Akshaye Khanna |
It was apna Akshaye Khanna's birthday on March 28. And the diligent actor just refused to indulge in candles and confetti. What kept him occupied? He was the first to reach the sets of Nikhil Advani's Salaam-E-Ishq; he kept rehearsing his lines along with co-stars.
We hear that director Advani let him pack up early. However, the birthday boy just refused to leave the sets without finishing his portions.
After getting over the day-long gruelling schedule, he rushed to his residence and relished on a quiet dinner with family and friends. Now that's called keep it low and simple!
Achcha pati

Akshay Kumar and Twinkle |
Caught Akshay Kumar in the front row for Surily Goel's show.
Yes, we were surprised. Cause AK never attends any dos.
He has kept away even from his personal designer Rocky S's shows all these years.
So what made him make an exception this time?
Biwi Twinkle is apparently a fan of Goel's garbs and wanted to attend, and Akki did the good husband thing and escorted her.

Ameesha Patel |
We got this sweet message from Ameesha Patel to Hrithik Roshan on the birth of his first baby — a boy, on March 28.
Says Ameesha, "We were children together… now the child I knew, has a child.
Such a long journey… in such a short time, now they embark on another journey.
A journey of parenthood. I wish them all the best.
Sussanne and Hrithik are beautiful people and now the most beautiful thing has happened to them."

Fardeen Khan with Shaahid Amir and wife Shehnaz Amir |
On March 26, Bollywood designer, Shaahid Amir, launched his menswear at Studio Saks. Studio Saks is owned by the two sisters, Sabitha Asrani and Upasana.
Fardeen Khan unveiled the collection. Shaahid has designed Fardeen clothes ever since his first film.
The designer's range consisted of shirts and kurtis in cottons and voiles, mainly whites, blues and earth colours for the summer, with self embroidery and hand-made detailing, which is his trademark style.
The event was a huge success, where he sold more than 65 per cent of his garments in less than 2 hours and has orders for more.
Studio Saks houses garments by other designers like Falguni and Shane Peacock, J J Vallaya and Wendell Rodricks — to name a few.
Seeking shelter behind John
| |
Shivani Kapoor and John Abraham |
It was an unexpected blooper at Lakme Fashion Week's opening day that has left John Abraham embarrassed to the core.
While Johnny baby took the ramp for friend Rocky S, little did he know that the otherwise meticulous Shivani Kapoor would fidget with her headgear that came off with the first step she took.
And instead of dropping it aside, Kapoor tried hiding it behind John's bod.
We hear John even muttered, "What are you trying to do behind my back?" The smart bloke that he is, they resumed their walk making it appear as if nothing had happened.
Madhavan was never offered Guru
| |
Madhavan |
On hearing reports that he refused Ratnam's Guru, the RDB actor had this to say, "Am I mad to say no to Mani Sir? He made my career in Hindi films. I'd happily accept any role he offered me."
As it turns out, Ratnam's cast will have Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Vidya Balan in the film. But the film has no second hero. It was expected that Madhavan would bail out his mentor from this casting crisis, when he needed him the most.
Madhavan insisted, "First of all, Mani Sir hasn't approached me for this film." We wonder who's spinning this tale.
Rupali's a cheerleader

Rupali Ganguly |
If you hear a woman screaming and yelling when Sanjit Bedi walks on stage to present an award at a recently-held function, don't be surprised. The voice is of none else than Sarabhai's Monisha — Rupali Ganguly.
The actress went on a berserk vocal trip when her friend Bedi climbed the stage.
Maybe she was confused that he was presenting an award and not winning one. Whatever the case, one must appreciate her guts to live it up her own way!
Saakshi happy with Mohnish exit
| |
Saakshi Tanwar |
Sources from the sets of Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii reveal that Parvati bhabhi is finally breathing a sigh of relief since the day her co-star Mohnish Behl has left the show.
Says a source, "She could not stand him, and they would only talk only during their scenes." It is reported that Saakshi and Mohnish had huge ego clashes and preferred maintaining a distance between each other.
However things have changed now that Behl isn't a part of the Kahaani parivar. "She is more easy and relaxed since he isn't around."
