INDIA MARCH 23rd
Since my party thread is a launch of the show I am pasting it here:

Atlast, this show has totally succumbed to popular pressure and
glamour gimmicks. It is more evident than ever before. C2005 was
Today's episode can be summed up in one sanskrit saying - Vinaasha kale, vipreeta buddhi.
They're insulting Hrishikesh and Prajakta and the two Giants, Hariharan and Leslie.
Irfan, Sinchan. Sinchan Irfan . Irfan's a good singer, Sinchan's
too thin and too shrill. She's horrible at higher notes...just doesn't
seem to hit those correctly. They sang Koi Mil Gaya...from KMG. Sinchan
really has bad problems with sur. And she's very shaky. Haath zyaada
hilta hai, saath mein sur bhi.
Vishwanath, Raktima. Vishwanath Raktima . Vishwanath has serious
problems in consistancy. Voice's not that great either, passable. But
he certainly has problems sticking to the shruti. Both sang Janu Meri
Jaan...horrible starts by both and there was no josh with Rafi and
Kishore had brought in. Raktima as usual sang way too high and went
Rajeev, Sanchali. Rajeev Sanchali Rajeev actually looks a better
singer than jokers like Vishwanath on the show. He was strictly okay;
stuck to the sur, not much innovation, basically sang ok. Not much feel
either. Sanchali now, is a real good singer. Her ease in singing is
evident. Looks very well trained. And well fed. I would've preferred
Raktima with Rajeev because she can match his scale and range. Tere
bina meri subah nahi jagti, they sang. Plaintive composition, nothing
interesting about it. Who's composition is it? Those English passages
in between are irritating
Aishwarya, Ujjaini. Aishwarya Ujjaini . Now this combo is something
to look out for. They seem made for each other. Aishwarya and Ujjaini
both sang really well. Few slip ups, very minor...especially at higher
notes by Ujjaini, but passable. The feel of the song was brought out
quite well. They sang Gela Gela from Aitraaz. HR. Note to note copy of
R Kelly's Thoia Thiong.
Best jodi out of these is Aishwarya, Ujjaini.
Ujjaini should stop being a drama queen.
Hrishikesh and Prajakta were the best. Hrishikesh is just too good
for these kids. There's finesse in his Gayaki. Prajakta was just okay.
Ofcourse, she's improved from her previous stint on SRGMP. Hrishikesh,
though a classical vocalist, sang Tu Tu Hai Wohi, perfectly with all
the masala in place. Now that's called Gayaki. That's why some of us
stress on classical training. It makes a world of difference.
Many participants were against this pairing since they felt that
their marriage is an added advantage. Bullshit. Asha and Lata are
sisters and they're not exactly at ease singing with each other.
Vishwas should stick to singing rather than shout his mouth. Niladri
showed sense. Hrishikesh expressed his shock and Prajakta started
crying. They shouldn't insult them like that.
There were clips showing each person saying what he thought of his
partner. What does Raktima mean Vishwanath has oldie-oldie looks?
What's that gotta do with Singing?. They're one pair who're not
comfortable with each other. Irfan and Sinchan are best friends, so
they're happy, so are Aishwarya and Ujjaini. Rajeev and Sanchali have
accepted and Rajeev did seem happy, and Sanchali seemed satisfied.
Pleasant mannered girl, takes everything with a smile and gives her
And Gajji should really cut all the nonsense melodrama out. The
starting AVs getting the two Gurus also to act...sheeesh man, stick to
Vinaash kale, Vipreeta Buddhi.
ABHI U'r update is simply marvelous and all should know and I say to U lest rack
