<font size="3" face="Calibri">It was 12:00 in the night when the waiter came forward to
tell Arnav and his business delegates, who were discussing over the new
contract over dinner that it was time for closing of the restuarant. Arnav
checked his watch and realized it had been nearly five hours since they sat
there discussing terms and conditions. "All Right Gentlemen, Let's call it a
night. My secretary will have the progression forwarded to you tomorrow", Arnav
said as he stood up and shook the delegates' hands. The delegates left and he
waited for his driver and security guards to
finish collecting files and putting the laptop away. "We're done Sir.
The car is ready for you downstairs", his secretary said and he nodded heading
outside. The whole restaurant was completely empty, as the darkness of the
night flooded through the wide windows, it was a pretty uptown restaurant. But
as he was walking he saw a girl sleeping on the dinner table, as the laptop
screen's flashed light on her, with her dinner plate full with untouched food.
He raised an eyebrow at that and looked around to see if anyone was with her.
She looked more like a university student, what could she be doing here? And even
though the mighty ASR never cared to stop for anyone, he found himself being
pulled towards her, not physically but his mind was scorching with the
curiosity that had formed from the mystery girl. He asked his staff to carry on
and wait for him outside and unthinkingly he stepped out to her direction. He
didn't know why he was walking towards, but there was something there, perhaps
the serene beauty of her sleeping face, the falling strands that seemed to
irritate her eyes or the way her lips seemed to move even though she was
asleep. He walked upto her slowly and saw a powepoint slide on the
international marketing of Business flash wide on her laptop screen. And with a
notepad scribbled with notes, it seemed like she was a university student. "The
Internal Business policy was'..", and she started to recite it in her sleep.
Arnav looked at her amusingly, she looked adorable the way she spoke in her
sleep. "Must. Not. Sleep. Wake Up. Khushi. You have a final tomorrow", she mumbled
talking to herself in her sleep. Arnav kept staring at her, completely
intrigued by her. He didn't understand this feeling which was pulling him
towards her, which was clouding all the surroundings around them and
brightening out her itself. She was nothing like he had ever encountered
before. She kept mumbling worrisome things about her exam. Arnav smirked a
little, endowed by her innocence and bent down to take her notepad and pen
which was beside her. He wrote something
and tore the piece of paper out. He put
it on her laptop keyboard and walked away from her table. As e walked away, he
saw the waiter come up to her table to wake her up. He saw her waking up before he disappeared
through the doors. </font>

was startled as the waiter had come again to wake her up. "Mam, It's time for
closing the restaurant", he said looking at her untouched food. Khushi rubbed
her eyes as she realized she had fallen asleep again, "Umm could I have the
bill please. And ca you pack this food for me", she asked as the waiter nodded
and took her plate away to get it packed. As Khushi was about to pack her stuff
away, her eyes fell on a note sitting on her laptop. It read:</font></font>

is Intense. By the way you were reciting all the concepts in your sleep, you
got it down. Take it from an experienced business man. Surveys predict it is better to get atleast
eight hours of sleep before an exam than cramming all night. </font></font>

<font size="3" face="Calibri">Khushi was baffled at the note. Who was this person? How did
he know about her exam? Oh crap was she talking in her sleep again. That was so
embarrassing. She could tell this was a businessman all right. The way he wrote
as in pure contract-knowledge. As much as she appreciated him writing this
down, she couldn't decide between what kind of a man he was. By the way he
wrote, he seemed to be so''mechanic. But before she could ponder on that, the
waiter brought her food and she hurried to her car, to drive to her university
campus. Khushi crashed on her bed, as she thought about the note again. She
didn't know why but the words, 'good luck and good night' kept wandering in her
head and that thought made her smile. The morning rays woke her up, as she
hurried to get ready. Today was the last exam in her MBA study. And it was the
toughest as well, she was nervous as well as excited at the same time. She got
ready quickly, as she decided to continue her tradition of getting Carmel
toasted coffee from the coffee shop near the college campus as a token of good
luck before any exam. She had been following this superstition since the past
two years of her study here. She called up her friend to inform her she'll meet
her in the lecture hall. "Need to Hurry Up Khushi. The Exam starts in another
twenty minutes", she mumbled to herself as she went inside the coffee shop. "One
medium Caramel toasted macchiato please", she told the registrar as she took
out her card to pay for Coffee. "sorry Mam, that flavor is out of stock right
now", he told her. "Out of Stock. But how. Hai devi maiyya what am I going to
do now. That coffee was my luck charm. And IF ii don't have it'.its my last
final today", she mumbled to herself as she panicked. "Listen please I really
need that coffee today. You don't understand I really need that coffee. I'm
willing to pay double price for that coffee, please can you do anything about
it", she pleaded. "Sorry Mam, but you'll have to wait another twenty minutes
for it to be brewed again. And the last of the coffee has just been purchased
by someone else. Would you like another flavor." Khushi's heart sunk at that as
she mumbled a 'no' and walked outside. </font>
<font size="3" face="Calibri">She felt like she was about to drown in sadness, like she
might fail the exam now that she didn't have the coffee. 'Hai Devi Maiyya, why
would you do this to me on such an important day?' She kept thinking. She
walked down the lecture hall to sit in her usual seat and she sat down with a
heavy heart. But her eyes popped out as she saw a coffee cup sitting on the
table, from the very coffee shop she had just been rejected her favorite coffee.
It was the very same coffee which was now sitting in front of her and it had a
note attached to it. Her heart skipped a beat as she saw a note and an unknown
anxiousness swept through her. She opened it and it read:</font>
<font size="3"><font face="Calibri">Supersitions overpowers
emotion. But knowledge overpowers everything, which you posses already. But for
personal satisfaction, the coffee. How the coffee came to you is not important,
the exam is. </font></font>

<font size="3" face="Calibri">Her eyes popped out as she read it. She drank the hot coffee
and her taste buds revealed in joy. Oh myy God. Who was this man? Why was he
doing this for her. And her heart melted as she read the note, she was
extremely touched as someone would do that for her. She could tell the person didn't seem
mechanic, she was sure he was a robotic businessman. But through his actions
and words, she could tell there was a big heart within him. She drank up the
coffee appreciatively as she waited for her professor to come. But her mind
kept wandering to the how, then his words 'How the coffee came to you is not
important, the exam is' ran through her mind. Damn this man was like a mind
reader. It was like he could predict exactly what she could think. Taking his advice
off, she concentrated on what her professor was saying. A huge smile spread
across her face as she spoke to her friends and came out of the Business
building. It had to be the best exam she had ever given. And she couldn't help
but thank the mystery man. From the way he had sent her coffee, it had to mean
he was there in the coffee shop this morning''.This curiosity was killing her.
Who was he? How was he helping her behind her back? She had to find out
immidietely. But she groaned internally as there was a last lecture in the auditorium
which was mandatory to attend and she hurried towards that building''.</font>
