Khushi was exasperated with the way Jiji and Akash Jijaji kept on bungling the simple dance steps. It was mama-mami's 30th wedding anniversary and mamiji wanted a splashy, sparkly affair complete with songs and dance numbers. And if these two stopped making cow eyes at each other and concentrated on the dance steps choreographed by Mrs Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada, then some progress could have been made. But no, Akash has suddenly decided to become Mr Lover Boy, taking advantage of the absence of his eagle-eyed mama from the scene; romancing his wife, not paying any attention to the music or to Khushi's instructions. And her jiji was no better, goofy smile firmly in place; she was lost in Akash's eyes. Payal had broken down in the face of Anjali's relentless interrogation last evening and with shy pride had shared the good news with them.

After only a month of being married, Akash and Payal Singh Raizada had finally kissed!

Deciding to leave the love-birds alone, Khushi switched off the CD player and moved stealthily to the kitchen to fry up a batch of jalebis. These days, the frequency of jalebi making had gone up drastically and only this morning Khushi was unable to squeeze into one of her favourite kurtis. It was so tight'All because of the Laad Governor, Mr Arnav Singh Raizada.

He had disclosed the reasons for blackmailing her to marry him, bearing her icy disdain, her fiery insults stoically; offering absolutely nothing in his own defence. He had admitted being in the wrong; being inhumanly cruel to her and not even once had asked her to forget and forgive him. It was as though he looked forward to receive whatever punishment she thought fit to dole out for his crime. But it appeared that he knew her too well, better than her own self, because she had forgiven him, eventually.

But that has been more than 10 days ago and gradually all her defences had crumbled. Though he had put his foot down and had informed her in no uncertain terms that they would both be sleeping in the same bed, he did not even once try to exercise his husbandly rights; letting her know without words that it was up to her to take the next steps.

 He would remain on his side of the wide, lake-sized bed and she on hers, the wall of pillows being the no man's land between the warring parties.

But somehow every morning she would wake up to find herself wrapped around his hard frame,the mountain of pillows littering the carpet at the foot of the bed; her head on his shoulder, her legs scissoring his; his arms would be wound tight around her. His hands, her face flamed at the positions his hands would rest. Her stomach, her butt, her breasts; her kurta would miraculously climb high, no match at all for Mr Raizada's roving hands. But on waking up, he would do nothing, simply free himself, wish her 'Good Morning' in that sexy, husky voice and get busy with his morning rituals; watering his plants, watching news channels and all these while being extremely polite to her.

Khushi had tried hard to find out exactly when this happened, to pinpoint the time she turned into the clinging vine. She had stayed awake once, gazing at him after he slept; she after all had defeated a cat once in the staring contest, the disgraced feline never to be seen in the neighbourhood again, but all in vain, as her husband had turned to her suddenly and had threatened to blindfold her if she did not quit staring at him. She was freaking him out, was his romantic declaration.

Should I continue and add another part? Or should this be abandoned and forgotten...sob sob!
