Navi-Dimple as Agam-Nimrit Continued... (My Story, PART 4)
We start off from the point where Agam walks to his room, all dressed up in the suit that Nimrit got for him, while Nimrit is eagerly waiting for Agam, sitting nicely on the flower-laden bed. Agam opens the door...
With a big smile on his face, dashing looks and a tiny bit of nervousness, he looks in. An overwhelming smell of fresh red roses and white lilies that perfectly complement one another makes him feel like he's in a beautiful haven of divine flowers, he closes his eyes for a second to take a deep breath and let the wonderful fragrances take over him, just as he slowly opens his eyes, he sees all the candles that make the room even more special, even more romantic and even more divine. He realizes that this is what Tej had been upto and thanks Bandook in his mind for such a lovely surprise. His eyes now just want to see his Nimrit ji and nothing else. He spots her sitting perfectly on the bed, as a newly wedded bride. He feels happy and shy at the same time, not knowing himself why he is turning into such an emotional human being. He feels the room is getting hotter and switches on the fan.
Agam walks towards the bed and sits close to Nimrit. (A slow instrumental version of 'Pehli baar mohabbat ki hai' plays in the background) Just then the fan gains full speed and rose petals start to fall on both Nimrit and Agam. They are both pleasantly surprised and Nimrit thoroughly enjoys the 'rose shower' while staring at Agam. Agam too looks deep into her eyes, sensing her happiness. He wants to say so many things to her, but the words just don't seem to be coming out from his mouth. He keeps staring at her with love-stricken eyes and Nimrit shies off.
Agam: (Finally manages to clear his throat and says softly) Nimrit ji, aap itni khoobsurat lag rahi hai, itni khoobsurat lag rahi hain, ki main kuch bol hi nahi pa raha hu.
Nimrit: (Smiles, but looks at the door that is wide open and says softly) Agam ji (and looks towards the door).
Agam: Kya? (Turns around to see the door wide open and says) Oh!
Agam shuts the room door and goes back to his beloved wife.
Agam: Ha to main kya keh raha tha?
Nimrit: Aap meri tareef karne ke liye shabd dhoond rahe the (gives a cheeky smile to Agam).
Agam: Hmm, woh shabd dhoondte dhoondte kahin puri raat hi na nikal jaye... Waise bhi, aapki khoobsoorati ko shabdo main bayan karne ki liye koi khoobsurat shabd aaj tak bane hi nahi, toh phir main kya bolu?
Both smile together and Nimrit says he looks really handsome in the suit too.
Agam: (Bends towards Nimrit's forehead and gently kisses her, notices that her sindoor has almost faded away, and says) Lekin ek cheez ab bhi ahoori hai.
Nimrit: (Looks puzzled) Huh?
Agam gets up and walks towards the dresser and starts looking for something. Nimrit gets slightly worried as to what Agam may be looking for at this time of the night. She thought she had everything in its perfect place, including herself.
Nimrit: Agam ji, aap kya dhoond rahe hai?
Agam: (Just then holds the tiny 'pavtira sindoor' metallic pot in his hands and takes a pinch of the holy sindoor) Yeh Nimrit ji. Yaad hai aapki Maa ne kaha tha ki isse hamara rishta hamesha bana rahega, aur yeh hum dono ke pyaar ko aur mazboot karega. Isiliye main chahta hu ki us din ki tarah aaj bhi main apki mang isse bhar du!
Nimrit: (Teary eyed, but smiles happily) Ji!
Nimrit closes her eyes softly while Agam puts the pavitra sindoor on her head. She slowly opens her eyes and starts to bend down to touch his feet.
Agam: Are, Nimrit ji, yeh aap kya kar rahi hai? (Holds her with both his hands and brings her up).
Nimrit: Agam ji, ek patni apne pati ke paer...
Agam: Are, main yeh sab main nahi manta. Aap mere saath hai aur Vahe Guru ji ki kripa har pal aapke saath hai, toh phir yeh sab ki koi zaroorat nahi.
Nimrit: Vahe Guru ki kripa hum dono ke saath hai Agam ji (and they both hug each other).
As Agam and Nimrit hug each other and feel comfortable, happy and secure in one another's arms, Agam slowly pulls away, hold's Nimrit's face in his hands, and leans towards her to kiss her. She tries to stand still with her eyes slowly shutting down with shyness, but turns around at the last second. Agam's face is left hanging in the air. Nimrit's heart starts pounding, and she runs towards the window. Agam thinks Nimrit might just not be ready for all this yet, so slowly walks towards her, stands behind her, and puts both his arms around her and holds onto the window sill (so that Nimrit can't escape). He then moves closer to her ear and speaks very softly.
Agam: Nimrit ji, yeh sab kitna ajeeb lag raha hai na...?
Nimrit: Nahi Agam ji... (She slowly takes both his hands from the window sill and gently folds them around her waist, her heart still pounding, but now an overwhelming sense of love and security taking over her heart, mind and soul).
Agam then holds her and kisses her on her neck, with her sweet sweet perfume entering his nose. He slowly takes his out hands from the warm embrace and gently folds her hair to the side and then to the front. He then gently kisses her ears and and takes out her earrings one by one. She has her eyes closed, and tries to let go of her fear, tries to enjoy every fraction of the second that passes by, with her Agam ji so close to her. He takes out her necklace and as he puts it on a table nearby, she turns around, holds his face with both her hands, and leans towards him for a passionate kiss! When their lips touch one anothers', they both slowly close their eyes and start to get lost in the divine world of love and passion. As the significant seconds pass by, they both start to pull away from one another and Nimrit hugs him real tight. She feels really shy and awkward at the same time, but just wants to hold her Agam ji close to her heart. Agam smiles and caresses her hair and slowly unties the strings of her blouse. When she feels the strings are undone, she musters courage and slides of his suit jacket off his shoulders. Just as the jacket hits the floor, she starts to unbutton his shirt, slowly with her dreamy eyes catching a glimpse of Agam's face every now and then. Agam feels like he is losing his mind, he cannot believe that the sweet, simple, bholi bali Nimrit ji is undressing him. Once the pristine white shirt is off on the floor, Agam lifts Nimrit ji in his arms, while she holds on to him, and he walks towards the bed. They're both absolutely quiet. ('Pehli baar mohabbat ki hai' song plays in the background: thode bheege se thode nam hai hum, kal se soye voye bhi to kam hai hum, dil na kaisi harkat ki hai, pheli baar mohabbat ki hai...)
Agam gently puts Nimrit on the bed and both keep looking at one another as they come real close once again. He can her heart beat and she can feel every single breath he takes. They both realize that they're probably feeling the same restlessness, same love, same anxiety and same emotions. They can both feel their bodies touching the beautiful flower petals on the bed, and it almost feels like they're in the garden of Eden. Agam lovingly kisses her eyes (Same song continues to play: aakhen doobi doobi si surmayi madham, jheele pani pani hai bus tum aur hum, hmm baat badi hairat ki hai, pehli baar mohabbat ki hai) and both lie down in a passionate embrace and make love!
(The song goes back to the slow instrumental version of 'Pehli baar mohabbat ki hai') Agam holds Nimrit as they both lie on the bed, with Agam having one of his arms around Nimrit and with the other hand, gently caressing her hair and back. Nimrit seems really quiet, but happy.
Agam: Nimrit ji, aap theek to hai na?
Agam: Meri taraf dekh kar boliye...
Nimrit: (Lifts her head, looks at Agam who is looking at her with a lot of love and care in his eyes) Main theek hu Agam ji (Plants a sweet kiss on his cheeks before lying down again on his arm).
Agam: (Smiles and feels content) I love you Nimrit ji!
Nimrit: (Shell shocked to hear those magical words from Agam, keeps staring at him and then realizes she needs to say it back) I love you too Agam ji.
They both smile and realize how filmy they both just sounded and start laughing. Agam wants to say a lot of things to Nimrit, how she's managed to change him, how he's learnt to be responsible and how he's on the path to becoming a good son and a good husband now! But Nimrit starts talking and he feels that he can just listen to her all day long, and stare at her pretty face for as long as he lives. So he spares his own thoughts and gives all his attention to what Nimrit is saying.
Nimrit: Agam ji, aaj hum sahi maaine main ek hue hain, aaj hum dono ke beech ek pati-patni ka rishta kayam ho gaya hai. Aur main har pal is rishte ko nibhaoongi, aur main yeh bhi chahoongi ki mujhe agle saat janamo main aap hi mile aur hum dono milkar jaisi bhi zindagi ho, uska samna karein (She speaks with a small tone of sad emotion, but mostly with that of love, wisdom and surety).
Agam: (Tries to be cheeky as he doesn't want her Nimrit ji to become all emotional) Kya? Saat janam? Mujhe saat janamo tak aapko jhelna padega? Aur mujhe agar koi aur chahiye to? To phir main kya karu?
Nimrit: (With an instant frown on her face) Aap mujhe jhel rahe hain? Aapko koi aur chahiye? To phir main abhi chali jaati hu (Tries to move away from Agam).
Agam: (Holds her instantaneously and pulls her towards him) Are, main to mazak kar raha tha Nimrit ji. Agle saat janamo tak hi kyon? Main to chahunga ki aap aane wale har ek janam main mere saath ho, aur hum isi tarah khushi khushi apna jeevan bitaye.
They both hug each other as the stars shine bright in the sky outside, the moonlight starts to fade away and the last of the biggest candles melt away...
