Some reel pairs manage to put the screen on fire with their sizzling onscreen chemistry.

Waheeda Rehman was discovered by Guru Dutt and he cast her as a vamp in his production C.I.D. After the success of the film, Dutt and Waheeda acted together in 'Pyaasa', 'Kaagaz Ke Phool', 'Chaudhvin Ka Chand' and 'Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam'. Reports suggest that Dutt's existing marriage and her successful films with other directors caused them to drift apart personally and professionally.

Raj Kapoor and Nargis had the most amazing onscreen chemistry, They starred in quite a few movies together till their eventual estrangement, the most popular among them being 'Aag', 'Awara' and 'Shree 420'. Reports suggest even the RK logo is somehow inspired by Nargis. In the film 'Barsaat' there is a famous scene of Raj Kapoor holding Nargis in one hand and a violin in the second. This image of love became the logo and identity of RK Studio.

Suraiya was romantically linked to Dev Anand. and the two of them costarred in six films between 1948 and 1951. Dev Anand reportedly proposed to Suraiya on the sets of the film 'Jeet' in 1949. The two could not get married because Suriaya was a Muslim and her family was opposed to their relationship.

Dilip Kumar and Madhubala first met on the sets of 'Jwar Bhata' and worked together again in the film 'Har Singaar' which was never completed or released. They worked together in quite a few films together but their association ended following a highly controversial court case.

Rajesh Khanna and Mumtaz acted together in films like 'Do Raaste', 'Sachcha Jhootha', 'Dushman', 'Apna Desh' and 'Aap Ki Kasam' among others. Although they shared awesome chemistry, Rajesh was linked to his other co-stars like Tina Munim.

They worked together on 'Sholay'. Apart from 'Sholay', the Dharmendra-Hema pair appeared together in films like 'Seeta Aur Geeta', 'Dreamgirl', 'Charas' and 'The Burning Train'. Hema and Dharmendra converted to Islam and tied the knot later since Dharmendra was already married.

There were a lot of rumours about Amitabh and Rekha doing the rounds because they looked amazing onscreen. It was quite surprising when Rekha, Amitabh and Jaya acted together in Yash Chopra's 'Silsila'.

Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit have acted together in quite a few hit films like 'Ram Lakhan', 'Beta', 'Khel' among others. While they shared awesome reel chemistry, they were linked to each other in real life. Madhuri was linked to her other co-star Sanjay Dutt for quite a while.

Aamir Khan made his Bollywood debut opposite Juhi Chawla in 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak' and the two went on to work together in a few films together. However, it's been a while since the two have worked together.

The Kajol and Shahrukh Khan hit pair have delivered numerous blockbusters together – 'Baazigar', 'Karan Arjun', 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge', 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' and 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham'. Kajol took a long break for motherhood and ardent fans expected her to make her comeback with SRK. Kajol however surprised everyone when she chose the other Khan over her good friend SRK. For the first time she was paired opposite Aamir in Kunal Kohli's 'Fanaa'. Rumour has it that Karan Johar wanted Kajol to do Rani Mukherjee's part in 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna' but she wasn't comfortable with the infidelity subject and therefore declined the offer. Rani happily stepped into the vacant spot and the film became a huge hit. All hopes then were pinned on 'My Name is Khan' where the audience would get to see the super hit pair after nine years. SRK's portrayal of a Muslim man with Asperger's syndrome and his love story with Kajol, a Hindu single mother created magic on screen.

Ranbir and Deepika might have split but the promise to recreate their onscreen magic in their next film together. Despite their break-up, the two have agreed to work together after a very outing in 'Bachna Aae Haseeno'.

What, no Sridevi - Jeetendra or Sridevi Anil Kapoor? EPIC FAIL!

And I would have kept Aamir - Pooja instead of Aamir - Juhi. I love Aamir's pairing with Juhi but in terms of hotness I think Aamir had it best with Pooja.
