LATE NIGHT POETRY
part 1, the seduction
softly, swiftly, you come to me
a sweet whispering breeze
playing with the tendrils of my hair
which I have loosened just for you
I hear a beckoning call
deep within my soul
as your presence glides across my flesh
curling into my being
I savor every moment
cherish every breath
lingering in the night air
in the intoxication that is you
come to me, come to me!
that I might live in the light of your eyes
that I might die in the warmth of your arms
knowing, at last, that I was not alone!
part 2, the rude awakening
but all too quickly, you have gone
a fleeting shadow in the night
so I must tidy myself up
for the demands of the world
again you have wandered away from me
leaving your voice to echo inside
a sorrowful chill creeps in
to all the places you used to be
life drags on
as I try to dull my senses
and hurry through my days
in the aching pain of your absense
a thought, an idea, a yearning dream
the wind has carried aloft my heart
and left me standing alone
in the cold, relentless march of time

wow, excellent work,wonderful array of thoughts.You have penned your thoughts very beautifully.
Now some ideas for the makers of TD--They should put a scene in TD where dk should be seen with a paper and pen and actually penning a few lines and humming it. OR DK standing in front of mirror and DK to DK

Anyhow, thanks, everyone, for the nice comments. I always did enjoy writing poetry. Its certainly encouraging when persons other than myself actually like it! 😆
