TVD's leading lady, Nina Dobrev recently revealed to Mingle Media TV that in the New Year, her character Elena will experience some very painful heartbreak. According to the actress, quote: "There's a big Elena-Stefan scene coming up that will air in the New Year and it was a very heartbreaking scene that took a lot of energy out of all of us."

No word on what exactly we'll be seeing, but the word heartbreak sort of says it all. Perhaps this devastation will send Elena into the arms of Damon.

O Wow... this sounds great, its gonna be a huge roller coaster ride for Delena Dancing

and Stelena shippers... cause there is a huge emotional trauma in store for the leads Thumbs Up

Im very sure i'll love this scene even though it'll be sad.

Paul Wesley is basically going to be flawless in that scene. Definitely looking forward to it.

Wow... the return of TVD will going to be epic.. Damon / Elena finally happening.. awww, i so cant wait.. but all this wait gonna payback
Looking forward for SE scene.. i am so into these emotional scenes.. sigh..
