Ila arrives in an auto to Subbu's house with conch blowing BGM. Rings the bells calls Subbu athai - no response. Tries the door and finds it locked. (Did Subbu change house recently?) Next Ila calls Subbu's hand phone, no response. The landline is tried again no response. Ila wonders where did Subbu go when she has specifically informed her of her coming over. Next Ila calls Naachch. Gets scolded by Naach - maybe Ila went there late, so Subbu could have left for the temple. Ila leaves saying something seems to go wrong whereever she goes. Night time. SK seeing photos of twins on his laptop. Ganga too joins him. He has photoshopped on how his twins should look. (naan kadavuL nu nenappO) SK asks if Ganga wants the babies to be like him or her. Andhamma answers that she wants the babies to be like her mother. ( kizhinjudhu pO - oru mada saambraaNiyE engaLaala thaangamudiyala) Ganga starts singing in praise of her mother. SK paavam is like us. He feels atleast the twins can look like them, but Ganga insists must also look like her mother (idhu rombavE too muchu) SK calls his parents for mediating. RV asks why shouldnt the child resemble them, jovially. Ganga says it was all SK's handiwork. Kappu tells Ganga to call her mother and find out her mother's wishes. Ganga calls, the handphone rings inside Subbu's house - on the dining table along with a set of new clothes there.
Next Ganga tries the landline. Again no response. SK asks maybe she is asleep. Ganga is sure that Subbu wouldnt go to sleep so soon. And she would keep the handphone next to her expecting their calls. Ganga is scared. Kappu asks her to call Naachch, because she might have gone to some temple with Naachch, Subbu keeps visiting temples often. Ganga does call Naachch who tells that Subbu must have gone to Vaideeswaran temple, Naachch forgot to inform Ganga. Subbu should be back the next day.
RV, Kappu leave to their room. SK moves away. Ganga thinks to herself that her mother has never gone anywhere without informing again with the conch blowing BGM (Subbuvukku sangaa??)
Rama calls, the phone is switched off comes the operator's voice. She calls JC and tells that Kula's phone has been switched off, he hadnt come in the morning or for lunch. And it is already night. JC tells her not to worry. MA who comes there is a little worried. MA tells that Kula never ever switches off his phone - why now? Just to confuse people as is his habit retorts JC. Kula's car arrives. Kula enters the house with a conch and weird BGM, his head bent - worried. Rama looks at him and then at MA. MA also wonders about Kula's looks. Rama looks down and asks he has entered the house without removing his footwear. JC & MA watch. Kula goes and removes his footwear. Comes back to give a " engappan kudhirukkuLLa illa" look.
Rama asks him what is wrong? Usually he would remove his footwear at the doorstep, call her Subbu's daughter but today he is unusually quiet. He has no answer except for thiru thiru muzhichings. Rama asks him to wash his hands and come for dinner. He drops the water that Rama gives for washing his hands, Rama helps him with another round of water in the sombu. He does as instructed. Kula sits to eat. Rama serves him and asks why he turned off the phone and never came the whole day. Kula is prodded again by MA, says he has some important work. JC wants to know what that important work was and why is Kula looking so tensed? Kula replies that he is not tensed. Rama asks him to eat instead of just mixing the rice. The first mouthful and Kula chokes. Drinks water. MA asks aloud as to who would be thinking of him? Pat comes Rama's reply - who else other than madasaambraNi Subbu. Kula once again has the EKI look. Rama thanks Kula for attending Charu's engagement. JC asks her to remain quiet. Kula is tensed and confused he says. They want to know the problem so that they can help him. Kula knows to solve his problems is his reply. MA wants to know what should be their gift to Charu for her wedding. Give whatever may please you is Kula's reply. He leaves the dinner table midway. Washes hands and leaves without wearing his footwear. JC wonders what is wrong /what is troubling his father who usually is the root cause of wrong and trouble...

An auto approaching Subbu's house with the conch blowing BGM. (oodhara sanga ozhunga oodhi tholaingadaa)
JC, Rama & MA get out of the auto to ring the bell. The bell is
unanswered. JC tries the door, it is locked. Each one takes turn to
call athai, amma, aNNi. MA wonders where Subbu could have gone? Rama
calls Subbu's handphone - keeps ringing. The handphone is on the dining
table amidst new clothes, flowers, fruits etc. (But wont atleast one of the daughters' have a duplicate key to the house?? - enna ammaavO, enna poNNungaLO??) Where could she have gone at this hour they wonder (adhu endha hournu theriyaadhu - dont ask doubts to me) Rama
says maybe to Naachch periamma's house. She calls there. Naachch
answers the phone to say Subbu has gone to Vaitheeswaran kovil. Naachch
forgot to tell Rama. But amma did not inform me says Rama. Must have
forgotten is Naachch's supportive line. Rama forgot her medical reports
at Ayakudi - the last time she went to the doc with Subbu. Today is
checkup, so, Charu has another set of keys. Please pass it through
someone requests Rama. Naachch says she will bring it herself and also
accompany to the doc. Rama already has JC & MA along, so only the
key will do. Oh ok then replies Naachch, she thought Rama was making
the trip alone. (Seema's acting is simply superb) Naachch would send the keys through Ila. MA & JC get updated on Subbu's trip (adhu one way ticketaa nu sollitholaingappa - naanga vEnaa unga sangu BGMkku maNi adikkirOm)
and keys being sent through Ila. The trio wait outside. The camera
zooms in on the photo of Subbu in the house with the same conch blowing
BGM.
Rama has never seen her
mother's house locked, a kind of uneasy feeling has set in she laments
to MA. How can the house be kept unlocked when going to another town
questions MA, asks Rama not to keep worrying for such small things. Ila
arrives singing some song. Gets scolded by MA for not making it early.
JC takes the key - the jingbang enters the house. Rama goes in to
bring the report while the rest wait in the hall. No one notices the
things left on the dining table. Ila too is to accompany them to the
hospital. Rama with her report and all of them make it to the door when
Subbu's handphone rings. They all turn to look for the phone. Rama
takes the call, some advt. She finds 2 missed calls from Ganga too. It
is ok, maybe she forgot is MA's take. Ila comes around the dining
table, telling her mother, it is okay if Subbu forgot the phone, but she
has left all the things that had to be given at the temple and also her
change of dress on the dining table. Ila is scared that something
could have happened to Subbu. Rama gets scared. Ila is scolded for
scaring Rama. JC says always discount Ila's talks. They leave for the
hospital, Rama's sari pallu knocks off Subbu's photo which falls down
and breaks. The deaf jingbang just leaves.
The
foursome arrive at the hospital and seat themselves. JC spots the
nurse and says have an appointment to meet the doc. The nurse asks for
the file - JC asks Rama for the file. She is in her own lala land. Ila
shouts Rama, she lands on Mother Earth. Give the file says Ila, what
file questions Rama (suththam) MA says the
file that is lying on Rama's lap. The nurse asks if Rama is unwell, Ila
answers thats why they have come to see the doc. The nurse vanishes
into the doctor's cabin. JC asks Rama what is bothering her. She is
thinking about her mother who forgot the phone, the pooja items, left
even before Ila could join her which was the original programme. Ila is
thoughtful. My mother would not have left like that she says very
confidently. Ila wanted to tell it that time itself but appa only
stopped me, would something have happened to athai she innocently asks. (I think I heard her say appa) MA scolds her for fanning Rama's fears. Rama wants to have a word with Ganga.
JC
calls Ganga. Rama updates about her visit and the pooja items lying on
the dining table. Tells Ganga that she is feeling very scared. Ganga
is worried too. Who are with Rama, Ganga wants to know. JC, MA &
Ila - then dont worry, Ganga takes up responsibility of Subbu. Wants
Rama to call after the checkup is done. Rama is called for by the doc.
Ila, MA & Rama go in. The doc checks Rama, questions why so much
of tension. BP is so high. The doc advises that it is not good for the
child if she becomes so tensed. Subscribes medicine because Rama does
not want trips (BP raise aanaa tripsaa??)
They leave, but just before Ila goes out the doc asks about Vadivu.
Ila says why not asking about Ila who is here but about Vadivu who is
at home, what is so special ? You will get to know it soon says the
doctor waving bye bye to all of them.
MA
says this is 5th month for Rama, so should make 5 mixed rice. Ila says
will wait until Subbu returns . Rama wants to make a trip to
Vaideeswaran kovil. MA says she would come in two days, so why worry,
MA is there for Rama. Ila goes home calling for Vadivu. No answer.
This karuvapaiyya is also missing goes Ila sitting on the swing. She
wonders aloud as to why the doctor was asking for Vadivu's wellbeing?
Maybe Vadivu is preggie before Ila she worriedly thinks...

Wednesday - Feb 22
Ila
sitting in the oonjal and pondering why DR enquired about Vadivu. She
talks to herself thinking if she has becoem pregnant. calls Vadivu and
enquire her you look different.Vadivu hides her stomach. Ila enquires
why the Dr enquired about Vadivu. Vadivu some how samaluchufied saying
nothing. Once inside they both say how long they can hide it.
In
Ayya house, Ayya aks Natchiyar and Charu did Subbu call? Everyone come.
Ayya seems worried. Natchiyar as usual mazhupifies. Temple priest comes
and says that the cow they donated for Ganga delivery, disappeared. he
says do not worry usually they will be found. Ila is upset that some
thing might happen to Ganga. As usual all shut her mouth. Vadivu asks is
there a parigaram needed. Priest says pray God.
After he leaves everyone seems worried. Natchiyar and Ayya say they feel some thing is wrong.
At
night time, Ganga is thinking as well. SK comes down and asks her why
not sleep yet. Ganga says I am worried about Mom. She says what Rama saw
in the house that Subbu left everything in the house. Ever since Rama
called, I am worried. SK asks Ganga to call EO of Vaitheeswaran temple.
She asks him did her mom come and he says he knows her well and he
didn't see her at all in the past two days. Ganga is shocked.
Karpagam
tells Ganga to call the family of Deivanai where Subbu usually stay.
ganga calls natchiyar. She asks Natchiyar to call Deivanai and enuire if
Subbu came. Natchiyar calls her and enquire. Deivanai says Subbu never
came. Natchiyar calls Ganga back and tell her the same. Ganga tells
Natchiyar to wake up Ayya.Ganga and SK go. Some how in Ayya house all
are assembled including Rama family. Ayya worries I don't know why
this is going on.
karthi comes and scolds them all saying Subbu
might have gone to temples may be to Kasi. And in Kasi she might have
taken a bath in Gangai. While taking bath appadiye Athoda...
Everyone looks at him shocked.

Thursday - Feb 23 - Brief Update - Subbu Search mission
Ayya scolds Karthik and asks him to shut his mouth.
Innikku
nothing important. yellarum team teama poi Subbu va search panrangga.
Sisters, Natchiyar, Ila and vadive appadinnu. They search all places
like temples, Bus stand, relative houses. They all come back saying
Subbu nowhere to be found.
karthik is enjoying all these.
Ayya
suggests that they can advertise in TV and Newspaper and give police
complaint. Ganga brainiac says no that will publicize the issue and when
Subbu is returned everyone will tease her. All agree to that.
Next
Ganga suggests nothing to take wrong - but we need to search in
hospitals. All are shocked. Finally agree to the dumb idea and Rama and
JC run to all hospitals and could not find Subbu.
Finalla
yeallrum Moolaikku moolai sitting. Natchiyar asks them to say some
thing. Ganga says We can't find Amma and kalyana thethi very
nerungiduchu...
Sangu BGM goes on.

Nachiar home –
everyone takes a position behind a tunne sitting sadly. Nachiar is
polambing and asks them to say something on Subhu missing. Ganga says
that they have looked/searched around for Subhu but could not find her.
In additional Charu wedding also nearing. Sara suggests to Ayya to
inform mapley family about the issue. Nachiar and Muthuarasi ask them to
be patient until Subhu returns.But Ayya orders Gangga to inform mapley
family before they find out from someone else.
At nite some
policemen come to Gangga house. Gangga and her husband lodge informal
report on her mother missing. They request the police to search for
Subhu secretly and inform her time to time on the progress.
Mapley house –
Gangga, Vadivu and Nachiar ajar . They inform mapley family about Subhu
missing for past 1 week. Mapley father is shock and asks them why they
never inform him earlier. Nachiar says that they were expecting Subhu
will back in few days. Jothi asks whether Subhu will return or not.
Gangga is very sure that her mum will return. Mapley father says that
they also will search Subhu together and at the same time proceed with
Charu wedding plans. They also can conduct a simple wedding at the
temple if Subhu doesnt return until then. Jothi against the idea saying
AKA is the only son and wants to have agrand wedding. Nachiar is very
sure that the wedding will take place accordingly. Jothi ask Gangga
whether she will continue with the wedding even her mum does not return.
Vadivu is very irrirates with Jothi and tells her that the wedding will
happen with or without Subhu. Gangga is very confirm that her mum will
there for the wedding
Nachiar home
again – Nachiar inform Ayya about mapley house decision and
co-operation. Illa intervenes saying that she also has part in informing
mapley house on the issue. As usual vadivu shuts her. Illa requests
ayya to ask Charu on her decision on the wedding. Ayya asks Charu
opinion having the wedding as per said date. Charu tells Ayya that she
does not agree to have her wedding without her mum. Ayya console her
saying that Subhu will defitnetly return for her wedding. Ayya says that
their true pasam will bring back Subhu to them again. Charu asks Ayya,
whether they will proceed with the wedding even her mum didnt turn up.
Ayya unable to anwser her and looks vitting Gangga sadly. Gangga
consoles Charu and tells her to accept perianvannga advices. Muthuarasi
also consoles Charu and tells that she will stop praying to God is Subhu
fails to return home. Charu said how to marry without her mum
presence... Freeze
