Puja, Puja, Puja! I HAD to log in and say this. You hit the proverbial nail on the head as always! Simply said, yet absolutely true and brilliant. Clap

As for me...give me the "boring" or "seedha" guy who loves me with all his heart. I'm also very boring according to my friends. We'll live our stable, boring life Happily Ever After.

Opposites attract...true...But do they last is the bigger question. (I'm sure that some of you will have answers for that too. LOL)

I feel that in real life there is a very low chance of this happening. Reel life is not comparable.

well, I married a volcano and I am damn glad I did.  He is a little on the wild side, but a teddy bear at heart.  3 yrs later, we are still happy and I don't consider myself traumatized and emotionally crippled, but I guess it up to each individual to be able to handle it.

I have to agree puja on this one.  In real life it takes time for a person to change. Age, maturity and circumstances  play a big role in changing a person. Today I am totally different person than the way I was as a teenager.

I am settled in US and happily married to my high school sweetheart for a very long time. We are exactly the opposite including looks. When I was a teenager I was extremely short tempered, impulsive and was an egoistic person.  That time my husband was very understanding.  Due to family pressure we had to marry when my husband was just 23. The first few years were really tough for me with my in- laws.

But then I didnt had choice and I had to adjust with my new life. As it was a love marriage and there was no turning back. That time my husband supported me all the way. I will never forget that. So even if my husband throws tantrums and get on my nerves by asking to fetch water and do things for him its OK with me.

As you grow older you get tamed automatically. Sometimes circumstances play a huge role in changing you. I never thought I would change so much after getting married. Its as if we have switched roles. But I have accepted him with all his faults and he accepted me with all of mine.

As tina and emma said it's true that opposite attract.

 But an awesome one !!!!Clap

   It reminds me of a very sweet and very dear cousin of mine,who till the age of 25 looked down on anyone who married outside caste or against their parent's wishes and especially who did not choose their life partners 'carefully'........

    We are bengali  and an an Assamese guy,who was a family friend,a very nice guy and a very good friend too kept persuing her for ages and she of course applied her same level headed logic for refusing him......

    Until she herself,out of the blue,fell in love with the most unlikeliest of men.LOL My snooty sister fell for a guy who was not really established ,came from an entirly different background than her own,was an assamese and her parents were dead against itLOL

     She fell into her own pit,nice and slimy. Needless to say,they did get married ,with the vociferously relunctant blessings of their respective elders.They have two beautiful kids and now they have a roaring business.

     However,there are many things that need to be worked out even today and they have had some terrible downs on the personal front.The stormy marriage has not been easy. But as she says,she has the satisfaction of making the choice and living it out.........she does have a few regrets but ultimately,her love for her husband overcomes it and vice versa.....

  {  Bubudi,if you ever read this,I just want to tell you that you are really a gr8 girl,a very brave girl and I love you sis....Hug}

    Sorry folks,but she is very special to me and what devil drivers said fits her to T so I could not resist....Smile
