^His mom was clearly referring to Priya. And I still can't fathom why she hasn't seen the sindoor yet when it is so blatantly spread all over her parting.

I know she meant Priya ...  what i  meant was  that  will she  accept Devyani in the near future? At the moment she is willing to do anything for the girl who SJ likes, but will it be the same for Devyani?

I think SJs feelings about Devyani havent just come out of nowhere. He went to see if she was alright, very late at night, he is admiring her for being brave, he went to see her after Brahmas accident. These feelings just developed and hes now beginning to realise it. As they say opposites do attract.

As for Devyani being supportive to Uttara and not the other way round, i think the CVs want to show Devyani being the stronger sister and looking out for Uttara as she has always done.
Devyani believes Brahma to be still alive whilst Uttara thinks he really is dead.

SJ and men like them - born charmers, suave, ladies men

they are the best friends to have actually.  unless you are the gullible type you know exactly where you stand with them.  you can enjoy their lighted hearted banter, flirt a little and still come away with no illusions.

these men typically have no problem getting women.   women are attracted to them.  the abundance of choice makes the pursuit boring and typical for them.

devyani is attracting his attention because she is not fawning over him.  she is a strong confident woman who treats him like a friend.  she appreciates his advice,  brushes off any strong vibes and does not respond to him in a dreamy, attracted or romantic fashion

this is the atypical type of woman who is sure to pique his interest more than it is warranted, to get the curiosity going which we all know killed the cat (with love ahem...)

it seems to me like they are trying to soften Devyani's look. her face makeup is more earthy and fresh, less heavy. so his her jewellery and her hair.  they are makign her look softer, less matronly and more feminine in a very subtle way. I am liking it

And that SJ. did you notice him escorting her in. not a  single ounce of unwanted man meat on torso   its all there in the right quantity and exactly where needed

I like Aditya - priya but I think the SJ Devyani dynamic will eb more interesting now than the Aditya -priya makeup.  anyways both should be fun.

watchign priya and aditya make-up is like watching last years BMW and audi models getting a tune up as compared to watching SJ Devyani which is like watching the jaguar model take over mercedes benz a whole different calibre

one is sporty and speedy while the other is classy and perfectly paced

Hope...I agree. The writers have been building this up methodically in that SJ has been shown slowly being more and more familiar and comfortable with Devyani. We do not really know his age...so there may not be a huge age difference there. As far as Aditya and Priya are concerned...this is just my two cents...they have always been shown as impetuous and extreme in their reactions. Except for the very beginning (pre-marriage), I never quite warmed up to their "love"...it all seemed too impulsive and quick. But Devyani and SJ have a friendship that is slowly growing in to something more. He is not trying to change her...he likes her for who she is...with her weaknesses. I love that he is able to poke fun of her attitude and make her take herself more lightly.

I find it so funny that the moment Brahma has been missing for a few episodes, he is so missed! In their rush to "hate" this character, people forget what an awesome job Vishwajeet does in engaging the viewer. Nobody else could play this part this way. Without him and Mona, the show is missing a huge entertainment factor!
