Set in the future,this story is about a new country that has replaced North America. It's the story of Panem , a country that has been divided into the Capitol and 12 other districts.Then there is the Hunger Games, held annually it is a mega-event in which two young representatives from each district are selected by lottery to participate. Part entertainment, part brutal intimidation of the subjugated districts, the televised games are broadcast throughout the country. The participants are forced to eliminate their competitors, literally, with all citizens required to watch.  Katniss Everdeen volunteers to take her younger sister's place as a representative of the mining district, along with her male counterpart. Will they survive against bigger, stronger representatives who have trained for this their whole lives ??

The movie is good, it maintains the novel's romance to satisfy faithful fans. It also gives it's audience plenty of action, but the fight wouldn't interest fans of pure action genre. The novel provide an intriguing premise for it's readers, which the movie fails to capture in it's true form.My rating would be 7.5/10.
