RM lay still, cold and haunted. The ghost of his evil lay haunting the night; things had changed forever.
The moon shone, weakened almost as if its light had been drained by the never ending falling tears. The stars shone, crying sparkling above. The sky was crying with them tonight..for the first time the joy and light that breathed in the RM atmosphere had been destroyed by him.
Arnav's innocence had been played, his strength tested, his love challenged like he never even had a chance. "Arnav.." The scenario echoed in his head, that one word..his name. He begged at his sisters feet, praying she'd understand everything was for her..only her. But no one heard his cries, he was ousted from her presence and left to break in front of his parents shining reflection.
This is what he got for trusting, this is what he got for breaking his shell which he had spent his entire life building, this is what he got for falling in love. That shell had protected him and everything he had ever loved but all it took was one girl to show him otherwise.
His eyes stared at the reflection in the water and then directed the gaze at the stars. Her stars. Their stars. He looked up hoping for guidance, his eyes silently crying out for help and comfort from his mother. He needed strength, no matter how much he wanted to tell himself how together he was, he couldn't. His sister..his flesh and blood had left his heart to bleed.
Khushi walked in, her footsteps silent along with her tears and her shaking hands clasping the tray with her life. His gaze redirected on hearing her, he blinked away the tears, his eyes still swollen, he turned to see the beautiful figure that guided his way in life behind him. He saw the thing he couldn't bare, her tears, her pain. He could hear her heart break. The way their hearts beat as one they broke as one too.
Khushi shook in a dazed state, full of pain and anxiousness. She need his strength and he needed hers, right here, right now they needed each other more than ever. Khushi's hands shook fiercer almost begging for him to make everything okay. He watched her delicate, soothing hands shake and her clasp only tighten on the tray.
Arnav carefully removed the tray from her hands setting her hands at ease, her back turned to walk away and leave him. He grabbed her shaking, delicate hand and gently tugged as he placed the tray down. This time there was no forceful spin or angry glare, just one soft turn and hearts that cried together. Khushi looked up at him, "I love you..I trust you..I need you, I'm with you." his eyes spoke. He placed his loving hands on her shoulders , waited a few moments to make sure she knew he was with her and then pulled her close closing the space between them.
Her hand gripped his shoulder finally allowing her walls to fall down around them and allowing her pain and passion to break free from the tears. The tears flowed down her cheeks her lips quivering almost in relief. His hand combed her hair and back in comfort for not just her, but for him. His eyes burned with her pain and his own combined. She held him tighter, him being her only reason to even hold on. He held her tighter, wanting her to know that he won't ever leave her alone, that he was always there even if the world turned against her and he had already proved that. He turned against the whole family and stood by her when she needed him most. He looked up at the skies wondering why his beautiful sunshine had to be put through all of this but most importantly he knew he wasn't alone, they were standing together, no matter what. As best friends. As husband and wife.
He pulled away, caressing her cheek, wiping her flowing tears something he refused to take. His eyes heavy and weak from all of this but suddenly he found the strength to lift her into his arms where she felt safe, to hold her and carry her, to be her building block and support. He carefully scooped her up and laid her carefully into their bed, tucking her in, keeping her safe, standing as her protector. Before he could leave she tugged his hand and he fell beside her, she rubbed her cheek against his hand needing to feel his comfort. Neither of them knew what tomorrow would bring, the night was uncertain but they were holding each other together no matter what. Their hearts beat together, they cried together and bled together.
