~ 4th January Written Update ~

Starts from yesterday where Uttara freaks out at Tara then hugging her and apologising.
'Jeevan Mera' plays with Uttara crying, Devyani in bed in thought, Priya Aditya still outside, Vidya in bed watching Gaurav sleeping. Uttara remembers Brahma touching her and she rubs trying to free herself from his touch.
Brahma is in his room and is thibking of what he should do to stop Devyani from telling everyone when he sees Aditya going past and thinks of using Aditya.

Its morning, Uttara and Tara come to the breakfast. Seeing Uttara looking very gloomy, Vidya enquires if shes ok. Tara tells them how Uttara hasnt slept all night. Brahms comes to the table, all are there except Aditya, even Bauji is present. Devyani exchanges glances with Bauji and Priya.
Devyani tells everyone that she is divorcing her husband Mr Brahmanand Jakhar. All are shocked except Bauji and Priya even Uttara is shocked. Just then we can hear clapping and its none than Aditya. He taunts her for wanting a divorce because of her special friend Shubankar Jaiswal. Again those who dont anything are again left with another jhatka. Bauji tells Vidya to take Tara from there which she does.
Devyani goes to Adi and tells him she wants a divorce but not because there is someone else in her life. Aditya asks why she does when his dad doesnt and why is it necessary for a divorce now after all these years. Devyani tells him not necessary but helplessness. Aditya tells Devyani since eveyone knows she might as well tell them shes bored of Brahma, feels suffocated and wants to be free so she can spend her life with SJ and she is having an affair with SJ. Devyani slaps Aditya Shocked

(sorry Aditya, but you had it coming). All look on in shock. Devyani tells him how he can say something so despicable about his mother (go Devyani go). She says SJ has nothing to do with the divorce, she wanted the divorce when she didnt even know SJ. Aditya tells her its all lies, if she wanted the divorce then why didnt she tell them before. He knows and so does everyone else, that there is alot of love between her and Brahma. Devyani tells him it was all a pretence, they never were happy with each other. It was all an act put up in front of family and society. Aditya tells her hes not a fool (really?) Priya tells him to stop but he tells her to shut up and not interfere. Priya tells him she will, this makes Brahma sit up. She tells Aditya how he talks but is not willing to listen, how he wants answers but has decided not to believe what Devyani tells him. She continues saying if he wont believe his mum then to ask his dad what the truth is. Brahma is scared LOL

. Priya tells Aditya to ask his dad why all of a sudden on Karvachauth Devyani became unwell (remember she choked), its because Brahma asked for a divorce. Aditya looks at Brahma, who gives him the famous Brahma pitiful look Dead

. Aditya tells them why should he ask his dad when his dad is already worried about the change in his mother. Aditya tells Devyani how he feels his dads loneliness and because of SJ she wants a divorce.
Not being able to listen to anymore, Bauji gets up. He tells Aditya hes heard alot of his nonsense and he (Aditya) seems to have forgotten how to talk to his elders. Bauji tells Aditya if he says one more word then he will slap him hard and tells him to get lost. Aditya leaves. Gaurav goes after him.
Priya who also has had enough by now goes to Uttara and tells her theres a limit to being shameless and how she just sat there watching everything. Why didnt she say that she (Uttara) was the reason for the divorce. How Aditya was accusing and shouting at Devyani and she just sat there, not saying a word. Priya goes on saying not to stoop so low that she will fall in her own eyes. While all this being said Brahma is stiing and munching on snacks (he thinks hes watching a film). Bauji tells Priya theres no point in making Uttara understand, she hasnt any shame left and only thinks about herself. Uttara, after being told off more leaves from the table.

In Uttaras room, Naina Banjare plays and Uttara remembers her moments with Brahma and what happened at breakfast. She is crying (whoever said we'll get to see Uttara crying for the next few episodes, well they were right).

Priya is asking Devyani why she didnt say anything about Brahma and Uttara to Aditya when he asked. Devyani tells Priya,(Bauji is also with them) how Brahma told Uttara he wont marry her and she is not over the shock yet and does not want to trouble her more. Priya tells her then it was more of a reason to tell Aditya everything, even Uttara would have supported her. Devyani tells her Uttara would never support her as she knows Brahma must have threatened her and she will not say a word. And how could she say in front of Aditya and Gaurav that she had an affair with their dad. Priya tells Devyani she doesnt think Uttara would have a problem in saying anything as she was going to make an annoncement anyway. Priya tells Devyani she doesnt understand how can Devyani take Uttaras side. Deyani answers by saying she is not taking sides but is just trying to understand Uttaras situation and she doesnt want to trouble her more. She also knew this would happen to Uttara and she did try to make her realise but she was blinded and now the blindfold has come off. Devyani tells Priya to stop worrying about her and to think about Aditya. She tells Priya to stop the argument between her and Aditya and to be with him as he needs her. Maybe Priya will be able to make Aditya understand.

Aditya is in his room and Gaurav is with him. Aditya tells Gaurav not to take their mothers side like Priya and has he forgotten what Devyani did to him and Vidya. Gaurav tells him he is not taking sides but he should have found out the whole truth before accusing their mother. Aditya tells him is he trying to say that their dad is at fault, it was their mother who fell in love and wants a divorce. Aditya tells Gaurav he knows he and their dad have differences but that doesnt mean he has to trust their mother blindly without thinking (is'nt that what you're doing Aditya?) its wrong. Gaurav tells Aditya if he has ever thought why there are so many problems between him and dad. How he (Aditya) never even thought to ask. Why his own son doesnt love and respect him? Aditya tells him then why didnt he see anything? Gaurav says they kept it hidden from him and he was away from home. But he (Gaurav) saw everything. Gaurav tells him to before saying anything atleast find out the truth regarding their mother. Aditya sees Priya in the doorway and says mothers secretary is here. He tells her she must be here to prove Brahma wrong. Priya tells him to think with a cool head then react. Aditya tells her he doesnt want to think and understand and if they cant understand his situation then he is not willing to understand them. Priya tries to talk to Aditya but Gaurav tells her to leave it as theres no pint in talking to Aditya at the moment as he will only talk and listen to what Brahma has told him. Gaurav sternly tells Aditya he is blinded but when the blindfold comes off then he will understand who is right and who is wrong. Gaurav leaves.

Vidya is in her room saying she cant believe Brahma and Devayni are going to divorce. Tara tells her thats what maasi said. Vidya tells Tara people say things in the heat of the moment, maybe they had an argument and anyway everyone was happy at the party. Nothing will happen and everything will be alright. Tara asks her to promise. Vidya makes an excuse of getting her hot milk and leaves.
Vidya sees Imli taking the food for Imli. She notices Imli looks worried. Vidya tells Imli she cant understand how Devyani can take such a decision when she always taught them to keep the family united. Imli tells her it must be something for Devyani to take such a step. Vidya tells Imli to tell her what she knows but Imli evades the question by saying she is just a servant and doesnt know anything except Devyani must has tkaen this step with a lot of thought. Imli tells Vidya if she knew she would tell her and leaves, leaving Vidya in thought.

PRECAP

Brahma telling Uttara he doesnt love her but she tells him she does and if Devyani is divorcing him then why cant he accept her. She knows he doesnt love her but tells him not to distance himself from her and hugs him. Brahma has his arms around Uttara. As he looks up he sees someone standing there watching them, only his back is shown ( I think its Aditya from the colour of the shirt).

Thanks for the quick WU. I have been giving Aditya the benefit of doubt for quite sometime thinking he has been blindfolded by his love for his dad and to certain extent fogave his actions but today I am happy Devayani slapped him. Why Devyani Why did you stop with just one.

I hope by concentrating so much on Adi's disbelief or as so often mentioned lately in the serial "aankhon pe patti", the CV's don't rush up or rush through other issues like Karans attempted murder, RD and her issue with Brahma (I am sure there must be one or else why hate him so much?) and most importantly, Priya and Brahmas past. This should take some space too as it is very important. Probably ,this may be the only truth that will open Adi's eyes fully. But there's so little time and I am worried that justice may ne be done with the show this late. We can only hope.

Great update, Fizi.

Bauji's putting Aditya in his place was great. So I'm guessing Brahma off screen played the pitiful father in front of Aditya again. I wonder why Aditya didn't ask about KC incident. Does he think Priya's lying, or does he think his father asked for the divorce because of the "SJ affair" which he thinks has been going that far back?

Gaurav asked Aditya the most fitting question: Has Aditya ever bothered to ask or find out why Gaurav problems with his father? The answer is no. He's never bothered to find out. He admitted it back in the hospital that he always figured it was Gaurav's fault. And of course of half a day he started doubting his previous belief. For half a day.

Gaurav said all the right things to Aditya, but its like talking to brick wall. Hes not willing to listen to anyone.

If Aditya was willing to listen to Priya she could also tell him some of the reasons why shes disturbed and why she wanted them to move out.

Adi got "selective hearing" and CV's got "selective reading between lines" and us , we all want to do some more tamachas too.
