Love Makes Life Beautiful!
It was raining continuously since last two hours. Shilpa was standing at her bedroom window. It was almost midnight. Her husband was taking a sound sleep on their bed. And she was crying silent tears on her fate. The nights like these made her even more weak. In fact she was never happy with this marriage in the first place. Her family, rather her father forced her into this and the obedient daughter she was, she could not refuse it either. Especially when the man she loved, whom she wished to see as her life partner was no more. He was dead! Her love, Varun was dead, and she was here, standing in someone's house, someone's bedroom being called as Mrs. Shilpa Armaan Mallik!
Shilpa remembered her life just a year back. It was perfect. She had loving and caring parents, an elder sister, and a loyal, honest plus a handsome boy as her boyfriend. Varun was perfect, as her life partner. He was an officer in Indian Air force, better called Army. He was a chilled out, cool and sweet boy. And more importantly, he loved her from the bottom of his heart. Tears kept flowing continuously as she recalled those moments when he was with her. It all felt like a dream, when her Varun was there by her side. She wanted them to get married as early as possible. But his constant projects and missions made it difficult for them to even spend few moments together. How funny and unbelievable it was, that a doctor like her met an army man and fell in love with him. But whatever it was, she knew Varun was her soul mate. Though Shashank, her dad never approved of their relation, she was ready to face it, if Varun was there by her side. That was the kind of faith, she had on their relation. And hence when the news of his accidental death came, she refused to believe it.
As it is said, time is the right medicine for every wound, the pain of losing Varun started fading. She started to believe maybe god wanted her to live for other people in her life, her parents, and her sister. She started trying to concentrate on her job, her patients. Not to mention, her friends were there to help her whenever she felt depressed. Soon, life started coming on track. And then one day Shashank, announced her alliance with Armaan. She was broken, yet again. Armaan was her colleague in Sanjeevani, where she was doing her internship. She knew, he had feelings for her, but she never thought, he would actually ask for hand in marriage.
It was one month now, she became Mrs. Armaan Mallik. She had taken a vow at the time of this marriage that she would never let anyone take Varun's place in her life, in her heart. Hence she kept neglecting all the little things armaan was doing for her. She was holding grudges against him, for just one reason, for marrying her. Or maybe she was taking all her depression about her fate, on him. It made her even more frustrated when armaan never said a word about it. Her bitter attitude, her rude behavior, her neglecting made no change in his love and care for her. Though she never cried in front of him taking Varun's name or never mourned over her fate, he was trying to ease her pain. And she hated it. She hated the fact that slowly she was becoming weak again. Slowly, armaan was taking a place in her heart, not of Varun's but there was a small place in her heart now, for him, and she surely hated it.
Unknown to her, her husband was wide awake. How could armaan sleep, when Shilpa, HIS Shilpa was in pain? How he wished to go and engulf her in his arms. How he wished to take away all the thoughts which made her cry. How he wished, she understood, for once, he loved her more than his life. In fact SHE was his life!I know a bit depressing story, but i just could not stop writing it. Studies taking a toll but will try to update this one soon. next part will be armaan's POV 😊 this is a short story of 1 or 2 more parts.
