Just read the mom's long letter starting out with wishing good luck to the top three

then requesting for votes for her daughter (so far so good) but then requesting us

to forward this letter to many many folks and having them getting in touch with a

special gmail account?

In American English, I call this "The holy mother of marketing campaigns". Angry

Nothing happens when I click on the VOTE NOW button. There is some 'error on page' message on the status bar.

Same issue for past 3 days when I am trying to VOTE... :-(

See the screen shots below on how to vote

1. Click on vote now next to the contestant...

2. A small register form appears on the top screen you may need to scroll up (That gets prefilled from Face book profile -if you don't want it you can clear that and enter details. You need to enter a valid email though

3. Click on register(After filling the details) or if it s already filled from FB. Then the vote is acepted.

Pragathi's mother is a full-fledged politician and trained her daughter to be one. Looked at the FB picture Pragathi posted : she stands in a crowd of less fortunate looking boys (darked skinned so that she is a constrast), with a bag of chocolates which she got from her choco showers and giving to the needy. Amma thaye !!!

Then she converted into 2 gold coins her 2nd set of jewellery she won in Semi-Finals and gifted to Anu & Goutam as they didn't win any in that round. Ulaga Maha Nadipu sami !!!!

Obviously for vote bank.

Now it is clear in her FB, her mum, Kanaga Guruprasad, sweet talks by wishing all the finalists and subtly asking for votes ! She is a smiling tiger and I cannot believe all the kids are being fooled by her "friendly & benevolent" gestures but then they are children and so they are innocent. Every time Pragathi and her mum will be the first to run and hug the eliminated contestant !!! Typical American training. The Caucasians usually oversubscribe their feelings in terms of expression but not very true to their hearts.

@flamboyant. How very true about the pictures. However, this is not how americans

are and esp the kids there, they have so much self esteem and pride that they wouldn't

do this. Much better than I have seen it anywhere else including India.

So Pragathi and Mom are not behaving like americans instead, they have not used their

time in the US wisely. Anyway, at our home, we have already written off the finals as hers.

There is no chance anyone can beat nearly 100000 FB likes and a cute smile with millions

of new hormone kids professing Heart

to her.

And to see how to win super singer naturally with a lot of flair, one needs to look no further than last year at Alka Ajith. Man how simple and yet how very powerful.. Why can't they have faith like her.

I did mention in ASSJ3 FB - that it is an age-related matter for these guys. You have put it very appropriately. Otherwise how else how could an ordinary person though with some talent, who came in January this year, got this many Likes ?? Perhaps her family got connections ???

The thing about Caucasians - in our place there is general feedback from friends & colleagues that they use superlatives to express unlike asians we are not quick to come forth to express our appreciation openly. Initially we get carried away then gradually we realise that it's their kind of culture.

About Alka, in ASSJ2 Srikanth apparently (the small boy who shouts instead of singing), got the maximum votes in finals. Mano, very unprofessionally supports him, dont know for whatever reason(s). Srinisha should have been in the finals for her talent.

Though Alka gave a stupendous performance of "Singaravelane", she did not draw the votes as she is stationed in Kerala and only comes to Chennai for the competition. However the organisers in the right frame of mind gave the title & the house to Alka (there was also furore that all the SS title winners are Malayalees and that is bec VTV is run by Malayalees). Srikanth was given the Popularity Award which translates that he got the maximum votes. My friends told that Srikanth's father fought with VTV and finally got the house. The Finals of this competition is not about talent but rather who tops the vote chart.

Majority of people get swooned for children's actions forgetting about talent. Aajeeth is miles apart from Srikanth. We could enjoy Aajeeth's expressions.

Sai Charan got the title last year, as he got 3.5 lakh votes as compared to Sathya who could only draw about 1.5 lakh votes. Sathya was awesome in the Finals and pushed to 3rd place. Santosh whose marks were remarkably lower than Sathya became the runner up. Since VTV & Airtel wants to make money in this manner, public can only write through forums about the unfairness. Well these people have a business to run.

Let's see who gets into the Finals & the winner of the title. Hope there is divine intervention !!!!!!!!!

@flamboyant, Mano is a compromised guy it seems. Like in the movies, there is always

one compromised insider.. Throughout this session, he was giving extra-ordinarily tame

and fuzzy comments at very poor performances from Pragati and one or two others

and very sharp critiques to others. In fact his comments on the positive side for others

usually are "What a beautiful composition" and not the singing. In the last show he judged

(semi-finals?) he couldn't himself to say anything good on Sukanya and was having his

hands on his head. This was the one where Sadhana Sargam and Shubha gave her a 10/10.

Likewise, the guy was very harsh on Anu and made it a point to tell her 2 times why she was bumped out. but come pragati and sir gives the mildest of -ve and very +ve comments.

Judges giving standing ovation to Aajidh and the other participants coming and hugging him. Enna hype!!!! Worst ever drama staged by Vijay TV team. Agreed he was good and he deserves to be in finals if this show is a real hunt for "chella kural" as it claims. But Yazhini's song was far more challenging and she did an absolutely brilliant job. The so called top 3 contestants should have came to give her a hug too if they were genuine. Everything looks so fake. Period.

Unlike most of the contestants Aajidh did not choose classical genre. But that's alright, they have safely named this round as challenging round too.

If am not mistaken both Aajidh and Yazhini are same age. Why this bias?

Actually 90% of the contestants chose classical based songs for the challenging round. Usually in the judges panel you will find someone like Nithyashree or Sowmya. I read somewhere the judges opinion may be counted for the final decision too, in that case why didn't Vijay TV invite even a single carnatic musician to assess the WC performances? Idhulla edhaavadhu sadhi irukkuma? They should have invited a reputed carnatic musician who will be neutral and who has not come b4 to the show like Mannargudi Eswaran or Sugana Purushothaman for the judgement to be fair.
