Sulaskhana Pandit suffered on account of insisting that she wanted to sing her own songs instead of getting someone else to playback.

Afsana Likh Rahi Hoon is NOT Noor Jehan. It is Uma Devi, the only song she is known for.

If I remember correctly, there were 2 solos by Umadevi in Dard. Suraiya sang one duet with Umadevi & 3 solos. Acouple of songs were by Shamshad Begum.

Yes, I love this song. Surprisingly when Kishore took to music direction, he composed serious songs rather than lilting ones. Even the movies he made were serious.

I didn't miss Lata in this one. Sulakshana sang very well.

Vasundhara Das is another actress + playback singer.
