"The course of true love never did run smooth."(William Shakespeare)
This quote is so right for Indira and Rishi, because the writer and the CVs of "Hitler Didi",seems to make their journey of love so difficult. But unlike in real life, where even God gives us a chance to be truly happy,Illa Bedi Dutta and the new director, have taken a solemn oath that they would make Indira's life hell, and torture their audience. They seem to have become insane with their ideas, which are running wild."The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome."And the writer of 'HD' seems to follow this insanity;she is repeating the Indira-Rishi marriage theme again-and-again,bring them closer and drifting them apart ,with a new situation every time, expecting a new outcome. Why continue to have them go back and forth, almost get them married and bring in other characters opposite Indira to develop a potential love-story,and expect the audience to stick around and watch? It is very difficult to find a way to deal with two characters ,who everybody knows should be together, yet drifted apart.
If the writer,as well as the director of 'HD' are not finding any new theme in their story, than they must have accelerated the Indira-Rishi relationship too fast. There could have been more story-telling before they got Indira and Rishi together in the episode, where they're secretly married. The kiss and the events of that episode shifted the dynamic of Indira-Rishi relationship. And nothing can change what is being done,i.e.,the depth of their love has become more firm now,and we're looking forward for a whole new level of Indira and Rishi's relationship. And inevitably at this point in the show, the audience are not going to accept anyone else in their lives. It will rather make us feel that we're being fooled around.
By now the writer and the CVs should know that bringing Indira and Rishi together as a couple wouldn't be unbearable;it would rather add a new layer to their love-story.They could still have many such moments, where they will argue over petty issues;Indira will be more dominant, and Rishi will be submissive.Their could be issues about their living arrangements after they are married, yet they would find a way out. Many difficulties might come in their way, relating to issues regarding Indira's family and their ongoing nagging, yet Indira and Rishi would face it strongly, and be madly in love with each other. They can have children, and yet their ideas on child-rearing will be just as conflicted,as their argument over who stopped the auto-rickshaw first ,was seen in the beginning. These small little arguments and fights will prove even more interesting.
The show can be an ensemble one,not just about the two of them, indira and Rishi. But for this the writer have to develop a strong story-line to the supporting cast, who can equally grow as characters. For instance,Mandira and her love interest,Ishaan with his problem of dealing with stress that he feels from his family(psychologically affecting him and his behavior in school),etc.Indira and Rishi's relationship should be put in such a way that,we as audience can enjoy their togetherness, without redefining the theme. It will make the show work;it will still be "Hitler Didi" at the end of the day,and this will make all the difference.
Once you do the deed, you're done.We didn't ask for a love-story in the protagonist''s life, but the writer has given us one;we accepted the show for what was being presented to us,i.e.,a simple development of the emotion of love in Indira's life;the closeness of the two characters, who are so different from each other.Besides,Rati and Sumit play so well with their chemistry;just from the beginning the chemistry between them has been so good, that it's better to keep that simmering.
This is what I feel, that the writer, and the CVs have really messed up with their theme and the story-line between Indira and Rishi;and to bring a balance, their ideas are running wild. But if they keep this on-going madness in their script, the ratings of the show is definitely going to take a steep nosedive and the show will never recover.I don't intend to raise any fights,or bashing,so please, share your views openly.
