arre Himesh bhai, yeh apney kya kar diya? hum apse bahut "khatti" hain. baja diya na apney hamarey favorite singers ka band? thoda bhee reham nahee kiya?
ab dekhiye, we've been left with no recourse but to appeal for an "enterprising" intitiative- this time to start a Ministry of Culture vagaira vagaira to save our "endangered" favorite singers. although baat thodee confusing hai. kisi aur jageh hum guni-janon ne agree kiya thha kee hamara classical base ab tak strong hai. but maybe we now have second thoughts. arre thoda intelligence un singers ko bhee dedete- kaash aapkee tarah woh bhee audience ke saath connect kar pate, aur adapt kar sakte times ke saath. woh toh upney hee sur mei gatey chalegaye, ab unka bhatta baith hee gaya. wish they'd trained under u at least for mkting, toh unkee aisee naubat nahee aatee. kitne mahapurush hain woh, Bharat Ratna bhee mila. ab army ke jawaanon ke liye toh bas MVC aur PVC hota hai, woh kahaan se Bharat Ratna ke kabil huey? unke liye kuch karna kis kitaab mei likha hai?
waise, there's a silver lining under every dark cloud. yeh bhee achaa career option ab haath mei aa gaya. Now we can take up some of that failed music as a career choice. Agar baad mei chala, toh great, ban gaye crorepati. Else we can go around collecting chanda in the name of protecting our culture. "Foochar" set either way. Theek hai, kisi ne nahee kaha thha kee aise singers bano joh pitt jain. after all, we do have other folks in other worthwhile fields who fail. par baat samjhiye. yeh hamara pet project hai. subsidize toh karna padega. waise, who cares if we have an accident victim dying on the streets. leave them alone. we have to get back home to switch on our pet entertainment.
btw, talking abt chanda for the Culture Ministry, ab paisa pedh pe toh ugta nahee hai. kahaan kahaan paisa duboyenge? money shld be spent on subsidizing our "refined" sensibilities rather than on addressing
more pressing social and economic ills! Theek hai, humara %age public mei low hai nahee toh failure kyoon hota. Par phir bhee, humarey tastes bahut mahaan hain. please bachayein.
Btw, Himesh-ji, watch out. God forbid u need to have an operation, we will also drag you into other controversies. Ab dekhiye, kya baatein kar rahen hain hum Amitabhji ke bare? Amitabh ne toh apney operation
ke bills apney bal-boote peh diye. Par phir bhee, yeh kaisa insaaf hai. Humare favorite singers ko bhee
Waise, doosree orr kee baat bhee suchh hai. Why shld the govt be setting up another socialist bureaucracy? the world over, folks have been dismantling those programs. bahaar ke logon kee akad chalee bhee gayee, but we will insist on music which reminds one of Ambassadors and Fiats. hamei toh bas "welfare culture" chahiye, no matter if it continues to turn entire regions into bigger morasses of underdevelopment and backwardness.
aur dekhiye, we have now begun talking about copying the ministry idea from China. all thanks to u! Ab kya pharek padta hai kee Falun Gong ke saath jo atyachar ho raha hai, we could also end up copying all of that. people whose organs are extracted and incinerated. joh bhee ho, humei koi bhee "free-wala" agenda dikha doh, aur line-up ho jayenge apna naam dalne ke liye jaise koi Beauty Poll chal raha ho.
Btw, we like that music so much, but we will not support it with our own money. Aur bhai, kyoon karein? Ab aam-janta se kyoon na ummeed karein that they shld be part and parcel of subsidizing our singers. So what if they have enough problems of their own? So what if some of them dont have any option but to live a live of drudgery, working hand-to-mouth each day, barely able to make two ends meet. So what if there are kids begging for alms on the corners of major roadways in various metros, people so malnourished that it gives a new definition to the word "stick". So what if there are children born into so much poverty that the life they CHOOSE to live is one given to them without any options, a life on the footpath and without any real education. Nahee yaar, yeh log bekaar hain. koi "worthwhile" log hain toh hum jaise sensible music log, aur hamara sangeet.
HR-ji, hamara culture kee rakhsha kijiye. A culture where Bhagat Singh's sister dies impoverished on a Rs. 2000 per month pension from the government. A culture where the heroes of Kargill have been long forgotten, along with the latest sgmp show, while many in their families live destitute lives, the wives never ever again finding the arms of their loved one, the children too small to ever know their father. Who cares what that is like? A culture where so many tears and agonies are expended for the winners and losers and the talent of "reality shows", and none for the real heroes whose families get a measly few lakhs in compensation. A culture where a bright IIT graduate who CHOOSES to make a life serving ordinary folks in his town gets murdered because the local goons do not care for his ethics and interference. Nahee yaar, culture toh singing mei hain, decency and caring mei nahee.
Culture. A culture of hyprocrisy indeed. While people are burning and toiling away in the heat outside, we want to have cultured Neros fiddling away on their instruments in air-conditioned rooms.
Himesh-ji, thanks to you, we now have folks who will have to depend on hand-outs from others to bail them out from the choices they made. thoda reham kijiye
Rahul - I am speechless. Can't use those stupid emoicon clapping here.
My warm regards to you.
