A husband can throw a wife of seventeen years out of the house. What if she did not have family in the area? Why could she not say that this is her house and he can leave. It seems to me that a woman become a part of her husband's family but they never accept her.

BTW this soap is not the only one. In almost every show husbands have thrown or tried to throw their wives out of the house at least once and the wife mops around to be accepted back. AND viewers support it.

Exactly my thoughts..so posting this again. To treat a wife in this manner is totally disgusting.

That too a wife, who leaves her own home, changes her name, gives up her career , and devotes all her energy to home and kids. In my opinion Sweety ji should not have moved out, she should have thrown him and his mom out. He has a problem he needs to get out bag and baggage.

Why leave? The home is acutally as much as her as his. She has a right on that home.
So what if he is angry that is no excuse to treat/ or speak to a WOMAN.

I also hate a man that will tell his wife to get out like dude she has been with you go so long and u think u can just kick her out!!! A women needs to learn to defend herself!! But wat I like about this show is that it shows that women have a swabiman self respect while in most shows they don't!!!!

Our culture is flawed..but I have been keeping up with the latest developments on the legal front and the courts are trying to arrest the number of increasing divorces in the country by making sure that the husband does not get let off just paying alimony...but has to part with half his property in case of a divorce!

In such a scenario frivolous cases of breaking homes, like the one that has been easily adopted by Lucky ,would be controlled to some extent..

You're absolutely right! Its disturbing that husband can throw wife out like that after 17 yrs of marriage. Its rather absurd too. But it can happen in India.
Desi husbands often do ask  wife to leave the house when they are mad at them, thats because wife doesnt co-own the house like in western countries.
Here in the US, when a couple splits due to arguments, the husband leaves the house and stays in an apartment while the wife lives in the house with her kids till matters are resolved or they get a divorce. Even in divorce, wife gets the house if there are kids, husband usually agrees to that without demur, because Family law recognizes that kids need to stay with the mom till they are a certain age and where would the mom go with her kids? So she gets to keep the house...unless wife herself leaves the house and kids and hubby.
But yeh baat sach hai arguments honay per Indian husband aksar biwi se kehta hai "tum yeh ghar chhodkar chali jaao"...OR he says..." agar tumhey problem hai toh ghar chhodkar chali kyun nahin jaati?"
Its an ugly truth that but reality that happens in many households!
