If gauri thinks that they have not made any crime by marrying each other, then she is definately wrong and if she expects the family to like her in first, then thats too much to expect...

Gauri has not only committed a crime / sin, but she made it worse when she started expecting her in-laws to accept her as bahu ASAP...
 
In Indian culture, even if a bahu is brought home with everyone's choice and acceptance, then also she is highly exepcted to behave as Bahu. No bahu will be tolerated, if she starts throwing tantrums, shouts at the top of her voice, insults the family in front of whole society and starts advising elders on how they should behave with her.
 
So if  she reallly loved J and cared for him then she should have thought through ... but if it was a matter of getting a status of beendni at any cost, then definately G made enough efforts...
