Nimmo is part of a close-knit family which includes her dada and dadi (played by Dara Singh and Dolly Thakore, first time on television respectively). Her father Anand Mathuria, essayed by Muni Jha, loves her the most. Besides her parents, Nimmo also has two younger sisters, Swati and Naina, who are very different from her. Naina wants to be a Miss India and hook a rich guy, whereas Swati is highly practical, bold and wants to marry a guy who has his own news channel or has enough money to open one (why this craze for news channels now days).
Nimmo is a simple girl who is very confident, bubbly and full of life! She is also very content and satisfied with her life. But she is very clumsy, tripping, breaking glasses quite often and getting into trouble generally. Reminds you of Jassi, doesn't she?
Nimmo seems to have a major problem with God, who she thinks, is out to get her. The fact that God is played by Navjot Singh Sidhu, in a never seen before avtar will definitely be fun to watch, for the ex-cricketer turned TV anchor will be in his element, giving his famous Siddhiusm but this time as God.
Deepak Sehgal, EVP Content & Communication, Star India Pvt Ltd, after cutting the cake said, "The show will be by far, our biggest launch this year. After the successful launch of shows like Great Indian Laughter Challenge, Nach Baliye, DON and other shows on the fantastic Friday band, we aim to create the same excitement with this show on weekdays. Since the show is produced by Balaji, the leader in television programming and our association with them has been a great; we are thrilled to welcome them to be a part of Star One now."

Eijaaz who is often described as Ekta Kapoor's blue eyed boy, describes his character as a playboy type of person who has everything in life. Asked as to why he only works for Ekta (Kahiin To Hoga, Kavyanjali), Eijaaz who really seemed to enjoy the music and dance at the party, said, "Why not? I am very comfortable with Balaji."
The twist in the tail comes when Nimmo meets Kunal Sehgal, (Eijaz), and gets married to him. A move that completely surprises her family. But there is more to this marriage than what meets the eye! Nimmo's marriage with Kunal is contractual and not everyone in the Sehgal family is delighted to see their heir married to the likes of Nimmo.
The show also has Navneet Nishan who plays a typical rich Punjabi lady from the Sehgal family. Navneet who was happily puffing away her cigarette while chatting with us, immediately dumped her fag, the moment the press photographers came to click her pictures. Navneet says that she will never be able to replicate the success of her first show, Tara. "I have done several genres and would love to try my hand at tragedy."
We caught up with Sujata Mehta who plays Nimmo's mother, as she was gorging on salads. "We have take to care of our diet," she explained. Sujata's character is of a fashion designer, who desperately wants to break into page 3.
To make this daily serial interesting a number of popular songs will be picturised on the cast, with Nimmo having nearly one song each episode. But what really takes the cake is the 'Dus bahane...' number which has been picturised on Bharati Achrekar, who plays the interfering, but friendly aunty of the family, Kanta Bahen.
The party seemed to rock with TV stars like Hiten Keswani, Gauri Pradhan, Rakshanda Khan and Anju Mahendroo turning up in strength to wish Balaji and the stars best of luck for their new venture. After the press interviews were over, all the stars hit the dance floor and boogied away till the wee hours of the morning.
Sanjeeda asked all viewers to stop doing whatever they do every
Monday to Thursday at 10 and share a tear, few smiles and lots of
laughter with Nimmo and her family.
