak aaram kijiye" Main phir
aapse milungi" shiv is speechless and just looks at her. He is thanking his
stars for the fever. As Anandi leaves Shiv just takes the blanket and gets lost
in her thoughts.
Scene 2:
Shiv teaches Anandi to drive
Well..Anandi comes back home thinking about Shiv and in the
evening she calls him to check on his fever. Shiv is glad and smiling looking
at Anandi s name flashing on his mobile screen. He picks up the call "Hi
Anandi". Anandi says "Collector saab, ab tabiyat kaisi hai aapki?" Shiv says
"kaafi better feel kar raha hun...Anandiji, thank you for everything. Agar aap
nahi hoti to..." Anandi just smiles and says "arrey thank you kis baat
ki...maine wo wohi kiya jo mujhe sahi lagaNext morning..Anandi is up early so that she meets Shiv
first and then visit her school. She calls the driver and Bhairon says that
"Driver ki to tabiyat kharab hai
beta..woh 2-3 din tak nahi aayega..tumhe kahin jaldi jaana hai?" Anandi says
"haan baapusa, mujhe collector sahib ke office jaana hai aur uske baad school.
Paidal jaaungi to der ho jayegi" Bhairon says "mujhe kuch kaam se bahar jaana
hai, main tujhe collector sahib ki office tak chhod dunga" Anandi says 'thheek
hai' and Bhairon drops her to collector's office. Anandi first checks on his
health and then they will be looking at the new chart of the development of the
school. She then tells him that she is in a hurry and has to go to school. Shiv
offers to drop her and she would be wondering whether to go with him. Before
she could say anything he picks up his jeep keys and says "chaliye". She
follows him and on the way she tells him that "main har baar aapko taqleef deti
hoon..aapko apna kaam chhodke mujhe drop karna padta hai" ..for that Shiv
smiles and says "toh aap gaadi chalana kyon nahi seekhti?" Anandi wonders and
says" yeh baat to mere dimag me bilkul nahi aayi..lekin mujhe jeep chalana
sikhayega koun?" Shiv is waiting for her to say that, but controls himself and
says "yeh baat to sahi kahi aapne.. hmmm" . Anandi looks at him and smiles
shyly as if she knows that Shiv is teasing her. They both look at each other,
smile and look away. Both say it together..Shiv saying "agar aap chahe to main
aapko gaadi chalana sikha sakta hoon" and Anandi saying "kya aap mujhe gaadi
chalana sikhayenge?" They both start
laughing and then Shiv says "theek hai to kal subah jogging ground pr milte hai"
Anandi nods her head.
The next day Shiv and Anandi meet. After a quick exchange of
good mornings shiv starts explaining her the techniques of driving ..what is
clutch, what is break and accelerator etc. Anandi listens to him like an
obedient student and then Anandi is on the driving seat. Shiv sitting next to
her. While explain he happens to brush her hands many a times. They come very
close to each other and then finally shiv shouts "break lagayiye please..aur
itna fast nahi..aaaj to pehla din hai".
Anandi hurriedly puts the break ! Then shiv asks her "kya aap mujhe mere
ghar drop karengi?" Anandi just smiles and says "abhi nahi collector sahab..thode
aur din aur main apni gaadi khud chalakar aaungi" They both smile and get on the jeep. :)

Anandi is a pro in driving now and the whole village
especially young girls look up to her for inspiration. Anandi cant thank Shiv
enough for this. She realizes that all men are not alike. The awkwardness that she had with Shiv seems to have reduced
to a large extent. They are comfortable with each other. She knows that he is
not like any other man that she has met in her life. She feels a sense of
security when he is around. She knows that he is someone she can burst out on. She
knows that she can be totally herself with him. She can open up with all her
ideas and all her thoughts about the development of her village and she knows
that they together as a team can do wonders to their little village. The people
of Jaitsar also realise that they are a blessing to their village and adore
them for that. At the same time, Anandi feels no pressure from her family to
get married. Her family has realised that the time will heal her wounds and she
would be out of it soon and that only Shiv can do it for her. So they have left
her alone to handle her life the way she wants.
Anandi knows that her family is her biggest support and they will be
ready any time she wants. She leads
quite a hectic schedule with so much to be done for Jaitsar and her
school.
Its the annual day of Anandi's school and all the children
prepare for the event. Anandi, Gulli are trying their level best to put up a
good show. They call for a meeting to discuss who would be the chief guest for
the event. All the girls in unison want to call Shiv and no one else as he is very
much responsible for the development of their school. Anandi has no go but to
accept it. Now she goes to the collector's office and says "sorry, maine aapko
is waqt pe disturb kiya" ..shiv says "jee bilkul nahi..kahiye..kuch kaam tha?"
Anandi "Ji woh kya hai na, humari school ka shanivaar ko annual day hai, aur
saari ladkiya chahti hai ki aap chief guest ho..kaafi tayyari kar rahi hai uske
liye" . Shiv looks at her and says"wow!
Thats great...Kya sirf girls hi
chahti hain ki main aaun? Principal
nahi?" Anandi is slightly embarrassed and blushes a bit and says "ji nahi..hum
sab chahte hai ki aap humare chief guest bane" Shiv is thrilled hearing this
and says "tab to main zaroor aana chahunga" . Anandi says "Jee thank you..aur
mujhe poora vishwas hai ki aap ladkiyon ki mehnat se kaafi khush honge" Shiv
replies "ofcourse! Aapki students jo hai!"
Anandi gives a shy smile and says "bye".
Shiv reaches the school and greets everyone. Anandi is
leading the whole lot of girls. As shiv comes some of the girls come and do the
traditional welcome. Anandi is just making sure that everything falls in place.
Anandi calls Shiv on the stage. She welcomes all the people and parents to the
event and also says that "Aaj hamare liye yeh garv ki baat hai ki hamare saath
hum sabke pyare collector sahib moujud hain jinhone humare Jaitsar ke liye itna
kuch kiya aur hamen aur sapne dekhna sikhaya..main chahti hoon ki woh kuch
shabd kahen" Shiv was listening to Anandi with all attention and was feeling
good that she thinks good of him. Shiv gets up and comes on to the podium and
says 'Main aap logon se zyada time nahi lunga, jis gaon me Anandi jaisi
sarpanch ho aur aap logon ka saath toh mere jaise collector ka kaam kaafi asaan
ho jaata hai. Aapne mujhe yahan bulaya uske liye bahut dhanyavaad aur I wish
the girls all the best". Shiv comes and sits next to Anandi. Anandi whispers 'aapne
to bilkul baat nahi ki' Shiv goes close to her and says 'arrey mujhe bhashan
dena pasand nahi hai..agar main apna kaam theek karunga to my work will speak for
itself!' Anandi seems impressed and says 'achha!!' and they both smile looking
into each others eyes. The girls put up a great show and Shiv tells Anandi 'yeh
dance aapne sikhaya in bachchiyon ko' Anandi says 'ji haan' Shiv 'mujhe to
bilkul yakeen nahi hota...aap aur itna achha dance' Anandi knows that he is teasing
her ,,she hits him on the shoulder fondly. They are done for the day and Shiv
tells Anandi 'ab ghar jake aaram keejiye, bahut thak gayi hongi' Anandi just
nods her head and says 'good night'. They seem to be extremely happy in each
others company. Shiv doesn't want rush her into anything . Anandi feels that
she shouldn't have been so rude to him after the marriage proposal. She wants to apologize for that and she somehow
is not able to. She decides to do that the next day. She is in her room lying
on the bed..and her mobile beeps. Its a message from Shiv 'you put up an
excellent show. I m so proud of you.' Anandi replies 'Thank you and that
encourages me to do for more my girls and their future. Good night'. Anandi is
staring at the message with a shy smile on her face. Shiv is staring at his
phone dreaming of the days that are going to comeby!!
