PART 13
To Geet's amazement, Anvesha had a whole little ceremony ready within 5 minutes. She placed the large bowl of milk which was decorated with soft rose petals on the table in front of where Geet and Maan where sitting. Maan smirked inwardly, almost waiting for this day to come where he will beat his wife at the game. Yes, you saw correctly' beat his wife at a game! You may call it childish but for Maan this was a challenge!
Geet could not help but blush profusely at what his family member's where doing for her' Maan thought of something mischievously and trailed his hand on Geet's back, not making it visible to his mother and his sister. Geet jumped ecstatically with his seductive touch. She tried to warn Maan with her eyes not to be naughty, but Maan was nowhere to listen and drew his fingers on her exposed waistline shamelessly slowing caressing it making her crave for more. Geet started to breathe heavier at his tender touch. Anvesha and Anjali got curious at why Geet started to breathe heavily'
"Beta, kya aap ki koi saans ki takleef hai? Asthma to nahi hai?" Anjali inquired worryingly.
"Nahi Badi Rani Saheba aisa kuch nahi hai" Geet reassured her, But little did she know that her naughty son was behind all this.
"Yeh kya beta, hum aap ko beti maante hai aur aap abhi bi ye Badi Rani Saheba ka rat laga ke bethi ho!" Anjali said with a tinge of seriousness in her voice.
"Par phir hum aap ko kya pukare?" Geet asked confusingly.
"Beta aap hume Maa nahi bulaye ge?" Anjali said softly with a warm smile implanted on her face.
Geet eyes welled up with tears as for the first time Anjali had asked her to call her Maa' Geet had never experienced love from her mother' and this time it was someone who actually accepted her as a daughter.
Geet held her ear in an apologetic way "Maaf kardijiye Maa, humse bhool hogayi' par yeh baat to hai ke hum pehli baar kisi ko apni Maa maan re hai. Aap to jaanti hai ke humare sar pe Maa ka pyaar na ta na kabhi aana ta' Issliye hum jijak re te'" tears fell from her eyes as if she did something so terrible to her mother' she knew from now on she can never displease her mother-in-law or should I say newly found mother because her happiness, along with Maan's meant the world to her.
Anjali's eyes welled up to hearing her innocent talks "Pagali! Aap to humesha se humare ghar par re ri ho' Aap ne hume Maa nahi maana ta?" Anjali faked her anger and faced the other way'
Geet pulled Maan's hand away from her waistline and gave him an open-eyed look almost telling him not to mess with her' she got up and hugged Anjali from the back and voiced another sorry. Anjali giggled at her antics and turned around and kissed her forehead giving her the masses of blessings she deserves. Geet sat back down to see an angry Maan. She knew he would be angry from her moving his hand away from her, but what could she do? She was the shy type whom cannot handle the teasing or the questions from her newly found family members.
Anvesha signalled everyone to wipe their tears and to stop getting sentimental and enjoy the moment. She placed the ring in and whirled it around.
Geet and Maan both placed their hands in and started searching for the ring. Maan moved his hand around in the bowl trying to find the ring. Geet, whom was lost in the moment, was slowing trailing her hand in the bowl. Suddenly, she felt the ring and was about to pull it out, but she stopped for a moment as she found out a way to cure her husband's anger. She slowly went towards his hand which was trying to find the ring in full attitude' then their hands collided.
They looked lovingly into each other's eyes suddenly drowning in the depth of passion' Anvesha and Anjali, whom which were rooting for Geet, stood there admiring their love and winking at each other at the depth of their love.
Anvesha cleared her throat and brought the love-birds back to reality' Geet lowered her gaze and blush whereas Maan looked around in full attitude' He pulled up the ring in his hand and declared his victory. Geet smiled at his victory' Maan winked at her almost thanking her for the ring'
"Yeh sirf humari jeet nahi hai' Yeh humari aur Geetanjali ki hai' aur yeh mat samajiye ke humari rai chalegi' Geetanjali ka utna hi haq hai humare shaadi-shude zindagi pe" Maan declared happily, whereas Maan's mothers heart filled with the warmth of her son's words'
"So Bhabhi chaleye na' aap ko raat ke liye tayaar karna hai!" Anvesha teased her. Maan walked passed Geet and whispered something in her ears'
"Get ready Jaan!" he walked off smirking inwardly to himself knowing what effect he left on her'
Anvesha took her into her room where she dressed her in a purple wedding attire with matching jewels' She was looking impeccable' Maan was to surely fall flat before this Greek Goddess of a wife he has'
Maan's bedroom was full with flowers and to add to the flavour of the night, Maan himself decorated the sage of his bed and the jasmine flowers hanging around his bed. He carefully thought about the design on his bed' he smirked inwardly knowing that the design he was planning to make, was not going to last long! Eventually, he made a love heart of flowers and wrote something in the middle of the bed with the white rose petals'
"Geetanjali Maan Singh Khurana, zara bach ke rehna humse! Kyunke hum aap ko chorne nahi wale"
Maan left out of the room into his bathroom and got dressed in a white kurta-pyjama and went onto the terrace for a while.
Geet did not enter the room just yet' she found a note on the door (different to the one he wrote on the bed)'
"Jaan, hum jaante hai ke aaj humari raat hai' par kamre se aane se pehle ek surprise hai' Mehal ke dusri side se terrace pe aane' hum aap ka intezaar kare ge'
Aap ka Maan' jo humesha ke liye sirf aapka!"
Geet wondered for a moment and blushed at his note' she kissed it dearingly when Anvesha was not looking'
She told Anvesha that she will go in after she goes and pays a Good Night to her mother-in-law' Anvesha respectfully agreed and walked off' little did she know that she was going somewhere else'
