WB Makes Final Update to PodCast

In sad news today, Warner Bros. released its final episode of their Goblet of Fire podcast. They wrapped things up with a small interview with the cast and included another clip from the DVD.

If you're sad that WB ended their podcast today and are looking for a new show to get obsessed over, try MuggleNet's weekly Harry Potter podcast!

Magical Tours contest update

Phase two of MuggleNet's and Magical Tour's "Trip to England and Scotland Contest" has commenced! The 37 visitors who made it to phase two have been notified and are now carefully figuring out where the latest batch of pictures are from.

For the few hundred of you that entered, the answers to phase one are now posted right here.

This final leg of the contest runs through March 18th. The three winners will be announced sometime during the week of March 19th. Good luck to the finalists!

New downloads on Scholastic's Potter site

A few weeks ago, the American book publisher introduced a new addition to the Fun Stuff section with special downloads for each Potter book. Only Sorcerer's Stone content was available when it first opened, but today Scholastic has introduced the Chamber of Secrets area.

Downloads for Prisoner of Azkaban through Half-Blood Prince will be added in the coming weeks.

HBP Audio Book Nominated for Award

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has been nominated for a 2006 Audie award, in the category, "Children's Titles for Ages 8+." The Audies are the only awards in the U.S devoted exclusively to audiobooks and spoken word entertainment. The winners will be announced on May 19 at a gala at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. Congratulations to Listening Library and Jim Dale!

Radcliffe, Watson, Grint, Isaacs Attend Empire Film Awards

Previously we told youthat Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire had been nominated at the Empire Film Awards. These awards took place tonight in London, and Daniel Radcliffe (Harry), Emma Watson (Hermione), Rupert Grint (Ron), Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy), and film producer David Heyman attended the event. You can see some early photos of the trio at Wire Image hereand more here, with film producer David Heyman, and photos with Jason Isaacs at Getty Images,here. Empire Magazine reports that while Goblet did not win in the categories it was nominated, " the Harry Potter films were likewise bestowed with an honorary award for their contribution to cinema, which was gratefully received by producer David Heyman and stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint." Actor Jason Isaacs actually was the one who presented the award, and we will have more on that as soon as we can.Thanks RR!

Harry Potter Film Actors Sign GoF Book for Charity

Many cast members from the Harry Potter films have autographed a copyof one of the books which is to be auctioned off in support of the National Literacy Trust. This book will be auctioned off on Ebay starting tomorrow, March 14th. This special edition copy of the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire book features autographs from the following film actors:

Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter),

Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley),

Emma Watson (Hermione Granger),

Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy),

Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley),

Katie Leung (Cho Chang),

Jamie Waylett (Vincent Crabbe),

Josh Herdman (Gregory Goyle),

Devon Murray (Seamus Finnigan),

Clemence Poesy (Fleur Delacour),

Afshan Azad (Padma Patil),

James Phelps (Fred Weasley),

Oliver Phelps (George Weasley),

Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom).



All proceeds from this auction "will be donated to the National Literacy Trust's children's literacy initiative Reading Is Fundamental, UK (RIF), which helps children and young people in areas of high deprivation to realise their potential by motivating them to read."
