Hi guys.. Rice is one of the most important staple diet in India.. Plz do share ur different rice recipes for all of us to try!

I'l share one of mine

Methi rice / menthe baath

Ingredients

Rice-1 cup

Methi leaves- 1 bunch

Coconut- 3-4 tbsp

Red chillies-3-4

Cinnamon- 1 inch stick

Cloves- 2-3

Ginger-1/2 inch piece

Garlic-3-4 cloves

Rasam/sambar powder-2 tbsp

Oil-4 tbsp

Salt

Method

Cook rice with 2 cups of water & keep aside. Dry roast red chillies, cloves & cinnamon separately. Grind red chillies, cloves, cinnamon, ginger & garlic with coconut adding very little water.Keep aside. Take a deep bottomed vessel (such as a deep pan or a big kadai), add oil. Once the oil is heated up add the ground paste & rasam / sambar powder and keep on stirring in low flame till the raw smell goes. Then add the methi leaves and stir till it gets cooked. Add rice and salt & mix well.. Serve hot.
