He found himself wishing he was wrong. Praying he was wrong about the things he had thought were nonsense. The things Khushi put her entire life in the hands of, she had surrendered to him completely, she had given herself to him, body and soul, and she wanted him to know it.

 

But he didn't know how to tell her, and at this point, he didn't even know if he could show her, that he had done the same, he had given her what was left of himself, trusting her to piece him back together, bit by bit. But on the night of his brothers wedding, she had shredded those remaining pieces of his heart. She had broken all that was left of him, by betraying the one person inhis life who had held him together all these years.

 

But that wasn't enough for him, he hadn't just wanted to be held together, he had wanted more, he had wanted to be whole again. Despite all they had been through, she had not just retained her humanity which he had lost to some extent, she had come out of it clutching him to her, taking care of him. And no matter how indirectly, Khushi was responsible. Through no fault of her own, she had Anjali's blood on her hands. After everything he had put her through, she was assuring him she would never leave his side. She had fallen in love with him, and that mean't she was his in every way.

 

He felt himself shuddering as he prepared to break her heart once more... carefully handing back to her the pieces of herself she had trusted him with. A once solid entity, now left in tatters.
