Hello JDL Viewers!
First of all, Happy Father's Day to everyone! Sorry for the delay in the update...but let's get right into the episode!
The show starts with our hosts Ragini and Manish coming out and introducing the 3 judges. Ragini looking very pretty in a red indian outfit and Manish in a suit 😊
Madhuri comes out in a black gown with a rose in her hair and dances to the song 'Mil Gayi' by Sunidhi Chauhan. I'm not sure about the technical term for the dance but it seemed like tango. Nice to see Madhuri in this form also, she looked sultry and graceful..😳
Next Karan Johar comes out in a black suit and performs and he dances to mostly a music tune with the Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham theme music and background dancers dressed as jokers. Eh average performance on the whole' there wasn't really any dancing so it was just a basic introduction on the whole'🥱
And last but not least Remo comes out in a white shirt black vest and black pants' he performed some dapper moves' mostly on the hip hop side'. Overall a nice act..😊
All 3 acts were choreographed by Remo 👏
Now all 3 judges are on the dance floor and Manish and Ragini come out to join and welcome them. Manish comes with an aarti plate and calls Madhuri 'dance ki devi' (goddess of dance) and does pooja of her singing a bhajan 'jai dance ki devi'ghanti bhaj gayi meri 😆''. Madhuri reciprocates by holding up her hand and blessing him' Madhuri tells Manish that she also dances in Maa Kali roop doing tandav so he should beware of that also' Manish tells her she can dance ontop of him also and he wouldn't mind 😆 Ragini tells Karan to keep an eye on her for his next movie and some teasing there also 😛
Manish and Ragini introduce all the contestants and their partners as they come out on stage. Here are the pairings in the order they were called on stage:

Everyone is looking gorgeous in their costumes. Let's wait and see how they perform. Karan comments that it seems like this will be the best season of JDL (we hope so too Karan!) since there is someone from every field. Manish asks who is the 13th contestant and Madhuri says she will disclose at the right time!
First Performance: Giaa & Nishant
Ragini comes out and asks Karan to notice her acting ability. She says an emotional dialogue about bahu in over the top style and Madhuri says 'bas bas' and tells her that bahu is here and we see intro video of Giaa meeting her partner Nishant. Nishanti is checking himself out in the mirror and Giaa comes in and comments that he seems very self-obsessed 😆 Giaa says it is her first time dancing professionally and they show the duo practicing. Giaa comments that she wants to prove that her decision of participating in JDL was right. 😊
Their dance begins with both of them inside a TV box and them portraying a married couple. Giaa in a purple/yellow Lehenga/Sari and Nishant in Purple Indian Kurta and black pants. Nishant is angry as he has been fired from work and Giaa thinks how to make him feel better. Thus she begins to sing and dance to him to the song 'Gun Gun Guna Re'. Good energy and performance on the whole. Giaa seems very relieved when its over 😆
Judges Comments:
Karan starts off. He says Gia, Gia, Gia... yeh tumne kya kia 😆 He says it was a fantastic performance with the nautanki but she left the lip-sync at some places and should watch out for that as expression is most important in a song and unless you sing along to the song, you cannot express 😊
Madhuri says how do you feel since you had a lot of challenges but still did a very good first performance. Giaa says she feels very good now. Madhuri says she danced with a lot of confidence and Madhuri says she thinks Giaa will do very well in the show.
Remo says that they did very well especially since there was a lot of pressure on them since they were the first act in the show. Remo says their pairing is meant for each other since Nishant is the biggest nautanki 😆
The two walk up to the Hawa Mahel to meet Manish. Manish questions Giaa why she was so quiet since she is usually so talkative. Giaa says she had no breath in her thats why she only said thank you thank you. Manish says the two seem like balika vadhu as they are like little kids 😆

Anushka Dandekar (Actress, Singer, VJ) comes out and sings 'I hate you, like I love you' to Manish. She is Shibani's sister and introduces her and speaks a little marathi to Madhuri.
Second Performance: Shibani Dandekar - Puneet
Intro video shown of Puneet and Shibani meeting. Shibani's hindi not very good and Shibani says you have to teach me dance in hindi and Puneet says only dance or hindi also? 😆 Shibani says she is really looking forward to this.
Their dance starts... both are wearing white and dance to the song 'Apsara' in sem-classical form. they had some western steps in there also..both danced very well IMO... shibani looked very pretty. Nice lifts in there also...
Judges Comments:
Madhuri talks to Shibani in marathi since she cannot speak hindi much...she then parts. She compliments Puneet on his different touch to this song with the added western effect.
Remo also likes the hip hop and marathi mix. He likes the concept and says the execution was mostly good. He tells Shibani to loosen up and not be so stiff from shoulders and hand and thats all she needs to work on and her expressions were good also.
Karan says the biggest selling point for her dance was her sexiness. He compliments Puneet on the concept.
The duo go up to meet Manish who talks in pure Hindi to Shibani but Shibani's sister tells him she knows hindi very well but does he know Marathi and she teases him in Marathi a little 😛

Third Performance: Gurmeet & Shampa
Ragini does a little act pretending as if she needs help and Gurmeet suddenly appears and she says ever since he proposed she hasnt been able to sleep at night. Gurmeet says to who all can he keep offering help 😆
Intro video of Gurmeet and Shampa shown. Shampa says she needs somone tall dark and handsome like Sushant and then Gurmeet pulls up. Gurmeet says he is black belt in martial arts so his dance is also loud loud. They show Shampa training Gurmeet and she mentions he is a little stiff on his upper body as he has that action body. Debina is also there in hawa mahel and smiling to see them dance. Gurmeet says no hero is complete without dance and that is why he's there.
The duo begin their dance. The concept starts with Shampa in trouble and Gurmeet comes hangliding on a wire to save her and carries her to safety. She calls him her hero and the two dance to 'Tu mera hero' from Desi Boyz. Good energy and good lifts by Gurmeet... but yes Gurmeet is defintely a little stiff on his upper body but good first performance and of course good eye candy for the girls 😉 The mixed in some good western hip hop steps and Gurmeet ended by getting back on the hang gliding
Judges Comments:
Karan says the performance had josh and junoon but there was some stiffness so he needs to be more liquid and just have fun.
Remo says Gurmeet's entry proved he is a hero. Remo gives him a tip that since he is so tall and long he should extend his hands and overall a fantastic performance by both.
Madhuri questions Shampa why she always gets such good looking men. Shampa says there must be something in her 😆 Madhuri says Shampa is one of her favorites. Madhuri says the entry was fantastic and overall it was good and since it was first performance she can overlook some things.
Ragini tells Gurmeet to dance with her. Gurmeet starts to dance with her to same song and then he lifts her up and comes to Shampa and they both rock her together 😆 The two go up to Hawa Mahel to meet Manish. Manish tells Gurmeet that he came as Bhagwan Ram but does things like Hanuman ji 😆
