A direct rip-off of two films Agneesakshi and  Daraar, the show revolves
around the lead protagonist Janvi (Sriti
Jha) being tortured by an abusive husband Viraj (Karanvir Bohra), who goes
through great lengths to instill fear in
his new wife, including locking her up
in a room full of cockroaches. For the
world, Viraj is nothing less than a perfect husband and this over-possessive
side of Viraj is only known to Janvi,
who silently bears his cruel behaviour
in fear for her family's life. But soon
things get out of hand, and Janvi finally
manages to escape when the car she is
traveling in with her mom-in-law meets
with an accident. Viraj believes that it
was Janvi who died in the accident, giving her a chance to begin a new life.

No doubt that the cruelty shown in the
film can be very disturbing, and the situations seem over the top to a great extent, but the strong performances of the
lead actors Karanvir and Janvi make it
a compelling watch. While Karanvir's
maniacal act actually manages to give
one goose flesh, Janvi's vulnerability
that she projects make her quite endearing. Together they keep the audience's
interest alive. On the downside, Janvi's
character fails to inspire or encourage
women to speak up against the issue
that the show claims to tackle. Instead of
showing her to start fighting for her
rights, the show chooses to instead go
the filmi way where she's opting for a
new life. Overall, the show is a family
bonder, and entertaining and the actors
impressive, but you do find yourself
wishing that it would send out a
stronger message to women to speak up,
than just glamourise violence.

the writers of this article should just come and check that how audience has accepted the new track.
it is a serial, and within one episode they just cannot show janvi strong.
they will definitely show it in future.
but whatever happened now, i like it. they are surely showing janvi as strong woman, if she wouldn't be one then why would she ever agree to treat viraj or ever agree to leave him that night even after knowing that viraj can kill her family?
it neeeds courage and janvi has it.
so kudos to the cv and d makers.
great work.

thanks for sharing.

janvi tried to punish viraj by consulting the police.
but she could not even do that.
she tried a lot and later when all the options were useless she escaped.
so how they can say that she is not shown to be strongShocked?

Tanu is it an article? or ur personal post? I am just asking dear..coz i don't know what DNA means.. i mean..is it some sort of magazine? Confused
and No comments about the track etc. as i don't think i have that capibility to read creatives mind and say about the track whether it will be the same way as movies or not...but yes tortures have been shown similarly like Agneesakhshi and that cleaning spree and Obsessive love is from Daraar..so yes i agree on those..but again all Tv shows are taken from somewhere.. (I mean look at EK's shows? it's far better than that!!!)
as far as Jhanvi's character is shown...so far...she is still a weak character...but now that she is away from him..i think will explore more into her character...and that could be the reason of her escape to highlight her side of the story.
now yes both movies had Hero and Villain..but in this case...they have Hero and AntiHero which is not same as Villain..Anshuman has stated clearly in his article that the character is Grey!!! and so there are chances of it becoming either Black or White...U never know..that is why they have said AntiHero for him..rather than Villain..
New Entry...agar movies ke tarah se dekhe...to he should be a strong positive character who helps the woman and "Saves" her from the MEAN , DEVIL..etc etc..the words u may think for him... and that is what they are also following..
but what i agree on here either article or ur saying Tanu, is that yes she is running away and getting help from somewhere...rather than being able to save her self and standing up against him...(jese Jhuhi ne kia tha..Daraar me...she did stand up against Arbaaz..and she hit him with glass...etc...there was a fight shown between those two...and lastly when he was stuck in the railway track...she tried to save him...but he chose to die instead!!!) and that is where my problem starts! If they are gona kill him...do it soon..rather than dragging it to last minute and rising hopes...
Nyways...again u can't read their minds..so rather stay happy/unhappy and watch the show until the desirable outcome.

Thanks for the sharing

The actors name are Karanvir & Sriti not Jahnvi. How can the reporter compliment the actors then refer to the actress by her character name.

Krrish the reporter is just saying DSD is pure entertainment LOL
