i have to disagree and present a different and should i say practical view :
the whole thing is in india it is fairly common to get superiors like this one. not that i want it or like it or endorse it, it is just the way it is! i have no choice but to accept it becuase beggers cant be choosers ie we being at a lower heirarchial level cannot make our superiors change. most professors and especially common in surgical deparments have huge egos ... they love being feared and instill that fear in juniors. it is true. why i dont know. may be as a nation we have this trai of arrogance coming with power again i dont know i can only guess.

intelligence says to assess their nature and keep quite.
unfortunately they hold your future in their hands. have seen MS and MD students languishing for six years if they have taken a panga with their professor!

jagiya was stupid and his reactions were uncalled for.
i have never seen a junior doctor or even a post graduate student or even a lecturer suggesting medicine to a professor. they have the liberty to prescribe only in emergency wards and opd night duties ... that too they have to consult if itis smthing really serious. in rounds ... it is the seniors who over see each case admitted and their vitals and prescribe meds.

thats how it works in india ...vast majority senior doctors are arrogant! one has to accept that and behave. it is not the best of situations or systems but one cannot change the systems alreayd establishe din such a junior position. maybe when jagiya became a senior doctor in life he could have been civil to his juniors ( which i dont think he would have done by the way ). so no defense of what jagiya did.

UK system cannot be compared to india ... it is far too advanced and matured. even here in japan where i did not get a job in clinial side and i worked in research side. the atmoshere is just so cordial. any talks of reprimending occur behind closed doors. and i always ended up wishing i was born in japan ( kidding) when i saw how medical students were being treated so fairly and so nicely.

ur indeed lucky to be in UK.

edited to add ... i am nto trying to push u to believe anything just presenting a view based solely on my experience as a medical student in an average indian government medical college.

as for gauri she dsnt have much conscience to begin with ...
if she did would she have married jagat?

and your post made me wonder what message CVs are actually try to convey?

that child marriages dont work?
then they shud show gauri and jagat's working.

if they do show that ... then they r endorsing adultry!

if how ever they show jagiya reunited with anandi ( shucks!)
then they show child marriages work  in which case they have gone against thei rown show's purpose and premise!

i think they have landed themselves in quite a confusion.

Hi Earth1978, a unique nice id, tq u for ur time in elaborating the situation, I appreciate ur inputs.

I am sure IMA (Indian medical association) has clear guidelines  for the conduct and charcter of the doctors' in this day of hifi technology, wth evidence on video footage and audio recordings, I am sure ppl who r not crossing those lines can be brought to task. The junior doctors should be aware of their rights and responsibilities'. may I say zurm karney se jyada sehna galat h, I think its tym something diff is done for the overall benefit of all juniors and more importantly in the interest of our patients.

I am certain things were similar even in UK few decades ago, but ppl found a way out of the chaos.

For us with more than 65 yrs of independence, I think it truly tym for us/everyone to enjoy independence in the right sense, WE SHOULD BE WILLINGL TO ACCEPT AND EXPLORE ALL POSSIBILITES AND LEARN FROM SITUATIONS'..hope things improve by the active participation of all concerned voicing out loud against all injustice'to provide the highest standard of care to our patients fingers crossed'😊

i think they have landed themselves in quite a confusion.

In this day, age and game of commercialism, CVs have really landed themselves in a quandary as u rightly said,  We can really wish them good luck to bring out a proper message if they can'we may say CVs have already shown successful child marriges in way of lives of  Bhairon and Basant .

Until Anandi was shown as falling out the true love she had for Jagya when she said "I cant even dream of getting back to u Jagya" the thin chance of their reunion by way of second chance in life to Jagya was completely ruled out, but there is still a very very grim chance A might b shown going  back go to her sacrificial mode and accepting J in the interest of DS, Sumitra and Bhairon, but we can only hope DS & CO put Anandi out of tht dilemma by clarity in what J means to them if he is accepted into the family'(so tht A is guilt free of separating J and his family'..)

Jagya might truly repent and patch up with his parents and finally gg 2 settle down in jaitser and provide good heath care to all the people of Jaitser  worst case scenario he may end up marrying  Ashi and go to UK πŸ˜› (the fact he cudnt wrk in any hospitals)

Reg Gauri, she was never been shown to be truthful and faithful to Jagya🀒, so it will become unfair on J again a party to child marriage to be cheated by  her  incl the hidden  truth wht his dads role was for giving a life to G.

G  is 100% materialistic with no morality and human valuesπŸ‘ŽπŸΌ she  was introduced only to show/teach  Jagya a very invaluable lesson in life " that all tht glitters is not gold and he threw away a diamond (Anandi) running after a stone." πŸ‘πŸΌ And probably will b shown lives with regret and remorse that she separated J from his wife n parents... and finds another life partner who is compatible to her'😊

No one would have found fault with G if only she as a true friend tried to fix the problems in  J's marital life and married him only later when she found they cant b solved.

Her professionalism and intelligence is questionable by all  when she cudnt perceive the destruction she was causing to everyone involved by her decision to marry J, hopefully they will show us answers y  Gauri is the way she is'in all likelihood they may end up showing her as taking revenge for her childhood insult'. She might be punished by working  in an infamous hospital at Jaitser as a subordinate to  J πŸ˜‰πŸ˜† if they want to show  a success in their marriage or they may show divorce and moving in life between those two'and without saying the obvious  Anandi will probably be shown leading  a happy married life with Shiv in the same village right under their nose'. 😍
