Show: Phir Subah Hogi
Episode: 25th April 2012
Into its 2nd week, Phir Subah Hogi has already managed to capture the interest of its Audience and is currently the hot topic of tinsel town…..With Chosing such a rare and bold theme, of a social evil like SarDhakkai, to its brilliant execution, amazing characterization in its very first week the show has proved ki its here to stay, and be at the top of its game……..
One thing i have to mention is that Narayani Shastri and Gulki Joshi share an amazing Chemistry as Mother and Daughter. Not just in acting but by looks also they are very similar making the Mother-Daughter relationship look very real…..
I know its not right to be emotional about a show, which is pure fiction, but can these people be any real? I mean do such people even exist, yes i am talking about Sugni's Maama(s) and Maami……..Gulabiya is going through a rough phase with regard to her health, when she was in the best of health she did everything in her power to feed her family, she made sure that everything in her home functioned well…And today when her family should support her, and encourage her in taking rest, Her elder brother and Bhabhi are making sure that by all means Gulabiya goes for the Rai performance……and her younger brother who was given the responsibility of getting Gulabiya's medicine fails to do so, because he wanted to know the Sex of the unborn child…..Its hard to believe that such inhumane people also exist, for whom relationships and emotions means nothing……All they want is money and would do anything to make sure that their life goes smoothly….
When Sugni announces that her mom will not go for the function, as she is too weak to dance…..Mamaji announces that his daughter would go instead, and this leaves everybody shocked…….OMG that announcement was like a punch in the face……I mean does this guy have no shame, no guilt in sending his own daughter, his sister or his niece for such a degraded thing????Mamiji cries that her daughter, a child of such tender age is asked to be made ready so that she can be taken for the Rai……But has she once thought that few days back when she was asking Sugni to do the same, that Sugni was also the daughter of somebody…..???
This leaves Sugni with no other choice but to agree to perform the Rai Dance……A girl who since childhood kept telling her mother that "Mai Hum Kabhi Nahi Nachenge"……is forced to bow in front of this so called situation……
Applause to the Team of Phir Subah Hogi…….You guys did a Fantastic Job in today's episode, which primarily concentrated on the conflicts between different individuals in Sugni's Family, and the conflict that was going on inside Sugni……Yes the scene was a bit too stetched but i am sure its for theDramatic feel and Imapct…….But Hatts off……
We have always seen the female lead /Protagonists Dupatta get hooked to the Male Leads jacket, hand cuff's etc, but it was refreshing to see such a scene take place between a mother and daughter…….It was something like "Ma ka Aanchal Choota"……type……But the scene was lovely…..The Pain, the bond and the unspoken words that this mother-daughter duo shared were Amazing……
One Symbolism that one can see in today's episode is in the last scene, where when Sugni walks out of the house her whole family except her mother is shown to come outside, while Gulabiya is shown in a far shot, from behind the Window bars…….This to me symbolizes, how her hands were tied, how helpless she was that she could do nothing to stop daughter from going to do the Rai Dance……
The episode ends with Sugni walking in the Same direction which she keeps Dreaming off, the one that would take her to the City…..The one that would take her and her mom far away from their Village……Though she has decided to dance for today, it does not imply her taking this profession up forever….rather it implies, how she will succeed in going away from this village, and from the social evils practiced there like she always wanted…….Phir Subah Zaroor Hogi!!!
